Liang for Nobel Prize...saving humanity from the greed of the Capitalists
Capitalist America are now cyber attack Deepseek. Trying to deprive ordinary for using AI at fraction cost of American software.
Liang is also a Capitalist by all means. Besides, people will always be greedy. It’s how we apply Capitalism in a way that aligns a nation’s development with the self-interests of entrepreneurs that matters - through balancing competition via strong antitrust laws.
@loopyzreal Liang is a good responsible capitalist. Sure he need funds for future and healthy development of deepseek with profit. He didn't charge an arm or leg for work of deepseek like openAI. This is his different between him and others AI startup.
@@loopyzreal The different between authoritarian rezim capitalism (China) between democratic capitalism (US), is authoritarian capitalism put corporation as slaves to government (The government impose regulations and control the market ), while US (democratic) capitalism put US government as slaves to corporations (the government doesn't dictate the market) . You either live in fake freedom market under corporates slaves (US), or living under government as a slaves (authoritarian rezim). Nothing is free.
May God bless this man and his work. Another Elon Musk in China

I believe when most people leave their comfort zone (home land) thats where they grow in a way they didn't think was possible
For real ... For example, Top Indian talent are being used in U.S.A companies ... Meanwhile Indian tech scene is stagnant
The Chinese used to study and work here. The they started getting sanctioned and attacked by the West. So they decided to focus on themselves.
China has always been different, its the west that is far behind! The west loves distractions and China knows it!

Can you imagine not even being an AI guy, but developing an AI model as a side project that shook the entire US stock market? The massive irony of OpenAI being called "open" too
No one is an "AI guy", just developers and scientists focusing on a field...
They didn't develop it on the side, they developed it as their main project, but utilizing it for a specific market. Then pivot to release it for a larger spectrum.
This is were the things get murkier - how can one startup shakeup US market of nearly 1 trillion $$$ - definitely another scam by top 1%
Real quant traders (the ones on wall street) know more math than "AI guys". AI is all math. It's sad that you will be surprised to learn this from a comment on RUclips.
@@TheBarinco thats so reductive saying AI is just math therefore its easy for someone knowing math.... You know just being able to read a language (math) doesnt automatically make you able to write novels in areas youre not familiar with?
@quantumspark343 it's true though, quants at that level are making customized novel AI models to have an edge on the market. Why do these models have an edge? Because the quants have a deep understanding of how to apply math to model real life phenomenons

The big tech companies might have thought about it, but as someone else's comment put it, "money and greed" (and an astounding lack of pressure from the competition or all those big tech companies' rivals) may just be what led them to "operate" on a comfortable basis...and as a result of that along came Lian Wenfeng into the AI world scene ❤.
It's a nice story! The narrative reinforces my fondness for tech due to the fact of it being almost always filled with unexpected discoveries 😊

@@sashak441 Communist China has a long history of acquiring the tech they want and need from beyond their own borders. And the propaganda value in making the world believe that they accomplished this with Chinese ingenuity using less money and weaker chips is worth their effort.
This is par for the course when reviewing Chinese communist propaganda over the last several decades. Ingenuity has always been a core propaganda point used by the communist Chinese.
The fact that the DeepSeek model was released right before American sanctions on China is a morale booster for the Chinese. The side effects of bringing Nvidia stock down in value 17% is also important to Chinese people. It makes them feel powerful in a time when there is economic chaos in communist China. And China is in recession due to the withdrawal, after COVID and post-COVID supply chain problems, of almost half of the three trillion dollar American investment in communist China.
I used a VPN this weekend and set the server for Taiwan. There were a ton of communist Chinese websites extolling stories about the creator of DeepSeek and communist China's AI capabilities. The amount of propaganda was off the chart. But within the context of China's ongoing economic war with America, it can be chalked up as a moderate win for China this past week.
All this being stated, the idea that DeepSeek has put forth is a good idea.
And its relevance may have a large effect on how we view AI modeling going forward. It probably will. And that will have an effect on all American companies presently at the forefront of AI development.
But, in reality, this is but one step at the beginning of a very long journey and the bends in the road are still mostly unknown. We may have a general idea of the direction of the road but each bend in the way is largely unknown ahead of us.
DeepSeek is no more than one bend in the road and along the way of the journey.
