Yes please. I was born in the internet era and envy those that that grew up without internet. It may be easier to find information and connect with friends but I would give that up to rid myself of internet addiction.
Thank the Lord I lived through the wonderful music of 70,s 80,s and 90,s when we had classic tunes like this, for me pop music died in the millennium onwards.
3:23 Got bad for me about 2005. Britney & Avril started the downhill of good tunes. Just turned 60 and I only listen to classic hits stations(like WLS FM Chicago over the internet, we have about 3 around here) with stuff like this...82' senior year of high school..good times.
Martin and his spins and drunken shhh and point.. its clasic. Also love his anger later in the song when he swings his microphone over his head. Its classic, stephen sheepishly smiling at the end also
ABC were a perfect mix of Roxy Music, Bowie, Disco, Soul and with Trevor Horns production they made an immortal album, The Lexicon of Love. The follow up Beauty Stab is great too.
I want to thank Martin Rogers for his continued support and love. I Really appreciate it xx 😘 💕 sorry for sounding vague. They got to my fridge. I wasn't trying to be vague. Thank you for your call. It helped getting my stolen goods back ❤
Horribly unhappy, I expect no likes but also I would expect no haters, if you are human at all. My husband died and in my grief I listened to this, love to you all, this is an amazing version!! ❤
Superb, and a great representation of those times. Still my favourite video of them. And Europe's 'TOP POP' echoing our own 'Top of the Pops'. God I miss that sweetness
Yamaha DX7 was invented only at 1983 (November, if I got right info) while Poison Arrow released at 1982, and I can hear a sound which is like that famous FM bell e.piano layer. Does anyone know which synthesizers ABC may have been using at that time, maybe Yamaha CP-20, GS-1 or GS-2? (Apologies for my English, I'm not a native speaker)
I remember seeing this on TOTP back in the day and my dad commenting that the lead singer looked like he was ready to be shoved in the oven on gas mark 4. Haha.
Would have looked better if the band members had used actual cardboard instruments. My favorite bit is when the drummer can be seen picking up a dropped stick at 2:07.
Martin was a really talented singer, and this song still rocks, but c'mon..... apart from that outrageous suit those impossible, out of rythm dancemoves at the beginning are just.... what was he thinking??!
Seriously underrated song..should have been a no1...the very early 80s were just brilliant for songs like this...always love this song...❤❤
Classic.
yes I agree,❤,
Puro stile e talento
I wanna go back to the 80's so freaking bad
can we return back to the 80's
Asap
Yes. You can return back to the 80s. But with one caveat. You have to stay whatever age you are now when you do
Yeeesss please.. The best time ever 😍

Thats WAY better than the usual commercial
Shoot that poison arrow 💘!
Was the 80’s the last of talented voices and musicians ?
Being a backup musician in ABC looks very easy
Martin Frye the singer
Nice Video
Even better, the original video featuring Candy Davis, RIP
I remember seeing this on TOTP back in the day and my dad commenting that the lead singer looked like he was ready to be shoved in the oven on gas mark 4. Haha.
LOL. Martin Fry doesn't need the oven as hot as he was!!! Is gas mark 4 a British thing???
The most funny thing is that it's not TOTP, so I suppose you're lying.🤷♂️
@@TheChameleon703 the fact that his surname is Fry makes this even more hilarious 🤣

Vice city is the best
Me walking in to work on pay day
Is that Mark Lickey on the bass?
Six years later, I answer : " No. it's Mark LickLey on bass "

Sorry but no criticism of ABC will be tolerated. They were and still are awesome.

Does anyone know what kind of Microphone the lead singer is using. Abba used these mics too.
