24 Hours in Suchitoto 🇸🇻 Backpacking El Salvador Travel Vlog

- We have reached my final destination in El Salvador - Suchitoto. Well, hopefully not my last ever destination as I really hope to come back to El Salvador one day and explore more as I know there is so much mroe to do and see - 2 weeks hasn't been long enough!
In Suchitoto, we stayed in Posada Blanca Luna. We managed to get out on a little boat on the lake. We walked down to the Cascadas Los Tercios and just hung around the centre, exploring the cute colourful streets. I don't think we needed anymore time than 24 hours here!

FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these RUclips videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackingbananas.com/pr...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Never thought how beautiful El Salvador was. Thanks Christianne for showing us its beauty. Love from the 🇵🇭🇵🇭
Philippines?

As a Salvadoran; I can tell you we have more incredible secrets places and the best traditional food you will love it!
Honestly, these vlogs convinced me El Salvador is totally my vibe and now I wanna go! Thanks for sharing your adventures as always ❤
El Salvador 🇸🇻 is just lovely 🥰 and safe ❤
I am loving the El salvador series!! Heading there in about a week, and these have been so helpful and informative!!
Welcome
Loving your Salvadoran vlogs! Btw sobreviviente means survivor :)
That picturesque colonial town comes alive on the weekends with lots of street food. The museum is beautiful and a local gem.
thanks for that insight, Jovino :)
So fun to see you visiting Suchitoto. I lived there for a month one year ago and I absolutely loved it!
loving this series, you got to go back for us.
I am from Sweden but my dad is from a village near Suchitoto. Wish to visit it someday, seems lovely! :)
Do the swedes get angry at you for being of a foreign race?
I know they dislike a lot of the Muslim immigration
@@ultimasolucion6904 Im half swedish half latino, they don't get angry at me for my race. Only some dudes when i were younger were saying some mean things about my skin tone.
Never would have had this high on my list but you really showed how much there is to see!
The place where the waterfall usually is looks so cool! I'd love to see what it looks like when there is water
Raining season starts in May, and I believe it ends in November. I will plan to go during the rainy season to check out the waterfalls.
El Salvador looks beautiful this time of year. The Midwest is getting hammered with snow, and I miss the sun so much. Lol
You really needed a guide. You could've done museums, indigo tour in Suchitoto etc.
Welcome to Colorado! Hope you enjoy your time here. Thanks so much for the El Salvador videos! Love that place.
Hi Christianne, I watched your Central America series before I went on a five-country tour there in August, which included El Salvador. I'm pleased you went to this lovely country! I too visited Suchitoto. Such a wonderful little colonial town with such rich, and sometimes dark, history. Highly underrated country, I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did!
El Salvador looks amazing, seems like its worth a visit. Can't wait for the return vlog. Best wishes.
El Salvador 🇸🇻 love guys like you and we need more !
Such a lovely journey. Thank you for coming, please come back.
Thanks for sharing. We're going here in April, so it's nice to see some insights of what to expect. Can't wait to film these experiences and share it with the world on RUclips,
Glad you liked my country. ❤️

El Salvador was a very nice and scenic country for sure and it looks like a lot of fun! I'm sure you'll find the time for a return visit. Thanks for using the word alas! Lol I can't wait to see the snowboarding and mountains of Colorado!

Awesome video Christianne
Enjoyed all of your south america trip
Beatiful place
Just a small detail of people holding bags for you reminded me of my childhood! So happy to see the country a lot safer :)
first video i've seen of yours!!! i loved it!! it makes me want to make my videos a little more like this so thanks for the inspiration haha
I live in Glenwood Springs Colorado. Excited to see where you go to snowboard. 🌺🌼🌺
This was suggested a year later! Love that you explored El Salvador. I found it best to rent a car and drive to explore. Still haven't scratched the surface of all I want to explore but have done quite a bit.
Hey great video as always. By the way about the plane, he said that there was one survivor. Sobreviviente means survivor, overcoming life is how I like to remember it!
Christianne, Muchas gracias!El Salvador is really a very beautiful country. I am glad to see the national tree Maquilishuat. As my Salvador friend said his hometown isn't safe and he is always eager to leave, I feel so complicated about this country. No matter what, I still love Latin America. Love from HK❤
I used to go fishing there with my uncle I had good times great memories
so happy for new backpacking bananas content 🍌🍌🍌
i would love to see a video about how you stay healthy and fit during your travels! im thinking of doing some backpacking this fall 😊
Nice vlog thank you
Excelente como todos tus videos. Realmente lugares muy lindo y feliz que llames tu pais favorito de Centro-america. One note, sobrevientes means suvirvors, let'spractice that spanish hahaha hugs😇
Bonito video
I GET THE GOOSEBUMPS TO SEE THE TOWN WHERE I WAS BORN, THANKS.
Beautiful 😍 🤩 👌
El Salvador paradise land❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Superviviente = survivor. Three people in the plane. One survived 😊 I believe that’s what he said about the plane crash
Such a beautiful place!! 🤗
There is a lot to do. But you do need. Plan and a car for more easy access to things. Happy you had fun in the little time. And BTW sobreviviente means survivor.
❤
🖤
Loving your content! PS Sobreviviente = survivor ;)
On your next visit to El Salvador put on your check list Bahia de Jiquilisco, I own a beach property and it’s free for you to stay , lots of coconut and sea food
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed El Salvador. Suchitoto means "place of birds and flowers" in the Nahuat language... What is your nationality?
✌️
Mi. Sueño es vivir en El Salvador ❤ ❤
🥰
“Sobreviviente” one survived. 3 dead and 1 survived the plane crash. Also, Suchitoto is not an “activities” town, it’s an art colony historic colonial town, to go chill and decompress. Finally, Monday’s most things are closed.
Looks like basalt columns at the dry waterfall
HELLO FROM ISRAEL
no so sad the central south america trip is ending already :( did you ever get over to ecuador?
Are you going to release the Pakistan series anytime soon?
top
When are you going back?? 😊
I think "sopraviviente" actually means "survivor" haha so they didn't die on the air crash !
Lol, sobreviviente = survivor, so someone on that airplane crash did not die haha
The guy in the lake said 3 died and 1 survive on the airplane accident 🤘 and the Alejandro cotto museum , was an artist and a film director, when de died not too long ago his coffin was pulled by Carreta a Cart pull by Bulls around town and than i was berried in that museum that was his house
That was the Lempa River the most important river for El Salvador. Do you know how many rivers and waterfalls are in El Salvador 🇸🇻?
Lake Suchitlán, where you went to swim, is an artificial lake. And also very polluted, I would not (recommend to) swim in there. All of that used to be farmland at one point and there are archaeological sites submerged underneath. When you fly out of El Salvador heading east you will be able to see it on your right hand side from an airplane.
In the plane at LANE SUCHITOTO 3 PEOPLE DEAD AND ONE SURVIVED My uncle was one of the 3 dead a veteran of the war of 1969 pilot
Sobrevivente it's survivor, so probably one person survived not lived around🙂
Suchitoto is fun IF you appreciate colonial architecture, because that's pretty much the fun of going there, otherwise it's mostly about religion and good restaurants. Cascada Los Tercios and Lake Suchitoto are the main attractions.
Becky heading to Nicaragua! So cool does she have a public instagram?
🍌
12:45 Sobrevivir means survive:) so 3 died and 1 survived
I heard El Salvador is using Bitcoin instead of paper money is this true?
It depends on the business, it's their choice and not mandated so mostly you'll find Bitcoin acceptance in big international chains like Starbux or tourist areas like El Zonte or El Tunco
@@ultimasolucion6904 thanks, I’ve never heard of someone actually buying something with Bitcoin before so I thought this was interesting. Thanks again.
@@ultimasolucion6904 do the people actually buy stuff with Bitcoin though or not really?
We use bitcoin daily to buy anything as long as the owner of the business accept it. It's legal currently as USD.
