When the Joker escapes from Arkham and murders the parents of a young boy, Batman recalls the pain of losing his own parents as a child. He is pushed past his limits to the point where his focus becomes revenge on all who stand in his way, including many of Gotham's underworld. Finally, Batman is forced to look at the psychological profile of his own mind and accept the consequences of his life to find resolve.

I'm personally hoping for something along the lines of an HBO show with short building seasons and the budget to match. It's the best way to give justice to the character imo

@@soar643 its too soft of a network for a lot of shows.. I mean, arrow is considered their "dark" show. Batwoman/girl/whatever, should be dark and gritty and they expect CW to do her right? I think its gonna suck! The dc streaming service is where its at! I see soomuch potential for shows in the future
@@gvn598 i actually enjoyed Gotham for what it was. The villains were great for the most part, aside for Bane, which i didnt like. I enjoyed seeing him develope into Batman and it was cool actually seeing him be batman.. It may have been only 1 ep but atleast we got more than just seeing him in the cowl/mantle

This has Major Tim Burton Vibes with a Twist of Frank Miller Style Nostalgia but Very Unique in its Own Entirety
This is a true batman film, it has everything I could ask for in it a...from beat downs, mystery, a deep look into Batman's mind and way of thinking, as well as an accurate showing of what Batman has done to Gotham... it doesn't have a happy ending but it makes it so much more intriguing to watch. I hope another one of these will come out someday Aaron...

Amazing depiction of the duality between good and evil. Does evil need to be erraticated or subdued? Shows the human side of Bruce , crossing that threshold and realizing that if he steps across that threshold, what makes him different then the people he locks up ? Also shows the effects of childhood trauma on youths across the world. Batman is tormented by the past and still not able to heal from the wounds that trauma caused. Man isn’t that all of us ? Isn’t the world we live in a world of scars. Deep and powerful video !! Keep it up guys !!!
This is about the best Batman interpretations of all the live performances of the Dark Knight! The actors, that background, the acting, the angles were all superior to most or even all those Batman movies that we saw in the theaters! Warner Bros. should be using you and your actors to make their movies!

Never get tired of watching this. It gives me the same joy I used to get from watching Batman the Animated Series, but more grim and mature. It’s pretty much a perfect dose of concentrated Dark Knight.

I still remember this from 8 years ago, god i wish yall did these bat fan films again. Anyhow, it was a pleasant surprise for a hd version to bring joy to this day
A really great Batman yarn. It had all the style and pacing of a classic Detective Comic starring the Batman. Also the intense darkness and Noir aspects really stayed true to the characters. This guy plays a great Batman because I think he really understands the character from the source material. Batman is multi dimensional but he shows very little emotion. It’s a tricky balancing act for an actor to pull off. Great story. Grim and sad ending that actually leaves you thinking about it.
Bat in the Sun gave me some love!
As much as I liked Paul Molnar as joker Aaron Schoenke will always be my favorite and remain in my heart as the one true live joker

Aaron is the complete, 100% incarnation of Joker, the likes that cinema has never seen. I don't know why he wasn't involved, but he has become Joker and to not cast him has done a disservice to this incredible story you have told.
I imagine the reason that he didn’t play the Joker was because he was doing about every other job on this film! Go back and watch the credits! I swear Aaron did the work of 20 people!

Wow. I love Batman comics and I have been disappointed by so many motion pictures that failed to capture the feeing and point of Batman. The Schoenke brothers "get it" in a way that big name writers and producers never have. This was Batman the way it should be.

Kevin Porter is a natural talent for playing Batman, and you can see the passion the director respects for the source material who has the chops to do it right. When you think of the Alex Ross iteration, this is exactly who comes to mind. If you guys could tap into the funding of the likes of the Star Citizen crowd, I'd LOVE to see what you could do with a serious budget.

I bet you anything if this was released in theaters fans would still have something to bitch about. Too much Batman monologue Ledger was a better Joker or I didn't like the costume etc. This is why comments like better than this and that are null and void.
Reeves came close to matching this type of aesthetic, probably closer than any other Batman filmmaker and even then it doesn’t compare.
This is one of the best fan films I have seen. Awesome job
