Hello THE PRIMAL PACK I already slightly feed a mix of kibble/raw with veggies and fruit blended in. BUT I want to add more variety (on a BUDGET) I'm in Australia and some of these meats etc can be hard to find I'm also feeding 4 White Swiss Shepherds (Berger Blanc Suisse), (2 dogs are almost 1 year old, one is 2 years old and the other is almost 3 years old) they range in weight of 26kgs-42kgs. Can you help me with finding the CORRECT feeding proportions??? I would greatly appreciate it
@@hannahrichards2342 Try making a small barf diet and adding it to the food! blog.homesalive.ca/dog-blog/homemade-raw-dog-food Also, Try this source www.rawfeedingmiami.com/collections/monthly-specials they may not ship to you.. They have meat from local farmers so its cheaper then store bought..!
I’m right there with you! A product that really gives me peace if mind is “Dr. Jodie’s Natural Pets N-Trail Mix” it’s nothing but tiny chopped up pieces of organs, and it’s got basically everything! Liver, kidney, spleen, heart, gizzard, and brains, from lamb, grass fed beef, turkey and pork. I replace a bit of my liver and kidney with a few generous pinches of that mix. It’s $14 bucks on amazon and lasts a long time!
You are killing it, currently binge watching a lot of your stuff glad you’ve been making quality videos from the beginning 🙏🏽 keep killing it can’t wait to start my boy on this diet
Maybe u dont.. but i do. I dont eat any junk or fizzy drinks.. i never eat takeaways.. eat fresh home cooked food daily. Ppl laugh and say oh im boring i dont eat takeaway KFC or desserts.. but i care about what u put in my body and save money too
Is there a video on like where to start? I’m so intimidated 😩 everything seems to say something different. I need like a “feed this on day one” video lol
I prep everyday and maybe a day out cuz I have a small freezer and what I have is always changing! But I’ve managed to keep a good rotation of organs, muscle meats and work in a meat dpt! I get deals on old holiday turkey parts in the freezer! Which is great because it’s all local/natural/free range. It’s great since I prefer turkey over chicken when possible since it has better omega 3 vs 6 ratio than chicken.
i never thought the dog food i was buying my dogs was so bad, but after watching PET FOOLED the Documentary, it really open my eyes and now i am doing research on what and how to feed my dogs raw meat and your video came up, THAnk you so much, ur amazing, all your videos have been so helpful and i also am buying food from raw feeding miami now, this is so amazing! cant thank you enough for all the amazing videos !
Glad I found your videos. Don't have a dog yet. But I know I want to feed raw and don't want to walk into it blind. Thanks for the tips and tricks! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I found using grams instead of ounces made the portions so much more consistent! Though on a weighing scale its relatively consistent, but densities do vary sometimes
Just prepped for my pup almost exactly like you. Glad to know I am on the right path. I need to get some zinc.....but i feel better after watching this clip. Thanks!
There so many comments, I try to look though them to find if anyone ask u where u get the packed meats, parts & other stuff. I'm so glad to hv found ur video, u show me what I need to provide a balance diet. Thx u!
I had been considering going raw for SO LONG as a diet change had been recommended for my dogs persistent ear problems, but your video made me finally commit!! After your video I binged a bunch more an learned how to properly balance his diet as well as keeping it affordable and easy!! My puppy thanks you!! He has never been more excited for his food and and never had better cleaner poops and ears!! Thank you!!
Hey 👋🏾 thanks for referring me to this video. I have a couple more questions. I have two dogs that I’m trying to do this with. My Titan and emery. 1. For the organ meat do you half his daily allowance into the bowls if feeding twice a day? 2. Can you go more in depth about the extra stuff at the end of the video? Why do they need that? How to make the veggie purée, etc. Side note you should think about offering personal consultation/classes I would totally jump on that 😁😁😁 Thank you for taking the time and making these videos. Your awesome!!!
If you want to feed twice a day, yes you would split the whole day's work of food in 2! Some things I added were to balance the diet, some weren't. In this video I go over what to feed to balance the meal: ruclips.net/video/6yDyA0jh-sk/видео.html And aw thanks! I am actually working on getting my certification in canine nutrition so I can!
If you are learning to raw feed a puppy or very active dog, don't forget to add more fat to their diet. Growing puppies, depending on breed, need up to 20% fat, which is quite a lot, and very active dogs - sporting dogs, working dogs, etc, can require just as much fat as a puppy, depending on their activity levels. For example, my own dogs are working hunters (German Shorthaired Pointers) and they run up to 100km a day, so they require 20-30% fat when in full work. Once you get started, you'll find raw feeding is nowhere near as hard as you imagined. The best advice I can give you is to never stop learning. I've been raw feeding for 40+ years and I'm still scouring every thing I can on raw feeding to improve my dogs diets.
A certified nutritionist can help you with that! I am currently working on getting certified, but here is where you can get custom meal plans from 2 awesome nutritionists: www.rawpetsrule.com/services.html perfectlyrawsome.com/custom-raw-feeding-meal-plan/
I can see you portion out everything for a week. Wouldn't the food spoil by day in seven in fridge? Not afraid of food contamination? Then you have left over meat you bag up...you put it in the freezer? Thaw then freeze again?
We made some videos on that! For the bone broth/myoglobin: ruclips.net/video/fqgbOLoPnT0/видео.html And for the puree: ruclips.net/video/Lw0ryxyMluU/видео.html

wow this was so impressive. i buy my dogs raw food in tubs and it comes ground, with the entire animal - meat, bone and organs but i wish i could do this for him
I actually found a raw diet kibble! The brand name is nature’s variety instinct the raw brand and it’s a pure raw diet kibble with no extra ingredients! And they have it for dogs and cats! I'm always a bit confused about pork meat. A lot of people say it is dangerous to feed pork meat raw because of the "trichinella parasite". But you don't seem to cook it or be worried about it. Do you freeze it for an amount of time or just trust the source? (or maybe you just don't have this concern, who knows haha)
What do you do with the leftover meats? Put them in the fridge or freezer? There’s so much I wouldn’t want any of it to go bad in the fridge but you also can keep thawing and freezing again?
Any suggestions for small dog breeds?? I have a chihuahua and I wanted to switch him to a raw diet as I feel he would benefit from it as he’s suffering from allergies in his current dog food. Any tips welcomed thank you 🙏
Hello just found your channel! Don’t know if you’ll see this comment since you made this video a while back, but I wondered how you calculated how much to feed Matsu? What are the guidelines you follow there?
Omg this is perfect, thank you for taking the time to break this down for people like me!!! Hi, what size containers are you using in the video? Also where do you buy everything? Are you going to butcher shops or just your local grocery stores? I have a hard time finding the whole quail🥺
Hi! Thank you so much! I have everything listed in the description of this video: ruclips.net/video/Z-NPgxvPuJU/видео.html Do you have a local asian or international market? They often have quail!
Do you have any videos for large breeds? I have an Irish Wolfhound, and this looks intimidating for such a large dog. Currently I feed kibble and add raw on top for extra nutrients, but I would like to go all raw

Yeast free herbal flea and tick powder from earth animal, Raw Vitaboost from Kin and Kind (this is to aid in zinc requirements as it has wheatgrass in it, which is high in zinc), green lipped mussel powder from Super Snouts (I didn't have any fresh ones, the powdered is still good for getting some omega-3s and joint support), kelp (for iodine requirement)
I strive to portion by caloric intake, but for the sake of making a video for beginners, I don't want to overwhelm anyone. This is fine to do, but feeding from a caloric standpoint is always going to be more accurate!
I tried giving my dogs a bit of Kefir to mix their kelp and vitamins with and it gave my dogs terrible diarrhea! Definitely something my two don't seem to need any of
Thank you! You need to feed them at a higher percentage of their body weight. Here's an awesome and informative source: tinyurl.com/y5ec39b2 And I freeze them! The night before I put one container in the fridge to thaw for his meal the next day.
What about the bones in the fish? Isn’t it harmful for them? We are planning on switching to raw, I am just unsure about the fish bones. Thanks for the video!
Can you meal prep for more than one animal at the time and how do you avoid if your cat is allergic to something but your dog isn't do you get another fridge or just stop feeding it in general?
Like at what type of store would you be able to get any of these raw foods from ? I do not trust the grocery store when it comes to feeding my dog's food Because of the chemicals they put in them And process stuff
Question: Can I just get ground beef, lamb, rabbit, etc for the muscle meat? Grass-fed from a local butcher? I will still add everything else in their whole forms.
If you’re wondering how to balance your dog’s meal for prepping, check this video out: ruclips.net/video/lkjcMUHUb3Y/видео.html

wow this was so impressive. i buy my dogs raw food in tubs and it comes ground, with the entire animal - meat, bone and organs but i wish i could do this for him
That's great it's the entire animal ground! I wish I had that!
I actually found a raw diet kibble! The brand name is nature’s variety instinct the raw brand and it’s a pure raw diet kibble with no extra ingredients! And they have it for dogs and cats!
(Beef version) The ingredients for dogs are: beef, beef liver, pumpkin seeds, beef spleen, carrots, apples, butternut squash, ground flaxseed, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.
(Rabbit version)For cats the ingredients are: rabbit (including ground rabbit bone), pork, pork liver, pumpkin seeds, carrots, apples, butternut squash, rabbit liver, rabbit kidney, rabbit lung, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The price for a small bag is about 15 dollars and the price for a large bag is about 30 dollars. . ,
This was so helpful! I have a question though. Is it ok to thaw and then refreeze meat?
It is! After a few times it does degrade the nutrients a bit, but it's find to do a couple times as long as the meat is still good.
Generally no. When you freeze something it stops the existing bacteria to develop but you don't kill it.
Shure dogs are more resistant to bacteria but it's not optimal. And if your dog is sensitive in general it wont help if you wanna switch to raw diet.
Cut up all fresh meat and organs and everything and freeze it in portions and your done.
I can’t imagine what you must spend! Most people don’t eat this well!
can you please do a video on the frozen veg puree, myoglobin ?
I am not an expert but I’ve heard people who feed a raw diet say you have to cut off the quail’s legs because those bones can be dangerous. Could you please make a guide on which bones are ok? My dog is quite small and it terrifies me that I might give a bone that can harm her.
I'm always a bit confused about pork meat. A lot of people say it is dangerous to feed pork meat raw because of the "trichinella parasite". But you don't seem to cook it or be worried about it.
I feed my dog as a base muscle meat usually beef, and I found someone now who sells horse meat too.
But I would like a third type of meat to give a good variety. But the only other options I find around my location is pork and lamb.
(and lamb is a bit too expensive for my taste) But I'm wary of feeding pork....
Do you freeze it for an amount of time or just trust the source? (or maybe you just don't have this concern, who knows haha)
Hi. So I have a 50lb dog, and I am wondering how to figure out the powder, veggies, fruits and vitamin amounts. Could you help?
How many meals a day do you feed him? I have a 100 pound German shepherd and a 100 pound English Retriever. They both get 2 meals a day at the moment.
Matsu eats ~8.8-9oz a day and he often just eats all of that in one meal (dinner). He seems to prefer it. Totally fine to split it though.
can u show how to make the veg puree and the myoglobin?
You should do a video on veggie puree!
I did 😁 ruclips.net/video/Lw0ryxyMluU/видео.html
What do you do with the leftover meats? Put them in the fridge or freezer? There’s so much I wouldn’t want any of it to go bad in the fridge but you also can keep thawing and freezing again?
love all your videos. Sicne fish is it's own category what is this filling in the meal itself other then omegas 3?
What would you suspect is an estimated cost for all this prep?
hi my dog is allergic to chicken i was wondering what a good alternative to those things would be, like alternative to chicken neck, leg, breast exc.
Duck as far as those bone cuts! Only a bit larger than chicken.
Any suggestions for small dog breeds?? I have a chihuahua and I wanted to switch him to a raw diet as I feel he would benefit from it as he’s suffering from allergies in his current dog food. Any tips welcomed thank you 🙏

I already slightly feed a mix of kibble/raw with veggies and fruit blended in.
BUT I want to add more variety (on a BUDGET)
I'm in Australia and some of these meats etc can be hard to find
I'm also feeding 4 White Swiss Shepherds (Berger Blanc Suisse), (2 dogs are almost 1 year old, one is 2 years old and the other is almost 3 years old) they range in weight of 26kgs-42kgs.
Can you help me with finding the CORRECT feeding proportions???
I would greatly appreciate it
Could you give us a full list of foods and supplements you use please and thank you in advance
Where do you purchase your meet from? Does it matter?
I'm only adopting a dog soon. So total newbie. Does a dog only get one meal a day?? If not, what is he getting during other meal times?
Ahh.. so THIS is what dogs dream about.
Hi! Is it possible you can list all the items and brands that you added to the raw goat yogurt? Thank you in advance!!!!
Was it two different herbal flea and Tick powders?
Yeast free herbal flea and tick powder from earth animal, Raw Vitaboost from Kin and Kind (this is to aid in zinc requirements as it has wheatgrass in it, which is high in zinc), green lipped mussel powder from Super Snouts (I didn't have any fresh ones, the powdered is still good for getting some omega-3s and joint support), kelp (for iodine requirement)
Where do you buy stuff like rabbit kidney, quail, and pork liver?
holy shit ya dog ate the bird beak too?..im freked out but ty for this lol
Do you make your own veg puree, bone broth, and myoglobin or do you buy them premade and if so, which brand and from where?
Hey thanks!
What brands are kelp and vitamins? Please share thanks!
What are your thoughts on adding some kind of animal blood as a supplement, to help mimic the prey diet a little more closely?
What do use for freezer storage and do you reuse the containers/plastic bags?
Do you feed your raw fed animals one meal a day or twice a day?
what brand of containers do you use and where can I buy them?
Do you measure the caloric value of each meat when you’re preparing a bowl or are you strictly going by weight. Sorry if that was worded weirdly
I strive to portion by caloric intake, but for the sake of making a video for beginners, I don't want to overwhelm anyone. This is fine to do, but feeding from a caloric standpoint is always going to be more accurate!
