The Zulus engaging in long range siege warfare with firearms is an aspect of this war that's not really examined but this siege provides quite the example especially before the relief and final Zulu charge. Vague orders and lack of information is a worse enemy to any commander.

The Zulus almost always attacked in advancing lines, on which concentrated rifle fire was effective. Once the Gatling gun became more prevalent, it had an even greater effect on Zulu attacking formations, causing very heavy losses.

Another bad view of a British battle. To start with, get rid of the lousy computer generated voice that mispronounces names. Secondly, the British marched in column not in a solid block like the French. Thirdly, engineers were still British soldiers and would not march without their redcoats. In addition, a stone structure like the one depicted as an entrenched position would take months to build. Just horrible.
