I can't believe I finally found you again! I randomly watched this video nearly a year ago but didn't subscribe (rectified now). Now I've got a trip around America on a Harley Davidson booked and I want to record it for my dad to watch back home (UK) so I've been trying to sort out the set up and get used to editing etc. Your videos stuck with me because the style is just such high quality. I've tried so many variants of "Australian biker with slick videography skills" and had no luck. Only for the RUclips algorithm gods to gift me with one of your videos in the suggested feed. Now to watch these all religiously and try to emulate as best I can.
Not only have I watched this video for how you set up your GoPro mount, but I’ve also watched this video about 5 more times just to look at the angles and graphics of your Premier Trophy MX helmet. Could you do a in depth review about this helmet please? Thanks for the video btw, very helpful.
Thank you so much - you saved my day my TRRS to TRS connection was not pushed hard enough....so I had no sound, but after watching you post I got it working right away!!!
I wear glasses and I have only one full face helmet. I have always wanted to try retro mx helmet with goggles. Do you wear those glasses under the goggles? What goggles are those gold ones? Thanks!
Ok, I have to take time to say thanks for those videos. A lot of good info about all those subjects concerning motovlogging. I was thinking about trying the adventure too, many months ago, but never made the move. Bought a new bike few weeks ago and found your channel, and I need to say that makes me decide to do it. Even if I have some experience on related things, your channel will be a good help in many others. Thanks man. 👍 Ride safe! ✌️
@@MotoFeelz - gave it a whirl today, huge improvement. Maybe need to refine a little but I’m very happy with the initial result. Glad I found your video!
It’s more than likely been said, but I’ll say it anyway 😁 You can remove your GoPro mount that was stuck on , by heating it up with a hair dryer and it’ll peel off easily 👍🏼 Love that mx helmet 👌
Man mine cracked after a year of using it and that was because I strapped it too tight. Bit of Gaff tape held it together fine, but a solid effort for $20. Bought another instantly
You can slide the housing across a little and hit the shutter button, can be a lil difficult depending on the size gloves you wear. And no it doesn't interfere with the Freewell ND Filters
no crack on our audio with the panda. Work on your placement ;) loving the vid been asked a bunch of times to do this type of vid. Love the enthusiasm very PMkinnon
Hey bro, in the beginning of this video what did you have your pro tune settings at for your night recording or do you keep it the same just take off the ND16? I ride to work at around 5pm so there is a ton of light so ive got the ND16 but i go home around 4am and its dark AF lol today will be my very first time recording on my bike so im stoked!
@@MotoFeelz literally just got home from the ride, lol ill get back to you and DM you on IG but lets just say them day time stills got them Low Side Feelz
Thanks Legend! At the beginning you mention the Go Pro 8 and how it doesn't need a mic. inut. Does that mean that all the mic. setup us included in the device? And no need for the Purple mic setup? Thanks in advance.
You'll still need and external Mic, so you will still need the Purple Panda. If you get the Hero 8 Media Mod attachment, that has the 3.5mm jack input for your PP Mic. This means you won't need an external mic adaptor or housing like you would if you had the Hero 7 and below. The media mod also comes with a higher quality external mic
My question is how do you get such a clean audio using an open face BMX helmet. I used a full close helmet with the purple panda mic and the hero 7, all I hear on the recording is wind noise, I was thinking I would need to buy a $500 helmet that is more sealed, but if when I saw you with an open face helmet, it must be something else. So frustrated I still can’t get nice clean audio with a similar setup to what you described here.
thanks for the detailed video! and for showing all the awesome helmets! I am rocking the biltwell lane splitter myself with the chrome shield. keep up the sick content mate
Absolute pleasure bro! I think I need to ditch the goggles and get a shield for it to spice things up. Have always dug the look of them through, so badass. Will do 🙏👊
Just got myself a GoPro 8 Black. I'm so disappointed with the wind noise on it. Got it mounted on a chest mount (extra cool looking points!) and the wind noise, even with the wind suppression setting turned on in camera is terrible!. I've also got a Session 5 mounted on the bars, in direct wind and it does a much better job of audio.
Oh man sorry to hear. If you wanna do the motovlog thing then i highly suggest getting the Purple Panda mic. If you get the media mod then you can just plug the external mic straight into it. Wind noise can be pretty hectic though
Why do all the Motovlogers insist on putting the GoPro (and now with Hero 9/10 a bulky mic adapter) on the chin of the helmet? The helmet looks ridiculous. So, I beg to differ. I understand that everyone wants the handlebar clutter and a bug-ridden windshield in the picture. But I do not. How about having the GoPro out front of the windshield? That is what I've just completed a video on. The helmet has only the communications unit (Cardo/Sena) and a few other items: 1. a second mic, 2. a combination cable, 3. stereo separation cable, 4 a tiny wireless transmitter. The GoPro has the tiny receiver, bulky mic adapter and of course the GoPro. This allows the Group's conversations, your voice, optional FM radio, optional music from your smart phone, answer phone calls, phone conversations, and ambient sounds / engine to all be sent to the receiver on the GoPro. Please check out my new uploaded video on how all this is simply accomplished with the helmet remaining clutter free. I dog them man! Ride 100% RSD
Hey do you use any filters in post-production for audio or just straight out of GoPro?
I just throw a 20 band EQ on it in premier
Nice vid pal, gonna give the mic behind the cheek piece a whirl in my moto 3 as having a mare trying to get good audio.
Yea man works a treat!

James Smithers haha broooo - I’m pinning ya comment haha. Stoked you’re frothing on the feelz ❤️🤙
Have you tried pairing a camera with Scala Packtalk or with other such devices for Vloging.
Do you have any modular helmet to record videos?
Could you make a video of this setup?
Best regards to Brazil
I’m sure it’s been asked before. Would you share with us more info on the Mx helmet and goggles you use for your setup?
How's the chin mount adapter thing on the MX helmet still holding up? Seen some crappy reviews of it, the straps/plastic snapping off etc.
Man mine cracked after a year of using it and that was because I strapped it too tight. Bit of Gaff tape held it together fine, but a solid effort for $20. Bought another instantly
@@MotoFeelz a years use for $20, not bad at all!
Does the chin curtain interfere with the strap?
thank you to upload these kind of videos. just subbed :)
Pleasure man! And thank you 🙏🙏
With your MX setup with the mic adapter holder up top, how do you access the shutter button, start filming etc?
Follow up question: does the mic adapter housing interfere with installing ND Filters?
You can slide the housing across a little and hit the shutter button, can be a lil difficult depending on the size gloves you wear. And no it doesn't interfere with the Freewell ND Filters
