No way I'm carrying all that crap around all day. Hammer, pry bar, tape measure, speed square. Everything else stays in a bag or box and I grab if I need it.
Yep I laugh at people who use big heavy bags like this .. 25 years of remodeling and never carried all that weight ...trays on my ladders to hold stuff..😂 That being said I also don't spend the whole day way up on a ladder or top of a roof ....😂😂😂 And I could see in those cases why it would come in handy ...😂😂
I have a occidental leather clip on pouch and a pair of carharts with a belt loop, Pouch holds fasteners, day specific, and my speed square. Pants hold hammer, 25' fatmax, razor, and pencil. Almost all you really need. Anything else go and grab it and keep it on you when you need it. Dont wear your self down.
Thank you for having the common sense to not chuck your laser on the ground I don’t even like when ppl toss the levels around too heavy handed. Just not worth it, your tools r your friends treat em nice🙏
In Ireland we dont wear toolbelts. We have big pockets on work trousers that hold your tape pencil hammer and knife. Thats all you need. Belts are too bulky and get in the way. We just leave our tools beside us.
@@calvinhedges2909 concrete block for exterior and some interior frame is very common, not to say that timber isn’t used at all but that the bulk framing is much less timber intensive, than U.S.
Chisel is blunt after throwing it in the dirt and the paint of that fancy overpriced hammer is chipped . Or the furniture bolt holding it together has bent 😂
does the tape holder ever annoy you with a 30 footer? also do the bottom pouches seem like they’re a bit too low at times? i’m a finish carpenter so i’m thinking about getting the trimmer bags so i’m not bending over to reach those last few fasteners in the outer pouches but don’t wanna sacrifice the tape/chalk pouches
also great content, just recently came across your channel and enjoy your playlist episodes,, keep up the good work. love from wisconsin to a coffman from a cauffman;)
If ya can't drop your tools even on purpose then why do you carry them because I can tell you that personally I drop my tape on accident all the time but it survives last week I drop my dewalt xp ( which is basically a fatmax) off a 20 foot roof and barely a scratch on the thing
Maybe cause it made out of steel and titanium. If it can’t handle being dropped on dirt it doesn’t belong on a job site being hit with a hammer and falling off ladders and shit.
I wish you sucess, i wore a tool belt just like that for 5 years, then i reevaluate my life, im not going to work in a trade just because im passionate about it, its a waste of time, I started my own busiess and made my first million in one year, i never had a million dollars working 5 years in the carpentry
Who totes a chisel on the same side as their hammer and all u need to frame is hammer holder four tier leather bag tape chalk box hammer and a knife maybe cats paw
I carry only what im using. A laser in your belt? Just keep a tool bag/box/bucket, Anything! Doesnt matter how great you feel today, a bad back is almost part of the job so minimize it for fck sakes! Take care of the back and knees boys!
The only thing that i am asking myself why are you carrying that is the saw (sord) as you called it but tbh there has definitely been some days that i wish i was carrying a saw in my bags but you mjst be the boss or close to it because no regular guy is carrying that mich to get paid the same amount to walk over to their truck or a jobsite box to grab a hand saw if its needed but at the point of walking to gwg something in most cases you could just use a sawzall so i guess it would be last resort im to lazy the climb back down this wall kind of ordeal
@oskarks1211 I get that, but ALL name brand? I mean I think for a cats paw something like Empire fucking made in Taiwan is perfect for stuff like taking apart concrete forms because your gonna beat the shit out of that type of tool. If you got the funds go for quality but we're all in different spots.
Smart enough not to drop the laser 😅
When your bags weigh more than you.
No way I'm carrying all that crap around all day. Hammer, pry bar, tape measure, speed square. Everything else stays in a bag or box and I grab if I need it.
Yeah... you're tool bag gets lighter as the years pass. He will one day get down to one side bag and hammer holder.

Exactly
obviously you guys have never been on a framing crew before
Not throwing the Bosch laser on the floor fo sho😊
A fucking sword!? It’s a war on construction boys and it’s always a close one..

Badger bags for the win👏👏👏👏👏
Keeping that laser in your bags is so ballsy😂😂😂
New guy with new stuff, crashes those bags into everything, spilling nails and tools as he goes. Keep it simple.
Love a good ole belt Walk through
Thank you for having the common sense to not chuck your laser on the ground I don’t even like when ppl toss the levels around too heavy handed. Just not worth it, your tools r your friends treat em nice🙏
Nice set up
I half expected him to slowly start floating as he was emptying his apron.
Why didn’t you toss the laser? Haha 😂
Notice how he didn't drop his dot laser
Bro has the whole tool store in his belt
Lol didn't toss that laser
I was waiting for it to be someone else’s toolbelt as they came back from lunch or something 😅
That’s a lot bro are you just framing? Or doing everything! Damn man nice set up
We do a lot more too, but mostly framing
Love the fact he didn’t through the laser😂
Me- fatmax antivibe framing hammer, Lufkin 25 ft tape, catsclaw, DeWalt mini chalkbox, square. Sheffield knife. Anything else is just extra weight.
It’s really smart to throw your tools in the dirt and then pick them up 😬
Can you lay out top plate walking backwards no joists
Are the rapid release velcro straps a worthwhile purchase ?
Thank you for not dropping the laser, but you're still missing a lot LOL

Come to the US and let’s race! I’d be curious to see the difference
In Ireland timber frame is also not the standard, so I’d imagine significantly different daily carry
@@redmondlyonswhat’s the standard?

You forgot to mention the Black Pudding, Can't be cutting off the circulation to the most useful Tool 😜🇮🇪
Dude gunna blow away in the wind. Get that weight back in them bags asap :)
Where do you put your hammer tacker
Chisel is blunt after throwing it in the dirt and the paint of that fancy overpriced hammer is chipped . Or the furniture bolt holding it together has bent 😂
What brand is your tool bags
What do you use the channel locks and folding saw? Does the Badger have a good spot to keep nail gun nail clips?
Channel locks work great as a wrench in a pinch and to clear jams, and yes the badgers main left pocket is great for sticks
I could not name one brand of tool in my bags other than my speed square and tape measure.

Why is the speedsquare slot directly under a pouch? Seems like poor design, occidental had it right. No?
Fasteners go where ?
Mustage forgot to mention.
Why does everyone who does this drop all their crap on the ground? That’s insane
Cuz we’re gangsters 😎
What do you use the laser for mostly?
Plumbing walls
When i saw that laser i prayed to god he didnt just chuck it like the other fancy tools he has.
Not sure why you held the laser 😉
Hi I'm Jarrod and I have 4 slipped discs
Uhhh the laser made him rethink his life
You don't need all that shit to frame bro!! Lmao
How do you like the suspenders for the bags? I am considering getting them
do it man if you havent already your hips and back will thank you
Some say he's still on a site somewhere picking up the things he threw on the ground
You didn’t drop the laser! 👍
Forgot Marlboro red 100s
I aint never packed a laser in 20yrs 😅
Surprised you don’t keep your lunch in there too 😂
I drop all my tools all the time and they’re fine, but watching you deliberately throw your gear on the ground bums me out.
Don’t worry they’re all safe and sound now
Lol they are made to be durable

He forgot all the dirt and sawdust bags accumulate over time
Back in the day people used to respect the tools they used. These days they chuck em on the ground like garbage.
Notice he didn't chuck the laser
Just say ur broke
Don’t buy shit if it can’t handle 3 ft of fall
Your tools get used?
Maybe cause it made out of steel and titanium. If it can’t handle being dropped on dirt it doesn’t belong on a job site being hit with a hammer and falling off ladders and shit.
Half that stuff you don't need leave it back at the truck.
Great! Now pick everything back up.
Throw the laser!!!

Throw the laser , do it
No way that dude frames. Those arms are not swinging that big ass hammer.tape hammer square pencil pigs foot and nails. That’s it.
So whats ur point of this of throwing your tools you make a living with
I got a tape ,knife, pica pencil, couple nail punches an some nail pullers .An the same 20 oz plumb permabond hammer since 1992 .
I broke plumb hammers left and right framing when I was 18,19,20 then got a m1 Martinez which is the best hammer I’ve used.
Left out the mullet. The Tennessee waterfall.
Who totes a chisel on the same side as their hammer and all u need to frame is hammer holder four tier leather bag tape chalk box hammer and a knife maybe cats paw
Stanley fatmax the best tape

Swanson Speedlite Level Square for the win 🙂
Drop the Laser
Why does a Forman need all that
I hate walking to the truck or waiting on anyone to walk to the truck for me, I use almost every tool every day!
Little heavy after a bit.
I downsize every few months but why up collecting more tools over time 😂
Pick that shit up boy
