"The Evil Dead" NOT "The Exorcist" ! 🤦♀️ Sorry! ✌️
the real evil dead part one ;)
XD jepp :D btw thank you for all your reactions - its always enjoyable. Greetings from germany!
I came here to write that 😅 Also - did you consider making reaction videos to movies? I would totally watch some horror movies with you and your awesome facial expressions haha 😀
Subconsciously or not, you may have gotten the movie wrong, but you did see the HP Lovecraft reference in the necronomicon.
Closer.... Evil Dead 2
Always happy to see Mushroomhead pop up in reactions. They have such a unique sound, love em.
I didn’t think mushroomhead would show up. This is awesome
Mushroomhead was overlooked but amazing. This video is based on Evil Dead. Also... The Heresy by Mushroomhead is AWESOME
It was Evil Dead tribute. That was awesome! Great job!
A few other great tracks from them are 12 hundred(very driving track) , Sun Doesn't Rise (a Mushroomhead classic), and Crazy (A cover of Seals track, so if you [somehow] haven't heard the original you should definitely check it out first.)
Great reaction as always!
The crazy cover is amazing 💯💯
Yeah, mushroomhead is a trip! Would recommend "the heresy" and "qwerty" as a follow-up to this. Awesome videos too
It’s based on the Evil Dead. Jeff was the punch singer you talked about. He’s no longer in the band, has a project called Hatrix . Jackie LaPonza was the female singer, has Jackie and Unsaid Fate as her other bands. Waylon who was the mid singer you didn’t see because he quit before this video released. Also has a new band called A Killer’s Confession. And the last singer you saw was J Mann.
If you do another Mushroomhead video, I'd recommend reacting to their older stuff. Maybe 12 Hundred, Simple Survival, or even something older like Solitaire Unraveling.
I'm with you
I wish more people's exposure to this band was solitare unraveling
@@karl_alan Solitaire Unraveling, Bwomp, and Ego Trip! Seems reactors avoid amazing songs with no music videos though. It's depressing.
Higher/Punchy/Clean vocals was Jeffrey Nothing. He was the consistent singer for a long time and left in last couple years. Deep (unclean) vocals was JMann. He left the band for awhile to be with his dad that was dying of cancer. He was replaced by Waylon Reevis. Waylon, in my opinion, had the best range out of the singers Mushroomhead. He could almost hit the same higher pitch that Jeffrey Nothing could do, but also come close to that deep growl that JMann would do. He left in 2016 and is in the band A Killer's Confession now as the only singer. They have a bunch of great songs. Jackie La Ponza is the drummer's gf/wife, forgot exactly, and now singer. She was in the band Unsaid Faith and has great vocals too. In the video, they show the newer guy that replaced Jeffrey Nothing/Waylon Reevis.
For Mushroomhead: Solitaire Unraveling, Bwomp, Sun Doesn't Rise, Simple Survival, Save Us, For Your Pleasure, Qwerty are all great.
For A Killer's Confession: When I'm Not Around, Numb, A Better Time are great.
This is honestly the most fun I've ever had watching someone else react to something.
I crown you queen of the internet. Congratulations, you have won life.
If you liked this....I have some other unexpected journeys for you to hear.
Mushroomhead is AWESOME !!!!!!
Video is actually referencing movie Evil Dead 1981 version with Bruce Campbell (Great Movie) and the book at the beginning symbolises "Necronomicon".
These costumes are Hollywood's wet dream!!!! 🤘😎🤘.
Do have a look at The Heresy by them.
Thank you for this, these guys have never gotten enough love, please do some more!!!!!!
"We got the users over there we got the whores right here" must be a reference to their masterpiece "Bwomp" in which they state "we have to separate the users, from the whoooores~". Bwomp was out on their Superbuick album in 1996 and this is from 2014 so wow, a reference to 18 years in the past, awesome.
Mushroomhead is such a awesome trip! I would suggest Sun Doesn't Rise, Qwerty, and The Heresy!
mushroomhead- solitaire unraveling is another great song.
Mushroomhead??? Now that's something nice. I recommend solitaire unraveling one of my all time favorite songs. The music video version of it is a lot shorter then the album version as well 🙏
This music video is a tribute to the Evil Dead movies, namely 1 and 2.
Mushroomhead is an amazing rabbit hole.
Seen it All, has their new singer, this band has gone thru a revolving doors of 3 singers. Waylon Reavis(2004-2015), Jeffrey "Nothing" Hatrix(1993-2018), Jason "J Mann" Popson(who never wears a mask, just make up,(1993-2004, 2013-present; on hiatus since 2022)), Steve Rauckhorst(new singer,(2018-present)), Jackie LaPonza(2020-2021; touring member 2014-2020; guest 2022). Check out Waylon Reavis band(A Killer's Confession), and Jeffrey Hatrix band under his Jeffrey Nothing moniker.
Gotta say, this is a fantastic swede for Evil Dead.
Mushroomhead are kind of proto-Slipknot. Pioneers of the style.
They have an original sound which is cool, Their stage costumes are great as well.
The Sun Doesnt Rise and Qwerty are must listens for this band
These guys were ahead of their time long before this album and video... Their live performances were/are amazing... Jeffrey Nothing is a talented genius... Superbuick and M3 are must have classic albums, 100% self produced.
The movie is Evil Dead👍👍👍
I just noticed that they bring up Users and Whores, in the song BWOMP they say "The old ways aren't working anymore, Lets separate the Users from the Whores" before J Mann does his rap part.
The best mushroomhead song is these filthy hands. Give it a shot.
Thank you very much for your reaction, it's great) and for fulfilling my dream on your channel, I've been waiting for this release for a long time))😌
The guy with the wire that goes over his head is stitch and he has probably the coolest looking mask of all masked bands haha
Mushroomhead + Evil Dead 😃😃😃 Love it! 😃😃😃
One of their percussionists Stitch works (or worked) in Haunted House in Cleveland that probably explains all the make up and stuff.
I think that this is one of their best works in years, but u should listen something from their first albums, 12 Hundred by example or solitaire unraveling.
I love how they use Evil Dead _ if you seen the remake _ everybody live your best life
"That Exorcist Cabin" Oh dear, oh dear!
I really like Mushroomhead. As far as the costumes and masks, just part of the presentation. As far as the music goes the band has some interesting songs. The thing that I like the most about them is their use of keyboards and piano. Most bands don't know how to add keys with heavier music. Mushroomhead and Faith No More do it best. And having 3 vocalists all good add another dynamic. Really like Jeff's voice.
our Apology, Carry On, The Heresy, Out of my Mind.... all excellent Mushroomhead songs you should check out/ react to. Great vid :)
Their song “ The heresy” is really good think you will enjoy it.
Evil dead is the movie you're thinking of.
This song actually had 4 singers. Jackie, Jeff Jay, and Waylon.
“The Evil Dead” is the movie
Shock factor aside, Mushroom head has always been a crazy talented band. Live they are 10/10
You gotta do a reaction to justin doing his one take vocal performance of his band Tallah - Overconfidence. the vocal techniques are insane!
This definitely Evil Dead vibes and I think it would be on the soundtrack of the newer version of Evil Dead movie.
Mushroomhead - The Heresy
TBH. I'm glad that you decided to react to this. It's been so long since I've heard this. And it's been so long that I've heard this music. I'm glad. Thank you. It brought back so many memories.
Love that you showed them some love!
Next do their song Qwerty
If you grew up in the 80s and the 90s you would recognize the cabin and the book as the necker noma khan, from The Evil Dead. You should watch the movies they are great and funny as well.
Favorite movie ever made, with a top 5 favorite band, seriously best music video ever made
Definitely a mixture of the exorcist and evil dead for me. This a new song for mushroomhead I haven't heard before so thank you for reacting to this. I would recommend either "Sun Doesn't Rise" and "Mother Machine Gun" next!!!
i love this song and video so much. Jeff Hatrix (the singer with that "punchy" and vibrato-heavy voice), to me, was the whole reason i loved Mushroomhead. right up until he parted ways with the band. i haven't kept up with them since, tbh. but yeah, this song kicks ass. the first song i heard by them years ago was Solitaire Unraveling, and until this one, that stayed my favorite. this one just takes the cake, though.
More Mushroomhead! Out of my mind, The Heresy, Qwerty, Eternal, 12 hundred, Simple survival, or You're soul mine.
Mushroomhead could have been as big as Slipknot... they certainly had the songs. But they always seemed to shortchange the fans by playing short sets and not putting in the touring workload... The masks are definitely creepy, and they all have the crossed eyes.
This music video is a throwback to the original 'The Evil Dead' horror film... the gory demonic possession movie that was filmed in 1979 w/ a low budget of less than half million $$$ and became an iconic movie in the horror genre in the early 80's.
Mushroomhead were formed in the 90's in Cleveland, Ohio and the masked crew had several indie records before they were signed and given worldwide distribution in 2001 after Slipknot broke big... Steve 'Skinny' Felton (drums) is the only original member left today...their line-up in the 2000's was the most well-known - J. Mann & Jeffrey Nothing (vocals), Pig Benis (bass), St1tch (DJ/ samples), Bronson & Gravy (guitars), Schmotz (keyboards)... Bronson & J. Mann (Jason Popson) left and Waylon Revis (vocals) joined in 2006...but more members left by 2010... at some point, vocalist J. Mann rejoined Mushroomhead and they had 3 vocalists for a bit... Waylon and Jeffrey Nothing both quit... Ms. Jackie (Jackie LaPonza) joined in 2020 as a female vocalist.
Some more Mushroomhead songs - "Sun doesn't rise"... "QWERTY" ... '12 hundred' ... 'Simple survival' ... 'Kill tomorrow'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
Cabin in wood's, download mushroomhead and experience the music, they have been together since 93, skinny and jeans are the only original members
Better react to them more often now !!!
Underrated band with artistic melody and haunting imagery with "POLITIKZ" lyrics
More Mushroomhead please
They are making a movie that originated here in Michigan but you think I'm not telling the truth. The book was supposed to be the Necronomicon but you'll never have time to look into it. Remember Necromancy was a healer that brought the ones back to life. Either way you go Dr. and Nurses have been practicing this for years. And prescribing you drugs to make a slight difference to make you believe your living longer.
Solitaire Unraveling is a must
I LOVE this song and video!! I also absolutely loved your reaction. ❤
The Heresy next
Also I love Larkin Poe!
Pls, Mushroomhead - Out of my mind
This is from Mushroomhead's last album to feature Jeffrey Nothing (AKA Jeffrey/ Jeffrey X) and Waylon Reavis, as they both departed the band shortly after the tour. I believe this was the last music vid to feature Jeffrey, and Waylon was not featured on this video as he had already departed the band. So, technically, there are FOUR singers on this song, but only three are featured in the video. Jason "Jman" Popson had just returned to the band after tending to his dying father for a few years, and the female singer is is another band member's wife: Jackie LaPonza. The lineup is a bit of a revolving door the past few years. The band is a bit notorious for swapping out members every album.
this version of the song is actually different from the album version, this is the original and the album version was after they rerecorded the song
QWERTY!!!!!
Ok time to listen to Quarty
Four vocalists on this track Jeff Waylon Jason and Jackie
More Mushroomhead please!!
I hope you do more mushroomhead and more motionless in white!
Video and song is top shelf
Очень приятное видео, mushroom head - the best, good luck fo yours Chanel, from russia with love.
The movie "Evil dead" in music
Gotta do some of their older stuff that's more their sound now! I'm thinking 43 or the full version of Solitaire Unraveling 🤘🏻
It’s an homage to the movie The Evil Dead.
Love to hear you listen to AVATAR one day! Bloody Angel!
Vocalist Johannes Eckerström explains the song: “Bloody Angel is about shame and guilt. You look around and watch all the suffering and while searching for someone or something to blame, you end up in front of the mirror. Everything you touch, you break. Everyone you try to save you hurt and push further away. It is a sad reality of being alive, the fact that the closer you get, the more pain you risk inflicting. You try to stay in the light, spread your wings and aim for the sun. But your eyes and hands are covered in blood and you hit the ground, dragging everything that matters with you. The riff is pretty cool too.”
Also, Hail the Apocalypse🤘 first one I heard by them around 2016
I recommend reacting to carry”on” by this band, its a different lead singer but it’s still good, the new lead singer has a really good voice!
always love your videos ❤❤ hope i can talk to you in any way
If you want an emotional Mushroomhead song, then do QWERTY. It's about having a bad day
I see Mushroomhead, I give a like.
Saying mushroom head is catchy sounds so lame, but damnit mushroom head is catchy!!! Love this band!
Watch "Carry On" from their new album. It'll be right up your ally if you like this.
Quite literally none of these vocalists are playing with the band anymore or in case of J Mann he has been on hiatus from the band for the past 10 months or so
Skinny is unbearable and the reason for most of them leaving.
Check out the Heresy by these guys
Carry On is best
you need to check out there song "sun doesn't rise"
You really have to check out Silent Cries by Fates Warning
You should be glad you picked a mellow Mushroomhead song... Lol
In this they had 4 vocalists.. they switch off on vocals a lot.. it's impossible to predict what any Mushroomhead song is going to be like
Mushroomhead just released a new video called "Fall in line" you should check it out.
Welcome to mushroomhead enjoy the ride it it kind of gets a little sporadical with some of their songs through the years cuz most of the band members have exited the band and then certain members have stayed through the years so it's a mixed bag for their sound changing through the years but I enjoy mushroom head for what it is The new lead singer that replaces Jeffrey nothing from the original lead singer of mushroomhead He's a good replacement for Jeffrey nothing cuz I love Jeffrey nothing's super high voice from the original mushroom headband❤
good song to do would be, Top Dead Celebrity - "Ghost". and its ok you got that movie wrong, now people will comment more to say Evil dead
Oooh
Look at heresy and carry on
❤❤❤
Do Devils be Damned by Mushroomhead
New evil dead movie
Please do Kai Tangata!!!!!
Are you ready to react to "Daddy" from Korn?
Man that was nasty 🥴🤯, but in a good way……
Jeffrey Nothing now is Christian and left the band and many others , they always were the shadow of Slipknot, sadly boths bands couldn't exists at the same time, they make good music.
Looks more like Evil Dead..
