Anybody old as balls like me and been listening to this band for nearly 30 years?!?
Nope, I listened to them when XX came out, and I really enjoyed XIII, and this is the first time I've heard anything since then. Not as good to be honest.
Yea been waiting for them to come closer to home
yeah 24 years for me, when Xx came out in 2000. Went and got the back catalogue and have been following them ever since. Saw them live twice, once when they toured for XIII and again when they toured Righteous and the Butterfly (have that album signed by Stitch).
I'm in Philly so their first 3 albums weren't really known here in the 90s or I'd likely have discovered them earlier. Had to order all that stuff from their website after Xx came out. Despite member changes I've enjoyed all their albums.

(My cousin dated one of their relatives) We were all waiting to go out one night They were arguing about who is going to do the dishes finally one of my friends got up and did the dishes so we can go out and have fun.

Bringing Jackie onboard full time was such a great move. She adds an extra dimension that elevates them even further. A soft, yet unapologetic darkness.

I'm not a fan to be honest, she feels hella forced into the formula because of Skinny's need to control the whole thing. Nothing will beat the Jeffrey Nothing/J Mann combo of the early days, and fuck outta here with "bands gotta evolve" bullshit, plenty of bands have matured and evolved with so much less drama and in-fighting and roster swaps...
Too many band members have been sacrificed so she could be shoe-horned in by Skinny. It's only my opinion, but Mushroomhead became a revolving door of musicians once she was "introduced" in.

Mushroomhead went through some pretty cool iterations, Jeffrey, JMann, Waylon on vocals and now this. I'm really happy for them they still put some good music out there and keep going on.
The creapier Jackie looks the more i fell in love with her :D I really love the whole band, regardless of all the line-up changes. This is somehow part of them now and makes this band also more unique. You will never know what comes next and they surprise you everytime. Just great

The one in Norfolk, VA specifically? I can't help but think they wouldn't have played that particular venue lmao. The sound of this band is incredible, which imposes in certain parts something atmospheric without ceasing to have the weight of its own that it carries on the instruments. It took me too long to get to know this work better, I became a Fan only in this year 2024.
Having Jackie full time was the right move. She adds a lot to the band.

One of the best bands ever, and they are the greatest people. Saw them at The Chance (last show before they closed). They were outside hanging with everyone for over an hour. Pics, talking and just chilling. The whole band was great and Jackie made sure to give everyone a hug. Never experienced that before
Never been too much of a fan but I gotta say that adding female vocals really added some much needed colour to their sound, I like it!
Actually digging this. The loss of JMann is huge, but I'm going to be checking the new album out with cautious optimism.

Same. Not having Jmann in the mix is very rough. He had a very unique voice and brought something special to the band. Dont care for ventanas singer. But. Who knows, with how skinny deals with shit he'll probably be gone by the next album.
I liked A Wonderful Life. The mixture of Steve, Jmann and Jackie was great...but without Jmann...idk...well see how the rest plays out. I'm not getting my hopes up tho. I hope I'm wrong tho.

I just can't understand why J Mann left the band. It seems like Jackie is now in charge of the band. Since the righteous and butterfly we have seen many changes in the band. I hope you don't disappoint me with this new work.
@RICK_FROST95 from everything I've heard from people close to the band he left for 2 reasons. One is the enemy of us all, he's getting older. And two is for some health reasons, getting sober being one of them
They sound and look outstanding simply sensational.
Think this is one the most well put together songs this band has put out in a while. Love the heavy groove, keep this up

I've been a huge fan of the J Mann, Jeffrey Nothing and Waylon era of Mushroomhead for years but I have a feeling this new album will be incredible with Scott, Steve and Jackie's vocals, that beast of a drummer Aydin and of course the return of Gravy🤘🤘

This sounds SO FUCKING GOOD. Gravy coming back is what this band needed on guitars. Skinny’s influence in the production is still showing and in all the best ways. I love this tune! Good Job to Scott beck for killing his part also!

It was probably back around 2010-2011 one of my buddies was working security at a venue Mushroomhead was performing at and he knew I was a fan, so I got a phone call from Pig Bemis lol. I was able to see them at live at Hooligans in Jacksonville, NC, they put on an amazing live show.

Not really into the music, just doesn’t click with me however they did a phenomenal job with visuals. The color schemes and the costumes are incredibly well done. Oh and the angles and the edits all fit very well and frankly I’m a fan of just the visuals. I could watch it without the music and still be impressed.
This is the first Mushroomhead song in the last 10 years that I am digging the hell out of!

Mushroom Head has always been hit or miss for me, I always click on new videos. The visuals are always on point.
Mushroomhead is great, seen them live as a teen over a decade ago. Was a great experience, and the guys we're really cool.
Sad they have seen so many line up changes over the years, but glad to see them still putting out dope music.
If anyone knows or can enlighten me, im curious who all is the current line up and what they do currently in the band?
Scott Beck (know as X) is the vocalist you see in this video, he replaced Jmann. Jackie Laponza is the female vocalist, shes been around the last 2 albums and this will be her third. Dave Felton (aka Gravy) is back on guitar, he was around from Xx to Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children and is Skinnys brother, he returned to the band recently. Steve Rauckhorst is the other male vocalist, he replaced Jeffrey Nothing and appeared on the last album, he can be seen in this video as well (first guy sitting in the chair reaching for the phone) but doesnt perform on the song. Ryan Farrell (aka Dr. F) is on bass, hes been background help in the band since Savior Sorrow and became the bass player with Righteous and The butterfly. Steve Felton (aka Skinny) use to be the drummer, he has back issues and replaced himself with a younger guy named Aydin Kerr. Skinny plays water drums live but this will be the first album he doesnt play drums on. Robbie Godsey (aka Robert Diablo) has been around since Righteous and the Butterfly and also plays water drums live. When Skinnys back started going Diablo would play drums for half their live show to give skinny a break before Aydin was hired as the new full time drummer (Whos been in the band since 2022 I believe).. Joe Gaal (aka Jenkins) is the second guitar player and replaced Tanks from the last album, he is a producer along with Skinny on the new album as well.
@@synystervengeance3040 damn, that's crazy. Waylon and Jeffery were on vocals together when I saw them live, skinny on drums, and can't recall who the guitarist/drummer was then. And the keyboard guy that wore an army helmet with goggles (can't remember his name, it started with an S I believe.) but It was right after the release of Beautiful stories for ugly children, which is a great project. Thanks for sharing your knowledge homie.
Last question is, which of the 2 male vocals is which? There's one doing cleans (like Jeffery did) and one doing the Jmann/Waylon unclean vocals. (Not sure if I missed there being 2 male vocalists, or they have similar/the same mask and I am curious which is which.
@1ViivviiX1 Both current vocalists can scream and do cleans. On this song specifically Scott Beck is doing both the screaming and the singing. Steve is more the Jeffrey nothing role though, majority of his vocals are just clean but he's done some small screaming bits here and there.
In this video Beck is the one with the mask that has the movable mouth. Steve is the first guy in the video you see sitting in the chair and reaching for the phone.

@@Vb98765 yes, maybe thats what it is. J mann and Jeffery Nothing had quite distinct vocals, and reavis too. And stitch added some energy.

I've been listening to Mushroomhead since, around middle school, someone my brother went to high school with was wearing a shirt, and he came back telling me about it. I love this song. It adds new and old, and I love Jackie's part in the band. I'm glad more original members are back (dont remember their names) but i hope this group continues

I'm 37y.o. from Lansing, MI born and raised. I'm not sure when I started listening to them. But it had to be around 98-99 sometime. Anyways, I'm a Juggalo and see them every year in Thornville OH at The Gathering of the Juggalos. We rock hard as fuck with these guys and others like Raven Black & NECROGOBLIKON. Honestly, it's the only thing that makes it worth going to The Gathering these days.
