I like this so much really you took CS2 tunnel building to another new level. Actually in real world I've seen in China something very similar to this but this is the first time I've seen something like it in CS2
That said, constructive criticism, those decline/incline angles are too steep, especially for trains. 15:05 9.7°, 15:20 16.9° maybe something like Network Multitool slope alignment will come out for CS2 that will help fix this in post. Also 20:50 that other tunnel surround shape is very phallic looking. I put this in a reply instead of main comment so most won’t see this.
Thanks for the comments! We do come back in the next episode to help with that 9% slope and worked it down to 5%. Still too steep, probably, but about the best we could do to get under the water from the point on the island. As for the tunnel shape, completely unintentional and was modeled loosely after the Oresund Bridge tunnel. 😕 Appreciate the feedback!
@@CitySculptorthanks for the reply, yeah I caught that in episode 13 👍🏼. I know it’s a game and you can only do so much. I try to keep my train lines under 3° apparently irl it’s supposed to be 1.5° but could you image the map space required to achieve that tunnel. What you did is a great compromise between game limitations and realism. Keep up the content and I can see you being as big as CPP or Biffa in mere months.
OK. 3/4qtrs thru and all I can think, while you're doing the deco-time-lapse, is, "Is he just going to leave the train terminating at the bottom of the lake, river, ocean? Or is he gonna do some at grade crossing under water? What gives?" -- Yeah, this is what you did. You buried them alive. Very nice looking; but completely useless and not realistic as most trainlines do not terminate under water. The Crestwind (sp?) citizens might have a great view; but in their thoughts and minds (including mine) are all the peeps drowning just off and into the distance. That said, I really liked the tolls. They looked very cool. Nice use of in game props.
First time here, so don't know how much realism you look at in your builds, but 9% slope for trains is waaaaay to high. 5% is an extreme slope, optimal is 1-3%. For the rest of the vid, liked it. New sub 👍
Beautiful build. Stumbled across this just today. Definitely going through the whole series now. And like everyone else here, curious to know what you're gonna do with the railway tunnel 😅
Simply amazing. Reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Kudos for demonstrating what's possible with CS2 vanilla. This was top 3 for me. Can wait to see how you integrate the railway in this crossing.
Love the build and video overall but I must say the side with the already standing highway kinda looks like an .. with the intersection down below 🤣🤣 love it
Totally agree, you're my favourite city builder. Find your content amazing. And I try to build like you. You give me Inspiration. Keep up the good work 👏 👍
Such a cool build! My one piece of feedback is the rail line's gradient is rather steep and if possible it'd look rather neat for the rail to descend earlier than the highway to provide a more gentle slope into the tunnel.
Your channel is way to small... the entire Pangasas Bay project is simply beautiful... btw what happens to the underwater train tunnel? will the rails ever be connected to the other site?
When I read “channel” I immediately thought of the Pengasas Bay water passage, but you meant my RUclips channel! LOL! Thank you so much! Small now, but we seem to be growing at a good pace. 🙂 As for the train line, you’ll have to keep tuning in to see what I’ve got up my sleeve. 😉 Thanks again for the great comment!

one of the most amazing builds I've seen so far! i wonder though what happened to the train line. why there's no connection anymore to the north bound side?
looks nice, 1 comment and 1 question, those tol plaza's are they really or more inmaginairy? and did you forgot about the traintrack, looks like there is no space for it to come out ad the other side of the tunnel.?
Watched it when you first made it and returned 8 months later to get inspiration, its truly fantasist and even more so considering the tools that you were not able to access back then. your an artist and probably an Engineer in your day job, thanks for sharing.

Very inspiring video. I liked a lot of the detailing that you did. The only critique is how do you get to those watchtowers from the shore line? Maybe could add a path to one of them for ppl to get to work. I'm actually working on this map now and I have to agree I don't like the starting highway either. Thank you for the amazing video. 😊
This video was on my homepage and thought it looked interesting to watch so gave it a go and I was not disappointed at all. That has to be hands down one of the best looking tunnel projects I have seen in CS2😃. Your attention to detail definitely shows in this build. Absolutely beautiful dude. New subscriber gained👍🏻
You would probably only need the toll booth on one side, no? Regardless of direction traffic would still have to pass. Get yourself a refund on a booth!

First video I watched of this channel. I am definitely gonna continue watching. Suggestion: Maybe you could add some (position) lights for the bumpers in the water so that ships can see them at night.
Yeah, I wish there was an easy way to do that. I thought about using 1-lane freeways as the road surface and adding street lights to it. But, it didn't have the rugged, gravel look I was going for. Great suggestion, though!
15:50 you made a correction off-camera. The tunnel entrances were not egual. Suddenly they are. I would like to see how you corrected this. You also made the tollbooth on both sides, but on one side you have to pass the tollbooth just to get to the shops and pier area. The tollbooth should only be for passing through the tunnel. Simple correction, really, it took about 30-45 seconds. I deleted the roads, flattened the surface, and redrew them both from a 12m tunnel back up to ground level. Nothing too exciting.😉
I might've missed something but where does that train track go? It starts on one end but it doesn't seem like there is enough space in that median for it to continue on the other side
Wooow this came out great !! This gave me a great idea for this map because just like you, I didn’t like the placement of that bridge in the beginning of the game but you need it to get your money up 😂 but definitely going to change the location of that bridge 👍
**Spoiler Alert** The train line reemerges in Episode 17!
I was wondering why that had been left out, lol
Beautiful build. Everything is so considered. Can’t wait to see what’s planned for the railway.
My fear of trains underwater was confirmed by this build… train line to nowhere!
Still… great channel, glad to have found it. Subbed.
Haha! Welcome aboard to the train to nowhere. Maybe we should rename the channel that! 😄😉
So the rail line just ended, right? I didn't miss a spur off to somewhere else? My OCD kicked in a little bit. 😉
That’s what I was wondering. I wanted the train to pop up one the other side.
@@Toms-garden Have no fear! We snuck it into Episode 17. I'm hoping you'll like that solution. 😉

Beautiful as usual. Love how you did the toll stations.
i love your toll booth setup. It gives “bay bridge” and bay area (california) vibes and i like it
I found this channel yesterday and have binged this series. Easily my Top 5 channels for CS2. Keep doing what you are doing.
Hah! Glad to hear I cracked the "Top-5"! Love it. Appreciate the kind words! 🙂😉
the tool booth is so creative as everything else in the video!
Awesome build. Great content 👌

imagine (in real life) what a headache it would be if a ship accidentally anchored above that tunnel. It’s hard enough with pipes but a whole tunnel!!
Hopefully the channel master gives the captain an earful! 😄

really nice tunnel, with roadway and train tracks. I couldn't see where the train tracks came on the other side of the tunnel. maybe i'm wrong😊

Awfully tempting sometimes. Will be interesting to see if CO adds one to the base game somewhere down the road.

My apologies for the crudeness but, given the impressive length and girth of the southern(?) peninsula - will the road be named the Urethra Hwy?
Oh, my…😳
Wonderful, I wasn't sure if that could be done. I have one question though. Where did the rail come out from the tunnel? I think I missed that.
Thanks for the comment! That rail line should make its reappearance soon, I promise. 😉
27:20 you're vehicle doesn't have to slow down he says as the vehicles on the tool booth do, in fact, slow down ;)
Yeah, that conga line of Maintenance Vehicles grinds the traffic to a screeching halt. 😄
no lighthouse? 😀 and where did the railway go?
Yeah, it'd be nice if there was a lighthouse in the base game. As for the railway, you'll have to keep checking in. 😉
I absolutely love this but I have to say something about 21:25 that looks a little phallic. Sorry lol
🫣
What happened to your rail connection?
It's waiting in ambush. 😉
where the railway goes?
