I'm a Machine Learning engineer and have worked with generating three-dimensional spaces using AI, particularly Gaussian splatting, and topics related to GANs. To tackle a challenge like this, I have some approaches implementing artificial intelligence: First Approach: First, thinking that there could be an AI tool capable of taking the map created in Cities Skylines and importing it into a GTA V game is very ambitious. To my knowledge and experience, I've never seen anything like this yet, although I don't doubt that in 10 or 15 years it might be possible. So, the first challenge is to achieve this. To do this, we first need to know if it's possible to export a map from Cities Skylines; after a quick search, I've seen that it is possible through Modding Tools. So far, so good. Secondly, we would need to find out what generation and modeling engine Rockstar uses to create the GTA V map. After a quick search, I found that they use a proprietary engine called RAGE, which would be something similar to Unreal Engine but from Rockstar. So, we know that the major challenge would be to make the map format from Cities Skylines compatible to be integrated into RAGE (or Unreal Engine). Once this is achieved, we can think about playing GTA in the city we have created in Cities Skylines. And note, this is just the first challenge in a series of complex tasks. Up to this point, we would have the ability to spawn a character in an inert map; then we would need to incorporate and make everything else compatible, such as NPCs, physics, IA's, and all the game's logic in general. Second Approach: Another approach I've thought of is generating simulations from worlds created in Cities Skylines. Imagine recreating San Francisco or New York and adjusting the traffic and transit indices according to real-life data. From these simulations, we could try to solve traffic and transportation management problems. Could be interesting. Bonus Track: What do you think about having this amazing capability someday, combining these three video games and playing it in a room specially adapted for total immersion, where your body is semi-unconscious and connected with sensors while you wear virtual reality glasses, where your senses and consciousness only act in this immersive world? What if we are currently living inside a simulation? Crazy, huh? Just something to think about.
@Pancho96albo it does sound very ambitious but perhaps we're over thinking it. AI is a great tool to have and it will only get better, but there is something special about the human element to design and creativity. Something I've not yet seen from AI. I love the idea of AI being a part of the interactive element of NPCs and random generated quest/jobs etc... but in its current state, it's creating images that, although look amazing, are quite unrealistic. We've all seen those adds on FB with the AI generated images of beautiful women standing in front of a field, with a dozen of the exact same tractor behind her, or the helicopter with three tails in the sky above her, or she has three arms or legs 🤣. Creating something like this will also create jobs for people in the industry and a community of networking. So I am all for being a part of a team of creative and skilled professionals who have the same passion and vision in regard to this project. 👍

Very beautiful and reminds me of how Atlantis was said to look like, I would have like to see traffic, amenities, city services, and other things that were added, but I do like how you made you're keep the city green and areas with only trees. I'm sure this would help mitigate the air pollution.

It looks amazing. I just hope no one mistakes videogame urbanism for real life. This city would be a miserable example of high modernism in action, with limited means to get from one part to another, road infrastructure central to planning and to the city itself, occupying the best land etc.

But I have visited Brasilia and other cities that looked great on paper and ended up lifeless and isolated because of gigantic infrastructure cris-crossing them. I think elegant designs such as these work for smaller cities like Palmanova and star fort places.

The public transport system in this city is a combination of several bus lines and taxis, along with metro lines connected to the railway network. Unfortunately, I no longer have the save file for this game; otherwise, I would have made a detailed video about it. I might rebuild this city in the future and show its details in different episodes. Would you be interested in watching a few episodes detailing it? 😊
I hope that nobody does this. The only countries that do this are places like the UAE, where citizens are mistreated. Money is wasted on building this instead if caring for citizens.

It looks cool. From a bird's eye view. Aesthetically. And the constant rain effect is probably the tears of the residents who live in this urban hell. You can see it at 4:02 , we see a lot of skyscrapers on the outer radius. Not the biggest building I counted 40 floors and on all of these there are 2, two lane roads. Welcome to New York traffic.

Thank you so much for watching the video and for your comment. This city was a conceptual design where I focused more on the city’s layout, but I didn’t neglect the details. The public transport system in this city is a combination of several bus lines and taxis, along with metro lines connected to the railway network. Unfortunately, I no longer have the save file for this game; otherwise, I would have made a detailed video about it. I might rebuild this city in the future and show its details in different episodes. Would you be interested in watching a few episodes detailing it? 😊

I hope that nobody does this. The only countries that do this are places like the UAE, where citizens are mistreated. Money is wasted on building this instead if caring for citizens.

You're right, the CPU was running hot at 80 degrees and under a lot of pressure. But luckily, it was able to handle it and keep the city running smoothly.

It looks cool. From a bird's eye view. Aesthetically. And the constant rain effect is probably the tears of the residents who live in this urban hell. You can see it at 4:02 , we see a lot of skyscrapers on the outer radius. Not the biggest building I counted 40 floors and on all of these there are 2, two lane roads. Welcome to New York traffic.
