thank you! I know this was 7 years ago but I'm saving kittens and this is much appreciated!
Thank you, my grandmas were having trouble setting it up, and me, a 12 y.o. know how to help because of this video, thanks!
Much better explained and demonstrated than the instructions in the package. Thanks!
So , you didn't show us how to set the trap... yet you are the first thing that shows up under a Google search... you have the momentum, now you have to teach.
Your instructions were very helpful. The only trouble I have was opening the clip which had to do with hand strength more than anything. Thanks for this video
Thanks a million for this video. We are seniors and my husband can no longer do things like this. We have an animal shredding our mulch and the landscape fabric underneath. Also dug a sizeable hole under the foundation, so hope I can get him with the trap I rented from animal control. Many thanks!!
Thank you for the video my friend. I just bought 2 of these traps from Harbor Freight and was very puzzled as to how to set them. I did a google search and your video popped up. Hope you and yours are safe and healthy. Love your videos my friend.
Wanted to say thank you so much was so clueless how to use until watch the video 😊
Thanks man, that helped way more than the video harbor freight sent me! Got it all ready to catch a couple groundhogs...
Your instructions were well spoken and easy to understand. Thanks. You did much better than the instructions that accompany to trap. :-)
I watched because the instructions that came with my trap were horrible diagrams...ty!
Thank you, clear and easy to see!
The rabbit trap I ordered arrived, without any instructions, and I had no idea how to operate it. Thank you for the video which made it all very clear. Easy and straight forward when you know how.
Glad to be of help...good luck trapping.
Easy to put together but the door is giving you problems
Thanks for the best video with clear instructions which did not come with my trap.
Your instructions were easy to understand, and much better than the instructions that came with the trap!
Thank you so much for this video. I bought this exact trap but dang if I couldn't figure out how to asseemble/set it. Very simple once you see it done. It worked for us. We caught the naughty little feral cat we were after. Thanks again!
Did the same thing ha!
thanks for the video that explains the direction better then the pamphlet that came with the box.
Thank you for this video. I was struggling with the setup when following the written directions.
Very good video - thanks for taking the time to prepare this.
I was having a hard time with how to secure that back side. Thanks. I feel special😂
very informative and interesting video, thanks
Thanks for your video!!!! Could not figure it out with the instructions it came with!!!!!
Thanks for this video! Big help
This was very helpful thank you!
Thanks this was helpful.
Great video, thanks!
Wow these cages should come with a link to your videos.. thanks alot man 💪
Thank you, friend. This is exactly the instruction I was seeking. Be well.
***** Glad I could help. Keep checking back as I'll have a video per day posted starting in August.
Loved the ending :-)
Thank you bcz that cage came with mo instructions & I couldn't remember how to set it.
Thank u. -Year 2021
Thanks
This trap is very good .I caught two cats success fully .After you trap the animal cover it with towel till you release them .The animal will not make noise .
I wish I had seen this video earlier. I'm not use to using these traps, I bought one assembled, and didn't even know it had a back door. I made two attempts to trap a raccoon, the first one he stepped over the trip plate and got his marshmallows, and left the second time, two days later, I stuck one on the trip plate and trapped him. He was extremely aggressive, I put a tarp over the cage thinking it might rain during the night and he had pulled a large portion of it inside the cage through those tiny openings, how I don't know. I fought with him trying to pull it back out, it was like a tug of war with a dog. The next morning I got up early to relocate him and he was gone, he broke open the back door of the trap. I'll keep trying to trap him but the old saying once bitten twice shy, he may never go in a trap again, just my luck. Thanks for the video I wish I had seen this first.
How did you put on the front door it wasn't attached like you just picked the clasp trap up
I caught a Grey Fox in this same trap. The fox forced its way out through the back end. I recommend wiring it closed with enough wire so nothing can get out.
Thankyou Bob. This was far more helpful than the lack of instructions given by the seller.
I have set my trap around 95% of the way, just struggling with attaching the final wire at the entrance door.
Have you uploaded another close up video since this one? Keeping my fingers crossed.
My problem exactly. I've fiddled with mine for ages, thought I'd hooked it right and the next morning the bait was gone and the door was still open. !!!
With a 37" deep cage, how do you place the feed/bait at the back of the trap without triggering the flap/door? I'm trying to get a bowl of cat food back there. There should be an access door at the beck of the cage.
Cool
How can we see what you're even doing
My trap didn't even come with any instructions. I wish the video quality was better.
Hi ya Bob! I had a trap that did not collapse, loaned to a friend who moved and forgot it. Actually that’s okay cause this one looks a lot more manageable. I honestly don’t know if it worked, once a year we have big trash day and found it. I set it one night, next morning I let hens out totally forgot about trap till one hen ran 90mph past me with something in her beak with another hen right on her tail feathers, then I remembered the trap, I’d thought it didn’t trap her cause of distance between feet and beak to ground. Anyway, it was funny. I’m glad I saw this video due to what commenters said of instructions that came with trap, I’ll know how to set it up per ur demonstration. Thank u
Oh my god thank you
my hook is on the top not the side where do I hook it into?
Thank you. Just ordered, And want to T.N.R feline in my backyard 😺
long rod tricker trap door, i can't see it, i do have a rod bent over like u-shape with a hook to it, but no long rod? 480p why so low couldnt you do 720p
A dog keeps coming to the house and messing up our shrubs and flowers. Sometimes even some how getting into the trash can. Will dogs scream or something when caught
I don't know what happened to the stake . I couldn't find it so used a piece of bent all thread rod . I won't release it but kill possum which been up in my attic for a very long time . Also another one been in my rental house and already knocked down a lot of the ceiling . I forhgot this one knocked down ceiling where I'm at .
Will this work for chipmunks or will it escape through those openings in the cage?
it's kinda difficult to see, it camouflage with d background. js
Thanks for the vid. I was able to figure it out!
Mine didn't come with instructions either but I figured it out by myself before the vendor referred me to this video clip.
You inspired me to make a video on How to set Steel Animal Foothold Trap also!
+Gem Webb Sweet! I'll be hitting the traps hard come November/December. Keep at it senior.
Shot at an agle where you can see absolutely nothing. Perfect.
I must be an idiot or have a different trap cause I can't see what lever you have and its clearly not as simple as you are doing, mine doesn't collapse either
+Lyss Bolda This is a harbor freight special. I'll post a video in the next week on the many triggers that these traps can have. I've more than a few and I understand your frustration.
The 15" wide would work as a turtle trap.
Can't see the way you actually hooked the spring door up. Can you film this again so it can be seen? Thanks.
+skinsthunderbomb Can do. I'll be shooting several series on different humane traps around November/December to demonstrate the various triggers the market has to offer.
Thanks very much :)
A close up of the hooking mechanism would have been good. 🤔🤔
I have a nice little tip for you. Invest like $100 into a camera, or get a better phone so I can see WTH you are doing…
🎉
Think I can catch pesky feral cats with this cage?
Decsent video, if you had a close up in couple of spot would have been even better
I can't see what he is doing.
Thanks. I am after a Raccoon that keeps pooping in my Pool
How do you get the swing arm if your trap is missing one? Have to get one?
Also we have some Raccoons destroying some of our yard, but that's not bad at all (just general messing up things, but nothing serious). The really bad aspect of having cute Raccoons around is the incredible fear some people have. The worse is that some neighbors hate them and poison them. I think it is best just to trap them and take them to a nearby nice place / park somewhere near Washington DC where they can live happily and not being threatened by scary neighbors who are very afraid of them and may hurt them due to their fear of animals (we also have red foxes and neighbors also are afraid of them, even tho red foxes and friendly and do not harm anyone). What is the most humane & best place to take them a bit far from the city/ from Washington, DC metro area?
The video quality is not quite good. Can't see the details.
Bei Ju Working on it. From here on out he output should be better on newer videos. My apologies.
I hope the intent of trapping is to release these innocent animals and not kill them. Thank you for the tutorial, but it is hard to see the equipment
Cant really see
Next time get the camera close up.
It was a nice easy video to watch. I’m about to catch a fox hopefully.
I was unable to see what you were clipping and closing with the pieces as the camera is not close enough for me to see what you have in your hands. It did not help me. I paid $57.00 for it, so much have been much cheaper when you made this video.
Too hard to understand
Using it to help stray and feral cats, not to catch forest animals.
I have a video of that trap in action on my channel
My trap door was not attached and I'm seeking help. Moving on.
I want to catch a fox
Thanks for NOT showing how to set it!
The instructions are helpful. Someone loaned me a trap to trap, spay, and rescue a stray mother cat and kittens living in the woods. But the reference to whether the animal trapped is released or killed is offensive.
THANKS FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE DON'T BE MEAN OR KILL ANIMALS , THEYARE JUST TRYING TO LIVE LIKE WE ARE- HAVE A HEART- BE KIND TO THE INNOCENT- I am trying to trap a feral kitten in my barn who was dumped there, I need to get her/him spayed or neutered, shots, wormed etc....
This video wasn’t any help to me.
Video is way too far from the camera and no details, sorry no like
Your too far away to see what your doing 👎🏼
