Rethink HOW you play Guitar and It WON'T Feel Like Practice Anymore.

If you're forcing yourself to do practice things you aren't interested in, it's going to drain the fun of playing guitar. By shifting priorities in what you practice, it won't feel like practice anymore and can breathe new life into your guitar journey.

To distill my own rambling to key points:
1. You don't need to follow traditional routines of practice routine and lessons IF you feel it DOESN'T work for you.
2. You don't need to learn things that people say you need to IF it doesn't interest you.
3. By choosing to pass on learning certain things, you WILL need to accept the compromise that you'll be less skilled in that area.
For the sake of making guitar more fun for you, examine for yourself what you're willing to give up in exchange for saving yourself the pain of doing things that you feel are a total drag and suck the fun out of guitar.

I haaaate practicing, and its been hard to admit that i dont gaf about "correct" playing. I just want to play what i want to play😭.

Try and figure out what part of practice is dragging down your enjoyment. If you stop doing the boring/annoying bits, what will you lose out on? If you decide it's worth the investment, it may give you the motivation for practice to be less of a bummer.

25 songs is pretty large repertoire!!! Writing lyrics always feels like a chore to me. None of my songs have lyrics and I love singing... so sad :C

For me, the majority of songwriting time goes to the words. All of my songs have lyrics and I hate singing. Maybe we should trade!
