That contact in lap 18 was not your fault imo. I would've gone for that move too. What I think happened is that the BMW driver didn't have his virtual mirror on so he didn't see you commit to the inside, then he turned in super early (as you do in the M4 GT4) and hit you in the first instance. The second hit was just him sliding into you because he lost the rear, so not really his fault.
Very good driving & tactics there, you got to grips with the ACC method & pretty much dominated.....Studio 397 might ask for their fridge magnets back but Kunos will see you right :)

Hey Ermin! Great videos as always.
As far as that incident at 38:05 I don't think you did anything necessarily wrong, but you might have scared the GT4 on the inside (considering he was 18th place, he might not be very experienced or aware fully aware of his surroundings). Non-experienced drivers tend to just focus ahead and even with the blue flag, etc he might have just missed you on the inside, or just didn't expect you to be there. As far as that 2nd bump, it looked like he had lost traction and just bumped you by momentum of his car so nothing he could had done.
Being on ACC for quite some time, if you're lapping other drivers, it's just best to for a long straight and not go for a move on a turn, specially if they're towards the back of the pack.

Recently started to dabble in some sim racing and watching you learn online is class as it’s like me learning the game in general!
Congrats on your first win, I remember I got mine in a low SA race at Barcelona and there was only about 3 people out of the 8 or 9 who were challenging me. Once I won I almost wanted to tell them they got beat by a 13 year old who just started sim racing in the last month, but I didn't because I'm a nice person :)

Nice! I’ll have to join. I raced in a fun race with Simracing604 and had a blast. I joined the league for his new season but had to miss the first two races due to Covid so I just backed out. It’ll be nice to join another group and race.

My first attempt at online racing was in iracing. Qualified like 3rd place. When on formation I got so nervous I turn the sim off lol. Still get nerves every race but I can handle it better. Good race.
I was very nervous for my first online races as well. You never want to be the guy that makes a fool of himself and ruins the race for everyone 😂

Heads up, Porsche engine mapping is abit different than most vehicles. Engine map 8 is its race/quali map settings, 1 to I think 3 is porsche's eco modes.
Also the standings take time to update because its not instant, standing update at every sector or at the line. It's basically exactly like how it is in real life.

The rule of thumb when overtaking a slower class.
The onus is on You to safely overtake. Although I don't see what else you could have done wit that GT4 that sideswiped you, other than waiting until a straight.
Also, don't use the real world GT World Challenge, ADAC or other motorsports where GT3 an multiclass are involved as an example of what to do in terms of overtaking.
In real life, there is significant more risk involved, thus, most drivers involved, be it GT3 drivers or GT4 drivers will have considerable more experience when it comes to overtaking and being overtaken.
My friend who drives the Aston in GT3, ADAC series mostly likes to say. "Before you drive a GT3, you get a crash course in how to be overtaken." Eheh.
Generally its just stick to your line, don't keep looking back in your mirrors, don't worry, don't panic. The onus is on them to safely over take you. Blue flags do not mean 'Get out the way immediately' They simply mean, you have a significantly faster driver coming that is now lapping you, be advised. Safely allow them to pass.
Sick and tired of people who biatch and whine about 'blue flags, blue flags, get out the way! omfg dooood' usually they're the ones causing the accidents, not the backmarker. All the backmarker has to do is, stick to their line and coast on corner exit and into a corner, walla. Leave the overtaking to the one doing the overtaking, its all on them on how to safely do it.

The AMG 2020 is just easier to drive, not quicker
And the slide in 130r, drop your rear ride height by 1 - 2 clicks or raise your rear wing by 1 click, could also reduce your front splitter, stiffen the suspension, or adjust the toe
Very cool! Question though... when do you know when it's cool to race online so that you aren't messing up the experience of others? Watched too many videos where players get cursed out because they made a mistake mainly on iracing.
There are some communities that have "rookie friendly" races where you won't get shouted at for making a mistake. That's where I started! Even then, it's good to have some idea of how to not murder people constantly
Tons of casual communities on simracing.gp. Otherwise you can just chance it in public lobbies. Some pretty crazy driving can take place there. Eventually you just have to bite the bullet.
My first online race was a 24-hour one where I shared a 911 with 4 other drivers, most of whom were far better than me.

Cool video, question tho. How do you make this game feel good cause the feel is very good on rF2 but on ACC I can't feel what the car is doing and the wheel is pretty light in the middle? T300 btw
Ive noticed with ACC thathaving the minimal force set to 12 and messing with the in game caster on settings it helps dial it in a little better.
It sucks to say this, because it's not a very wholesome answer, but getting a Direct Drive wheel made all the difference in ACC for me. It sucked on my T500RS.

Hi mate. Any chance you can do a quick vid on your graphics settings for ACC? I’m really struggling to make it look ok. Running a 1080 and trying to make it work but maybe it’s just not up to it.
Dude I've got a 1070ti and everything runs on ultra @ 1440 pretty as. You shouldn't be having much of an issue

would it not have made more sense to go for half a tank considering how close to the front of the pack you started? (less weight = faster doesnt it?)
I think with that 130R drift you could have maybe settled it with a touch of throttle. Probably could have avoided it by just feathering the brakes a bit in a straight line, rather than trail braking in. Just looked like not enough weight on the rear of the car didn't it.

I have no idea how you struggle with acc ai. The new AI is very safe and the old one was even safer. It's insanely easy to gain SA with the ai. You just have to make sure you don't cut them off and give them space
The BMW turned in on you, you where not at fault at all. He def should have seen you in mirror or relative to know what was happening. It was only one turn in though the second knock is still part of the first incident as the Bimmer goes sideways.
