There's no issues with BoP, you switched to fuel map 2 in the pits, and stayed in it till the end of the race. You could have beat the Bentley in fuel map 1. Doesnt matter for one position really. In the end, you have very good pace overall.

With the track extension at No Name check your delta, you were gaining time. One of the most important things to do in your first laps of a race is to nail a good lap, so track extension warnings become tougher to get against a quick delta.
This was a great video, fun watching you adapt to ACC from your natural habitat of RF2 with its adhesive-esque tyre grip & ease of handling....you did really well but I'm with you on Bentleys being great around Spa riding kerbs that flip the Ferrari like a coin. Keep up the good work!

Regarding your pit stops, it's actually a mistake I see a lot of people make. When you wanted to stop the engine, you hit the STARTER button, which you need to HOLD to turn off the engine. If you wanted to just hit a switch and have the engine stall instantly you need to toggle the IGNITION. So I don't wanna sound rude or anything but that's on you.
What Jardier complains about is something else, it's about the positioning of the car during the pit stops, which I do agree with : essentially if you're not exactly in your box, the ''mechanics'' need to move your car which takes a good 3-4 seconds, whereas in real life the box tolerance is much larger so you'd lose less time. I also feel like they moved the box positions in the 1.6 update, but I'm not sure.
They’ve got 2 stop signs now which has fucked it up totally. Lost 10 seconds not knowing whether to stop at the new one which is about 6ft short of the guy holding out the board. Remove the board or move it to the right place don’t have 2.... Kunos are very lazy with patch notes and the UI is pretty bad

With blue flags in GT racing they don't need to get out of the way as they do in F1 its just a warning for slower cars that a quicker car is coming up
Yeah. Unfortunately, it feels that when people learn they don’t have to move over on blue flag, they’ll start fighting. Easier for the passing car to see you stick to the line and lift a bit, most importantly, stay predictable and constant!
For pit stops i change the camera to bonnet view so I can stop on the mark. Start car as it lands on the ground and drive away

If you had CrewChief running, pitstops are easier to manage.

Finaly!
In multi-class GT- racing the quicker cars have to find their way around the slower cars. The slower cars stick to racing line due to predictability. In that specific case at minute 25 they were fighting as you mentioned. That will always cost you in the faster car. As frustrating as it might be sometimes: it's the thrill of multi-class :) (now, Jesus-guy: do your thing ;) )

This a part of sim racing I hate. Setups can make a massive difference, but we're not all underemployed virgins with days to waste comparing 0.25 psi changes.
2:18 is seconds a lap faster than this game with AI on max, and no way can I see those speeds on straights or stop that quickly with the same abs and tc settings and fuel load.

Enjoyed watching, is the playback slow? Everything seems to happen in slow motion. You're rear tire pressures were also slightly too high which won't help the rear grip. I aim for 27-27.5 rear and 27-28 front

Your brake bias more forward would help the rear end from acting weird in braking zones
Brand new to sim racing , just got my fanatec clubsport set up wating for the dark wheel stand then will be stuck playing on xbox until I can save money for a computer any suggestions to help me on my learning curve?
Bit of a late reply and I’m not an expert so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I’d recommend finding settings your comfortable with so you can build a base and then put the laps in to improve that.

hey guys, i don't have my wheel rn, what would you say is the best sim or game you can play with a controller ?
ACC is survivable on controler while you're waiting for a wheel, if you setup your controller carefully.
You also acciddentely (i assume) changed your Engine Map at the Pit, that is probably why that Boatley was that much stronger on the Straight.
It was on purpose.
Why change your engine map on purpose? You were loosing so much to the Bentley on the straights and throughout the whole lap.
@@dannyvenuss I've been racing against Strmen (the Bentley) since Mike started this community. He is legit alien, he gets bored with us normals so he toys with us. Sometimes he falls all the way to the back just to pass us all again. Ridiculous how fast he is. You may think I'm crazy, but he was only about 75% in this race. I wouldn't have believed it, if I haven't witnessed it myself. He's unbelievable!

@Ermin, You Potato! If tyres were mandatory they always take 30 sec to change, fuelling 100L or so takes around 23 sec. You could have easily started with half the fuel and not had those issues you had early on. Think about it next time ;)
Tyres aren't generally mandatory even if the stop is, so it could have either been an initial race load + a splash and dash or a 50/50.

You accidentally changed the engine map to 2 when you started the car after the pit stop, hence the loss of power on the straights
It wasn't an accident.
Just a heads up, the five point tire model is already in the game. So they said.
Also, you are torching your tires when exiting. Lower the rear pressures. You want the middle bar of the tire to be perfectly even with the outsides.
Lastly, provisional pole is reserved for qualifying. You performed an overcut, which put you in first place.
I can not imagine driving a car that is sliding like this one... Disaster

Just drive respectfully and you'll be fine. I raced a lobby 3 days ago and most of the drivers were pretty terrible. The top 5 raced well though. I just got ac and probably should have practiced more the ffb was different then my last sim but I still got 3rd I believe. I'm not a particularly good racer. Just know some people will always be upset. Its a competitive scene. Just be respectful and pay attention because some criticism is deserved and useful. But the ai are fun too so regardless have fun.

Ok ...I'm waiting for an invitation. The big question I have for Ermin is will there be "Skill Categories"? I've only been at this less than one year & I'm retired ...meaning my reaction speed & learning curve is like a cold tire on wet tarmac!!!! I thought I was pretty good until going on-line with ACC ...live racing is great but tells me I need more practice & instruction! I'm not quite a beginner & I've even won some on line races ...but I am NOT at your skill level ...so what does that mean concerning my ability to participate with upper level skilled racers?

It is a very casual league with a set of rules for fairness. Everyone is on Discord voice chat so if anything needs to be said by the admins, it can be. I'd recommend signing up if you want some fun and competitive ACC racing!

I'm not sure if you noticed but when you pitted you changed engine map which would explain how much faster the Bentley was. normally it is faster but not that much lol.
The Ferrari is made to run at map 3, I was overdriving it for the first half.
13:27 That's because ACC has a f*cking tire model. I recently drive on a Suzuka in a BMW 6 GT3 in Ams 2, RFactor 2, Raceroom and ACC. In all simulators, the BMW handled normally, only in ACC I drove a bunch of turns in constant drift on warm tires and with traction control turned on. I guess this is not what you would expect from a GT3 class car.

I’m not going to waste money on outdated hardware thats less powerful and just as, or more expensive than a 3080
3080 is the base spec GPU for my needs
Michał AMD’s support features are terrible and their total features lack what I want.
The “ we’re working on it, it’s coming.” Is utter garbage.
I’m not spending the money on the “promise” of what features“might” come when Nvidia is in their second generation of RTX and DLSS.
If anything I may wait for the 3080 super/TI variant

When you're doing the pitstop you need to go in to neutral and turn the engine off. They won't begin before that.

no, no need to go into N. You can stall the engine from 1st gear by using the ignition or the starter, in fact it's usually quicker because once you turn the engine on again you don't need to upshift to get going. But yeah sure you can go into N if needed !
I don’t like the pitstops in acc. In championship mode I come in position 4. Pitstop take 38 sec. And I drive out in position 16. Why I don’t know.

2.18 is considered an average lap, meanwhile on console I'm doing a 2.21, how I wish I could be quicker
I still prefer rf2 tbh for pure ffb and handling etc but acc really fucked up on this title they should have just made AC 2 which could have included this and everything else
Tire model is a mess especially the cold tire bits
Frustrating video to watch from my point of view.
Different set up needed for qualifying and race, dependent on time of day, weather and track temperature.
You had turned the engine map down to ‘2’ - presumably accidentally because you didn’t know why you were loosing so much speed compared to the Bentley.
Suggest you have a bit more practice and get to know the controls (menus etc) and pit stops before diving into another race.
You’re quick and you should have easily won that race.
Enjoyed it though but felt frustrated for you 👍🏼

With a bit more understanding you’d be winning many ACC races.
I made the mistake of diving in to this as a game when it’s much more of a simulation.
Track evolution is a thing in this!

Sorry but you did not deserve better, you didn't know how to pitstop in Acc, you did not use proper setup for your car, at least you connected your steering wheel to the pc.
