I found a hollow spot on my pool when I drained iy a month ago. I found this to be very upsetting because I had the pool remodeled in 2008. Yeah thats 15 years ago now (time flies) but i had them jackhammer it out to the gunite and rebar i dont feel this should be happening on the inside of the pool. Could this be caused by bad water chemistry? Too much calcuim in the water? Why was the pebble tec surface blown on so thinly? I have some cracks near my skimmer and some.deck cracks bear my jacuzzi. Should I seal them with anything special?
It could happen if the bond kote doesn’t bond to 100% of the pool surface. How big of a hollow spot is it? Chemistry or calcium wouldn’t cause hollow spots. That’s a construction issue. Are the cracks superficial or do they leak?
What are your thoughts on hollow spots?
I spent about 5 hours jackhammering delamination this morning in florida, heat index 108. Not easy but kind of satisfying when its done
I couldn’t agree more. It’s miserable outside right now.
Yeah, we love skimmer. Here to support! ATX Pool Man here!
Great video Erik!
Thanks sis!
