Spraying concrete without a good mask and safety's. Best gain. Couple months and you out off work for good. The how you perform you job. Sometimes more important the the job its self. ; )
If you make the pool dead smooth the next step (being waterproofing and tiles) won't bond as well as they should, and risk lifting after a couple of years. So a quick wood float or other item to make the pool surface roughness around a 600 grit finish will ensure the bonding products have the best chance to adhere and stay put over the life of the pool.
@@kmobthm Concrete estimator apps are a godsend . How thick as a minimum ? 70 mm concrete coverage over steel mesh , that way you reduce/eliminate the chance of rust spots leaching through from tie wire. How thick Max ? @@piggysleft no we have stuff called a slick pack that we put in the hose before the concrete get put in the hopper and it helps the mud glide through the hose better and we put it in the dirt, rocks,or grass because it’s bio degradable not in the pool.
@@connorcalobeer7472 he didn’t prime out in the pool , he was filling up two pier holes that had a little water in them. The operator made the slump 6-7inch slump then slow fed it through the line then sprays at 6inch slump.
Awesome job fellas
Glad you enjoyed it
You guys make it look easy.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 no they don’t
They sure do, If this was American they’d have 10 guys on the team going twice as slow.
@@piggysleft that’s funny cuz we shoot an 80 pool before 7:00 usually with only 5 people

that is incredibly cool
Thankyou !
Linus Tech tips brought me here
How so ?😁

I'm amazed how fast these workers can move?
Thankyou Kimo, Ill let the guys know.
K/h KPH or Mi/h MPH
Few questions, What slump is used? and how do you stop the tops from sagging?
4 inch slump. Spray closer.
Really a 4 slump? I do 4 and 5 for driveways and floors. Interesting
Just curious never seen a pool concrete done. Very cool
I cant believe at 4 it still sets and doesnt sag on walls but ill have to try it one day
Just the way I was taught.@@erictaylor6714
How did the last man get out without leaving a trace ... ?
Looks like #4 reinforcement. 👍👍
Correct , standard size in Aus.
I wish Cali would adopt that sandard
How does the concrete stay up on the walls and not slide down ?also how thick are the walls ?
James , its shotcrete ( pool mix ) so its a little stickier than slab mix along with the additional chemicals used.
Walls were around 8 inches thick.
@@dcshotcrete hey mate how do you get out?
@@matthewleonardi247 , I get out at the first place I start spraying because it will be firm enough to climb out.
So this is what Linus was talking about
yup, Im the lucky guy at the fun end of the hose.

Plaster.
What brand/unit do you have as your shotcrete machine?
The pump being used here is a Transcrete p60
@@dcshotcrete That's very helpful. Thank you.

27 yards

Why the hell would you prime out in the pool
By prime out you mean first bit of concrete coming through the hose ?

Howmuch is the concret ratio
I imagine that breathing shotchete is not good for the lungs. The operator needs some PPE.
Are there American born workers or only Mexicans?
Wouldn't have a clue as we're an Australian team.
