@@HisWordisLife4U There's no structural support in bricks stacked like that. If the soil is prone to moving a lot it will out pressure the water and collapse the walls inward. If the soil is soft and prone to water logging then the water will out pressure the soil and collapse it outward. The only thing that could be done to try and avoid that is to backfill with gravel as a buffer between the soil and the wall but at 31:48 you can clearly see she is backfilling with fill dirt. Don't get fooled into thinking this channel is real, it's all fake for youtube clicks.
She should call the company & tell them that she's only paying for half since he broke the other half dumping them out of the truck AND Effing up her pathway😖!!!

It's single skin it's 4 1/2", and the "foundation" has zero chance against lateral forces..... Maybe she'll need to backfill and fill the water simultaneously to try and equalise the pressure from both sides, but will never be able to empty it!!!
I don't think this is a swimming pool. They'll probably breed crocodiles here ))) It's not very deep. And even if the brick is dissolved by water, the crocodile won't be harmed.

The pressure does not depend on the amount of water. Only the height of the water, should it be half a ton or 100's of tons. Physics 101 in elementary school.
What I like about this channel is that she doesn't try to fake the process, how 90% of other channels do. She doesn't show how she collected 3 lime rocks and a shovel of sand on the river and then made 5 tons of cement from it. And how she is crafting a brick from clay for 30 mins, and in the next shot she already "made" 10,000 of them.
Pls do not build your pool like this ppl !!...unless it's for one season only. I'm a professional pool installation and repair tech and this won't hold
I work with concrete and I don't see rebar too. It's such a great design. I've even had kiddy pools blow when it's supports were compromised. Rebar and two rows on the bottom foot would be a minimum.
I'd like to see it in 5 years, there is no way that it stands without cracking and caving. These videos make me laugh, if I laid bricks like that I'd be out of a job instantly.

She stuccoed the brick wall on the inside and she will probably never empty it or have to worry about freezing or a water source to keep it filled. Of course you wouldn't do it as job you sold to a customer but it's her damn pool and you could tell she thought it through if you paid attention.

I've built pools and the minimum requirement is 200mm wide core filled blocks with N16 starter bars and N16 horizontal reinforcing laid on 400mm 20MPA concrete beam footing. That is the perfect woman. Wow. As a swimming pool company owner I would love to have 3-4 just like her. Sure the construction is not the most well engineered. But if it works it works. No red tape and councils involved, magic really. A simpler way of living that I envy.
Its nice brick work, but I gotta admit Im concerned about the structural integrity of that single layer brick wall. The weight of the water is considerable, and the ground is going to want to settle eventually when its filled.
it will be backfilled so the wall wont go anywhere and if they haven't disturbed the clay to much it will be nice and firm so no worry of it sinking later, might need filling regularly though

You do realize many commercial pool for towns and communities are built from cinder blocks don’t you. There are also many many many tunnels and bridges built out of bricks. I can make an arch out of one run of brick that would hold a car up so strength isn’t an issue here
Watch the next 2 videos after this one, when she puts in all the plaster and paints it with waterproof paint. Then fills it with water. She wasn't done yet here.
Great innovation. Ppl if you don't take care you will miss the point of these videos. It's teaching us to be innovative and creative in anyway possible. Я так понимаю в ту продольную проточку вдоль кирпича должа устанавливаться арматура? Надо было всё таки армировать кладку, потому что там где она выпуклая полукруглая может быть и выдержит за счёт эффекта арки, а вот там где вогнутая кладка, после засыпки может со временем продавить давлением грунта и она потрескается. Уж слишком тонкая стена в полкирпича, хотя если глубина засыпки будет небольшая, то может быть и обойдётся.
Всё это движение затеяно ради лайков и просмотров, практический результат "строительницу" не волнует. Я не удивлюсь, если после съёмки данное сооружение демонтируют.

At the very beginning when this footer is being dug, if concrete is not used this footer will crumble over time and these walls will fall. Morter mix is not concrete, it was not made for footers. When a footer is dug, rebar is used to keep this footer Level, then a transit and tripod is used to shoot a level grade from the top of the rebar to rebar. This will keep the foundation or footer level. Then concrete is to be poured almost to the top of each rebar sticking straight up. 3/4 of an inch is the biggest joint anyone would want on the bottom of the first course of brick/block.
You are correct. In a nutshell, that is excellent looking non-compacted soil - perfect for agricultural use. To construct ANYTHING of any significant weight on that soil would require foundational reinforcement in order for the structure (whatever it is) to survive the natural erosion and subsidence resulting from the high rainfall in that part of the world. That pool, will it made for an interesting video, will crack under the weight of the water in it within 36 months. It might continue to hold water, but would certainly have multiple leaks.

I do my own house renovations and taking a woodworking course in hig hschool 300 years ago was very valuable to me. I dont have the skills of this brick laying although I world like to take a course but none is offered at any type of school. Trade schools in the Atlanta area are non existent since COVID

I do my own house renovations and taking a woodworking course in hig hschool 300 years ago was very valuable to me. I dont have the skills of this brick laying although I world like to take a course but none is offered at any type of school. Trade schools in the Atlanta area are non existent since COVID
Wouldn’t you need some type of steal rods to stabilize the bricks? This is awesome. She’s obviously a very hard working lady. I would hate for all that work to be demolished in just a couple years time.
