As someone who builds nuclear shelters for families, the use of asbestos and the flimsy mesh used would be a no-no, plus you want a escape exit or its just a tomb. It also needs to be about twice the size to be able to live in it for 14+ days for fallout. So sink, toilet and macerator to pump the waste up and out, addition of shower is a luxury. Water storage and power storage with deployable fold out solar panels to run intake and extraction fan with carbon filters, run lighting and cook with, add some beds and books games etc and you're done. I've often considered building an underground bunker and studied a lot of builds and techniques. I have also built many sheds, garages, tiny houses and retaining walls. The problem with bunker builds such as this is that one mistake will ruin the entire build. It is a shame to see someone working so hard on a build only to omit a critical factor that jeopardises the whole thing. The overarching problem with this build is drainage. It relies entirely on membranes to keep the water out with no way to reduce the water pressure against the walls and floor. The problem is rarely water going down into the bunker. It's water rising up from underneath. In building any below-ground level structure -- even a retaining wall -- two questions have to be answered: 1. How do I keep the water out? and 2. What do I do with the water that gets in? In most cases the failure is caused by not addressing the second question. Underground water pressure can be extraordinarily high. It can even pop empty concrete pools out of the ground. Pool builders have to install one-way valves at the bottom their pools to stop this from happening! One single weakness in the membranes of this bunker will result in the pressurised groundwater entering the structure. This bunker has numerous weaknesses where water can enter. There is no apparent way to collect and remove the water before it gets into the living area. The floor and walls are backfilled with dirt with no drainage layer at all, meaning that water will constantly push in against the walls and up under the floor. It will find any crack or weakness in the membranes and force its way inside. Even worse, tree roots can grow all the way up to the walls without encountering any barrier and the lack of a drainage layer means they cannot even inject a herbicide to kill roots that find their way through. Tree roots easily break concrete over time. Over my life, I have seen and even lived in many structures that have had major problems with drainage issues. It is the most common issue with man-made structures. Even professional builds have drainage problems due to improper drainage, including my father's house which was built in 1999. My father failed to recognise the drainage issues before he signed off on the build and the council didn't notice the problems either. He has dealt with flooding issues ever since. How would this fellow fix the problem now? Well, he would have to excavate down the entire length of the walls and an extra foot past that, then install 200um plastic against the concrete walls, a riser pipe and 30cm of drainage gravel back up to ground level. A huge job but I am afraid it is the only way to fix this problem. RUclips has dozens of "failed bunker fills with water" videos. Anyone who wants to build a bunker or cellar should take careful note of why other builds caused problems and talk to a professional engineer before starting.

If you added another 50' & evac fans this would make a great firing range
Very very good my friend thank you
It was a brilliant reply from Elton John
Not exactly a bunker. More like a basement for storing paints.
It can keep a few dead body in there too
Or one perfect factory for a good moonshine business 😂😂
@@djay5467that would need to be very well ventilated

Pra que tanto trabalho se o Senhor não edificar a casa em vão trabalha os sentinela ou seja se Ele não guarda e um trabalho inútil isso se chama falta de confianca no Deus todo poderoso
It is plenty strong, but dude did almost everything the hard way. With better planning this could have been a one week build, even as a one man build.
Bunker for WHAT? It takes 1 foot of lead, or 3 feet of concrete, or 10 feet of soil to protect oneself from radiation exposure.
It's a good storm shelter or food storage in current configuration.
It would make for a good hydroponic garden 🪴
мдаа, знатная парнуха получилась )))
НО стилажи, ОГОНЬ!!! ))))
Big fail. He used asbestos.
Asbestos rules
If
It don’t become friable
And
Does not get airborne
The asbestos is the beesKnees
nice job on the stairs,
I’m not sure how is this described as a “bunker”. He did a good job building it until I realized the shelves turned it into a storage room!
It's called a bunker, but it's a nuclear fallout shelter. He will survive. People sitting in their homes will be exposed to a deadly amount of radiation from the radioactive fallout.
Good job that is a ton of work!!
Прикольный подвал под полки 😂
Woow
The guy could have used a precast concrete septic tank 😂
that was my idea also, for a cheap, quick Iowa underground tornado shelter.
@@TsunauticusIV or put three shipping containers and joined them
That's funny you say that I was actually at a concrete septic tank place down the street from me looking at the largest one they had and it would have worked
@@TheNinjaMarmot shipping containers aren't as strong. They require more reinforcement because the strength is at the corners where they stack, but not in the center.
@@TJK50014 That's true. Plus you have to think about weatherproofing it and transportation costs.
But it'll make a great emp proof bunker and once you've created a good concrete foundation you can stack them on top of each other and reinforce with concrete and rebar.
In certain places you can't dig too deep though.
You think there wouldnt be repeat attacks? You wouldnt get a break from fallout for months. Your bunker would need to keep you alive for atleast a year
My man getting ready just in case Kamala Harris somehow wins. Smart.
So you're anticipating January 6 Episode 2?
Lock trump up 2024🎉
It should hold water well!! Cause the way it is layed out it will get plenty inside the door!!
A very nice root cellar, great for storing food and supplies not for living .
让我学到了不少东西,非常感谢,我也想动手做一个房子
Bravo, sir
Love this!! Nothing like hitting a garage door that heads somewhere else ;) it's got an old-school feel to the project. good stuff - You're a God brother! keep up the work. Looks great
Great job. The bunker looks pretty good.
This is absolutely a Bunker CASKET ⚰️!!!
No it's a nuclear FALLOUT shelter. He won't be targeted by a NUCLEAR MISSILE. In fact, 90% of all casualties from a nuclear war will die from RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT. He will be protected. You will be in your home which offers NO PROTECTION from radioactive fallout. The intensity of the exposure you get in the first 48 hours will determine if you die a slow agonizing death over a period of hours, days, weeks or months. Your home will be your casket.
Actually! Great !
The good news about asbestos hasn't reached all of the world yet, it seems.
The people that died from asbestos inhalation, worked with asbestos for YEARS. And they probably smoked 2 or 3 packs of cigarettes a day. Do you wear a helmet when you go for a walk?
Really well
Done
OR….you could have simply placed a cargo container (over the prepped floor) and poured concrete around the walls……..
Takes a lot more then just pouring cement around the container 😅
Un genio , si vede povero che non ha possibilità, ma e un grande lavoratore ,mi dispiace per le lastre di eternit ,solo quello resto e tutto okay, divertente
This isn’t a bunker it’s
A TOMB.

I would not live in fear!
If I die I die. 😊
Это не бункер, это могила.
Cool video 😎 and respect 👍💯 and nice
Not in the US. I’m sure the city building department might have something to say about it
