I came here to say EXACTLY this, and saw your comment. Don’t understand how people review optics and never show or talk about the reticle. It’s like a car review and they never show the interior.
Great video & discussion. I recently purchased the Holosun 507K X2 for my Sig P365 XL Macro and I could not be happier. The circle with the dot is the only way to go. Your analysis is spot on.
Just purchased 507K-x2 with the ACSS reticle from primary arms. This is two years after this video. Learned a lot from you today and it gives me confidence on my purchase.
Excellent review! I did a lot of research before I bought the HS507K, but I knew from the research this needed to be atop my P365XL. Zero'd in at 25 yds, then worked in to 10 yds. I have high confidence that I will hit exactly where I aim anywhere from 25yds in!!!
This is my setup now as well. The p365xl is amazing, and I swapped the romeo zero out for the holosun 507k. I like both, but I feel much more secure in the holosun's durability
CZ and Canik guy here as well as prior OCONUS contractor as well....love the HS507 K on my Canik SFX METE nice try it out soon on the range and see how my splits improve
Since I already have studied up on the 507k, and other red dots, your excellent video was the final confirmation I needed about all those good features and the questions I had. Awesome job!
@DavidSteckler yes I bought the green one online. I found it at Brownells. Still haven't tried it yet as I've had other things going on. I love the sight though. I'm glad I went with Halosun
Thanks PG, The Romeo Zero that came with me XL I trust about as much as the government. Have been debating between this & the 6 MOA dot 407K. You've steered towards the 507K with you mentioning the ease of tracking that 32 MOA circle. Take care man. -David
@@DG-888 I'll throw in my two cents worth: The 407K has a coupe pros over the 507K. 1. the 6 moa is easier to find the the 2 moa of the 507. 2. 407 will be 75 to 100 dollars, less because of the lack of the other two reticles. 3. my local gunsmith/friend can mill the slide of the popular compact size guns and because of the small size of these two sights, will co witness with the stock sights. On my edc, M&P 2.0 4" barrel 507C green dots. If you have a little eye problems or just old eyes, the green is even easier to see, imho. The past two months I have been using the 32 moa circle, like John on Active self protection. He has shown in a couple of videos, that the circle can be accurate as the single dot at 100 yards. He kept getting comments that the circles weren't as accurate as the dot. AT 10-15 yards or less to me the circles are mthe way to go!
Great video and assessment One thing I would add after having it on my carry gun for over 2 months now. The back portion of the window is recessed and tends to accumulate dust easily. It is also not super easy to clean (because it is recessed) Not an issue on my night stand gun but definitely worth noting on a daily carry gun
After many reviews and countless hours of research you convinced me to unload and grab the 507k x2 for my 365xl. Just upgraded to the WC grip module so I'm excited to have this little thing finally coming together.
Thanks brother. I just bought a 365xl and was wondering how much trouble to install my 507k. You did a great job explaining. God bless you and yours and God bless America. 🇺🇸
Have the 507k green dot version in a slightly custom p365xl with a Icarus grip module, sig spectre custom slide, and a hogue grip sleeve. I love it. The only negative, if you want to call it a negative, is there are only a few holsters to fit it. I use a Blackhawk cqc owb . Fits perfect. Great edc. Great review. Keep up the great work. Thanks
Perfect timing. Was just looking at picking up the XL, so good to know I’ll have more optic options. Always love holosun and tend to go w/ them when I can. Best bang for your buck for sure. Appreciate it!
I just put one on my hellcat i do love using it... absolutely love being able to change battery without taking it off... also has a setting for how long the shake awake turn off timer takes...
1st time viewer, new sub. I'm glad to find you, I like your intelligence on relaying information. I bought one for my first gun, mostly out of ego. When I got it installed on my CZ P-10C and took it to the range, I lost the ego right away when I realized that I can be 100 times more responsible with my shots. As a new gun owner, it's important for me to have as many reasons as to why I'm responsible, as opposed to not. I'm going to see if you did a video on zeroing in your red dot. If you haven't you should, bet it'd be great. TY. Cheers.
Excellent review, I have a 507c green, I think the circle and the dot is to busy on a pistol. because of your review I will try it out on a bill drill. I love the circle and the dot on the rifle. which is also a holosun green. why green? because I have a t2 red and my eyes could not pick out the center of the target.
Excellent review! The whole bunch of details so well and calmly explained is refreshing, compared to lots of others who seem way too cocky and miss the much needed details. You’re terrific. I’d never shot a red dot before but picked up the Ruger Max9 that was optics-ready. Then started looking at red dot optics videos here on RUclips. In my local gun shop, they had the trijicons and there’s no way I was going to pay a hundred dollars more for a dot, than the damn pistol costs. My Ruger is set up perfectly to install the Holosun 407k or the 507k. The side mounted battery tray is a HUGE selling point. I’m not going to lock down this optic, only to have to remove it to change the battery. I wasn’t sure if I’d even like a red dot at all, so I went with the 407k. Spent a while at the range zeroing it, finally figuring out that the dot isn’t supposed to be in the iron sight picture but in the center of the glass cause it’s higher. (Duh) After a few hundred rounds I love this red dot. Now I wish I’d just got the 507k instead. Finding the 6 MOA dot on the 407k is really easy now after practicing so long with it, but that dot in the 32 MOA circle on the 507k would be super easy. I’m thinking about upgrading to the 507k. Thanks for the great video, you’re a pro at this. First time watcher, now a subscriber. Peace and aloha to you. 🤙🏼
Gotta say I’ve never seen your channel before but after seeing this review I will be looking for more. Thank you for this as I just purchased for the p365Xl and you gave a great review of the Holosun with a bonus of seeing it on my pistol choice.
@Dennis Morales , may I ask how that is working out for you? I have been searching for a new compact to carry. I also fancy the Sig P365xl. Ive been torn between these optics and the Trijicon RMR CC? There are reasons for both. I definitely have my heart on the rmr cc mostly because its an American made product where this one is not. But looks like it has a longer battery time and possibly easier to see 👀. Do you have an option on the subject? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Just looking for the best set up for every day carry.
@@codyantrim8700 if it tells you anything I loved the set up so much I bought it twice over. I personally love sigs and the p365xl is the perfect concealed carry pistol in my opinion with the glock 48Mos as a close second with the shield arms mags. I carry my p365xl in appendix with the 15rd extended mag and it honestly feels amazing and doesn’t print. If I throw in the 12rd mag it disappears even more so. The RMR cc is a nice optic as it literally is just a slightly slimmed down version of the rmr but my issue is that the rmr lacks the extra functionality that holosun provides. Like I said I bought a second p365 in fde. While I would love to buy American made it just doesn’t make sense or justify the purchase when something that is comparable in size with more features that costs less is available. Maybe if I had the extra dough lying around I’d try the rmr cc and love it but the holosun 507k has not disappointed at all
I’ve watched a number of reviews on the 507K but yours is one of the best I’ve found. Thanks for the great video, I’ve now made up my mind on what to mount on my P365X
Really happy they made a sight that fits the 365 without the adaptor. I hate when companies make proprietary mounts, but I loved the gun so much that I had to go for it.
Great Video...very good articulation...keep it up !....love my 507K on my 365XL with TLR7....it is my carry gun now and I can't see it being replaced by anything on the market now...have a great day....
My first dot was the OG RMR Type 2 6.5 MOA. I have no complaints other than the price and battery placement. I cut my teeth with the 407c and really liked it. From there I added the 507c X2 ACSS Green reticle ( my favorite), so intuitive. I added the 407k to my 43X and 365XL. I prefer the dot over the multi-reticle and the 407k is 6 MOA, which I prefer. Pound for pound Holosun punches way above its price point. Great, solid review brother.
Excellent review. I have a 365XL and I had just ordered the Romeo Zero on Optics planet. I actually cancelled my order for the Romeo after watching this video and ordered the Holoson 507 K. Got it for under $300 on Optics planet. Thanks for the review!
I just got this optic in the mail today will be installing it ASAP! Mine was the green one Holster gets here in 2 days cant wait to shoot this P365 also brand new. Thanks 4 this review
What a Great review. I was looking at getting a red dot and you sold me on the 507K. Thanks for the review. I also liked your FB page. Keep the review's coming.
Excellent review, since I am late seeing your video the Holosun has relocated the operations buttons because they got sued by you know who! And you already talked about the more expensive red dot company that sued Holosun. I just bought a 507K 2X series. I like your professionalism very much.
Thank you sir. You knocked this review out of the park. I want reviewers to mention everything that goes into said product. You did that wonderfully and I thank you. Keep it up if you have the time. God bless.
I bought my first red dot and it was the Holosun 507K. I was unaware of any preferences, it just looked like it would fit on my Taurus G3c which i then had my slide milled for the sight.
I appreciate your calmness and expert advice. I have a Glock 43 first gen so I need a little mill work done to the slide for the optic to fit correctly. Getting the optic and mill work done cost about 530$ altogether and I have to wait 3 weeks to get my slide back. I ordered mine from the Glock store. Only thing I would say you left out is how your gun fits in the holster or pocket with this optic. Ive watched 5 videos now on this product so far you are the calmest of them all.
Great!! Informative, detailed evaluation. Bought the optic after watching this presentation. I have installed it on my Sig 365 comp. setup with high sights & going to the range today. I have two other red dots that I’m disappointed with & have removed them. I’m excited about the 507K.
Great review. New subscriber. I bought the 507Kx2GR (green) can’t wait to get to the range. It will be mounted on a Gen5 Glock34 Mos. Thanks for affirming my choice. Be safe man.
I purchased this sight in September of 2021 based in part on your review. In November of 2022 I finally got around to sighting it in. The adjustment screws move the dot. I contacted Holosun and a tech had me try a few things. Nothing worked. Holosun sent me a return label, I sent it to them. 12 days later I recieved a brand new replacement. All this at no cost, 14 months after the original purchase, and after me volunteering that I may have broken it myself. How do you beat that for service?
Very high quality video. Keep it up. It's nice to see that they give you reticle options. I was going to go for the RomeoZero but this one seems a lot better.
I had a Romeo zero and I was quite disappointed. The lens scratched pretty bad on the first cleaning (microfiber q tips, alcohol, lens cloth,) so I sent it back and got a new one and it scratched again so i got the 507k. There’s no comparison. The Romeo feels cheap and adjusting the brightness is a pain in the ass. The extra $100-150 for the holosun is wellllll worth it. I also purchased the Swampfox Sentinel because I couldn’t fin the 407k or 507k and I was quite happy with that one as well. It has glass so it doesn’t scratch and adjusting the brightness is easy. My only two problems is you can’t lock the brightness like the holosun. So when I was carrying it all day I would get home and it would either be too dim or too bright. The holosuns you can lock it so if you press the buttons it won’t change the brightness. And it doesn’t have the rear sight notch since you have to take the rear sight off the p365xl.
First use an air duster, then clean water like distilled water. Their instructions say “not to use regular alcohol” when cleaning the Holosun lens! Doubled checked and suggested the Zeiss cleaning solution or distilled water. There is some bonding sealant around edges that can be damaged with alcohol or other chemicals.
Excellent, excellent, excellent review! Very thorough, very specific on every feature and points out what might be a bit of an issue for some even though it wasn’t for him. Great review!!!!
@@BrandonArent I will look at the names again when I get home. I was able to get 1 owb and 1 iwb that holds that tar 6 and 507. But I had to wait 5 weeks for the custom order. To be delivered.
Best review on this Optic yet. Thanks I actually picked up this one last night the original one with the large side buttons. Very happy I went this way.
Thank you for a great review, you covered the points needed for a potential buyer of this optic. Thank you for an eloquent, and informative video that speaks to shooters.
Super informative video! My aging eyes are telling me to get an optic for my pistol. Unfortunately, I will need a new gun for this. I will be checking out the 365 XL and the Holosun 507K.
For the 365xl, take slide off after unloading the pistol of course, remove the screws holding rear sight on then the 507k will mount from the top with the provided screws . I will say I didn't think it was gonna work because it takes a larger size screw than what holds the factory sight on. Really simple to mount. Just got mine and working on sighting it in
FINALLY, someone that actually shows the sight on the gun
Exactly my though lolol

I appreciate your calmness and expert advice. I have a Glock 43 first gen so I need a little mill work done to the slide for the optic to fit correctly. Getting the optic and mill work done cost about 530$ altogether and I have to wait 3 weeks to get my slide back. I ordered mine from the Glock store. Only thing I would say you left out is how your gun fits in the holster or pocket with this optic. Ive watched 5 videos now on this product so far you are the calmest of them all.
1st time wacthing, and you are good, iam gonna make that purchase along with subscribing to your channel 👍🏽
This convinced me to pull the trigger on this red dot for my Sig P365. Thanks for the thorough review!
Very timely and helpful since I just surrendered to the Sig P326 X Macro.
Sorry - P365. Little dyslexia there.
Very high quality video. Keep it up. It's nice to see that they give you reticle options. I was going to go for the RomeoZero but this one seems a lot better.
Thank you very much! I’d have to agree. I have two zero’s and I’d say they’ll work in a pinch. But I prefer this one.
Romeo zero is junk. 507k is the way to go! You won’t regret it
First use an air duster, then clean water like distilled water. Their instructions say “not to use regular alcohol” when cleaning the Holosun lens! Doubled checked and suggested the Zeiss cleaning solution or distilled water. There is some bonding sealant around edges that can be damaged with alcohol or other chemicals.
The blue tint is a good thing and has a purpose. Excellent review.
Great production. Love the overhead shots.
Excellent, excellent, excellent review! Very thorough, very specific on every feature and points out what might be a bit of an issue for some even though it wasn’t for him. Great review!!!!
Hmmm... just ordered the hs507c-v2. Hoping I like it as well as you like this one! Thanks for the review!
I love mine, in green
You’ll love the 507C as well. I’ve been shooting one them the most. Love it! Has all the same features.
Good stuff as always Bro!! Will it fit on the macro??
Great review. I'll be ordering a 507k for my Shield Plus. Thanks for the info.
I set up my 365 xl exactly the same. 507k and tlr6. Great vid.
Thank you so much. I love mine
What iwb holsters are available for that setup?
@@BrandonArent I will look at the names again when I get home. I was able to get 1 owb and 1 iwb that holds that tar 6 and 507. But I had to wait 5 weeks for the custom order. To be delivered.
Brandon Arent CandG holsters made the OWB. Iwb I'll have to dig out of the safe another time.
Best review on this Optic yet. Thanks I actually picked up this one last night the original one with the large side buttons. Very happy I went this way.
Fantastic review. Thank you for challenging the reticle and sharing the info.
Thank you for a great review, you covered the points needed for a potential buyer of this optic. Thank you for an eloquent, and informative video that speaks to shooters.
Excellent review. Hitting 50% of the points everyone else somehow misses.
Super informative video! My aging eyes are telling me to get an optic for my pistol. Unfortunately, I will need a new gun for this. I will be checking out the 365 XL and the Holosun 507K.
great stuff man, just got my 597kx2 for 212 shipped and am excited to try it out. Sub all day!
Awesome introduction to the Holosun Red dot 🔴 507. Definitely gave me a lot of information to peak my interest. Great job Ken as always!
Great video. I've subscribed. Don't know if you mentioned which plate/footprint it needs for mounting?
For the 365xl, take slide off after unloading the pistol of course, remove the screws holding rear sight on then the 507k will mount from the top with the provided screws . I will say I didn't think it was gonna work because it takes a larger size screw than what holds the factory sight on. Really simple to mount. Just got mine and working on sighting it in
Great review. Thorough and concise.
Great video Sir, just purchased one today for my new Hellcat Pro.
Great video bud! Is that a direct mount or do you need to add a plate before mounting? Plus which light did you use on the rail? Thanks!!
Exactly the review I was looking for and you addressed the questions I had. Thank you!
How do I go shooting with Ken?? HOW?!?
Love this guy.
Excellent review! Picked up a new subscriber from this video, well done man.
Awesome video high production values. Best review of the optic on RUclips. Thank you for your hard work you have a new subscriber.
