Still waiting on my form 4 but I have had the opportunity to put some rounds down range with my can at the gun shops indoor range. It's sweet, indoor ranges suck though.
Have you considered running a string/ tape around the can so you can pull the sting once attached to the threads and have it attach quicker? I’ve seen vids of competition shooters doing this.
You can use standard sulencers or chose another concept: LIMEX MKD44 for Glock 44. Very interesting solution and you could leave it on in your holster?
Please make USP holsters. I have a 9mm, 40 and 45 tactical and would love your holsters for them. I would really like one for my .45 tactical so i can run the suppressor attachment for my can with it. IMHO it is the best host gun.
I want to buy one to go with a g19 with TRL but I can’t bundle them on the website? I know it’s April fools but I actually want to buy this I have a use case for it
The only time I carry a suppressed handgun is with the suppressor already attached in an OWB holster. It even accommodates my Modlite PL-350, something that a lot of holsters aren't compatible with.
Got a full size 9mm pistol can first, followed by a .22 and .45 can second and then a lot more cans later - i have no regrets. Shooting subs the 9mm was great fun as a first can and I really enjoyed it. The .22 even more so. But i guess from a practical training perspective a rifle can may be better, probably a .30cal that works on multiple platforms and later add a .223. But from a fun perspective the pistol cans were a great buy in my opinion. I now have several rifle cans and don’t shoot pistol cans as often anymore and when I do, it is usually my .22 Ruger mk2 or a 9mm K can, as I agree that they are better than full size for general use if maximum noise suppression isn’t the goal. 9mm with 147gr subs is pretty darn quiet and has far less blowback to the face than 115gr. Not sure why everyone says 9mm is a bad pistol round to suppress like subs don’t exist.
It would be awesome if you could review different types of ammo for different use cases. For example EHP vs normal HP. Or what the grain weights are useful.
Shooting with a can on a pistol is nice but the awkward weight shift and reliability issues aren't worth dedicating money to a purely pistol can. Getting larger caliber cans (ie 9 & 45), especially with changeable endcaps, is a good buy for first time suppressor owners. Get a 9mm can and swap between the pistol piston/direct thread/QD mount and run it on everything you own up to 9mm bore.
Ive actually been waiting for this for a couple years now i think, for you know.... reasons. But being a lefty screws me yet again. Guess I'll just have to continue storing the can in my prison pocket.
I don’t plan on carrying a suppressor with me, but this might work as a better carry setup for my wife’s “personal massager”, the current carry method I use is kind of a pain in the ass.
While we're here, I'm looking for guidance on 300 blk suppressors fit for a 5.5 in and 9 in barrel. I'm willing to have 2 dedicated suppressors if that mattered. The little guy is primarily for HD. The longer is more of a MK18 type use case. I'd prefer full auto rated for the linger gun, even though it's not really a factor.
If you are thoughtful in your setup and purchases, you can get a system that is optimized to be quiet and still reliable. You don't have to go super nerd tuning mode to do it, you just have to be smart in the system you put together - host, suppressor, spring rate, ammunition, etc. Glocks are "overgassed" if that makes sense. The lockup of the action is less secure/tight than guns such as the 1911, CZ75, P30L etc. A tighter lockup is beneficial in the case of suppressing a handgun because it resists to higher back pressure of adding a suppressor, sort of like lengthening the gas system on an AR or adding a buffer weight/stronger spring. Glocks and other clones tend unlock so early that the slide out runs the magazine if using a high backpressure suppressor, that's why K cans run better on glocks - less backpressure which doesn't speed up the slide enough to cause as much timing issues. Using a lower backpressure suppressor like the huxwrx would help, or going shorter in general, but as stated does make it louder, which is fairly lame. You can also slow down your slide by putting in a stronger action spring. Guns that come "suppressor ready" often already have the correct spring rate in them. Adding weight to the slide like optics helps this issue also, like a buffer weight would. Another phenomenon is the tilting barrel action, the inertial decoupler (piston) temporarily separates (decouples) the inertia of the barrel tilting during unlock from the suppressor itself. The suppressor sort of sits in mid air while the barrel tilts rearward. The piston is required because too much weight on the end of the barrel would prevent the unlocking/tilting process from happening. Lighter weight suppressors actually reduces the negative effect of this significantly and often run much more reliably on any gun. Both of my pistol cans are CGS and they are aluminum bodies with steel blast baffles. I have significantly fewer malfunctions and most of the time i believe they are caused by shooter error. I know that sounds scary to folks, but with pistols specifically, you really don't need an overbuilt all steel suppressor (omega 9k). You are going to be happier with either an all titanium suppressor or an aluminum suppressor with a steel blast baffle. The light weight will effect the way your gun feels to handle as well as make it more likely to cycle reliably. In most cases, you're buying it because you want it to be quiet, you don't have to pretend like you like having a loud suppressor. So think about it carefully and consider what host you are using and don't put sound to low on your totem poll. You'll be happier if you don't.
If your suppressor lacks a qd option for a handgun look up the tape attachment method. Run a loop of tape around the can as you remove it from the firearm. Leave a tail at the end after wrapping the can for as many revolutions as it takes to remove. Then line up the first thread and yank on the tape tail. It will thread it on for you quickly
@@TREXARMS yeah it is definitely a bit of pain to setup, but it gives you the advantages of direct thread while speeding up attachment. I'd prefer to spend the time getting things ready ahead of time, rather than taking a long time when I need it.
Seeing as my first suppressor was a Maxim9, I'm inclined to agree with half of Lucus' advice. If I could go back and restart id buy a rifle rated 36 cal can so I can have a low-back-pressure rifle can and a heavy but useable pistol can (for 9mm and below), then buy a 22 can, then a 30 cal rifle can, then a dedicated pistol can.
One would think you'd carry the suppressor next to your wee-wee to… ehem, do the male version of high heels! (and to not compromise on an extra mag). But my opinion don't count as if I could I'd carry a Beretta Px4 Storm and you can't put a can on that (and I'm Argentinian so can't have guns here period)
Any recommendations for the best threaded left hand twist barrel for a Glock 19? I always prefer oem but from what Ive seen the G19 oem barrels only come in RH. Thank you.
I would imagine that's what he means. Still doesn't negate the fact that you still get blowback through the backplate, while with other pistols you will not.
@funktron2021 interesting.... I've never experienced that.. but I only shoot hand loads with very fast burning powder. I've had blow back out and particles come out of the ejection port however.

2 questions, how do you defeat the heat from the can, and 2. can the larger suppressor accommodate a can of red bull?
This is definitely on brand for Lucas’ dry humor
I don’t plan on carrying a suppressor with me, but this might work as a better carry setup for my wife’s “personal massager”, the current carry method I use is kind of a pain in the ass.
almost lost me, but then you had me
While we're here, I'm looking for guidance on 300 blk suppressors fit for a 5.5 in and 9 in barrel. I'm willing to have 2 dedicated suppressors if that mattered. The little guy is primarily for HD. The longer is more of a MK18 type use case. I'd prefer full auto rated for the linger gun, even though it's not really a factor.
so u need an entire lefty barrel or an adaptor? also didnt know the round touched the surpressor the way it does the barrel....
It would be nice if you guys made a holster for the Walther PDP, pro SD compact
be sure to emai them, they track requests
I want to attend Trex Arms school of cinematography!
It’s nice to see your home pistol has a suppressor that actually suppresses Lol I know it’s not perfect but you’ll be able to hear afterwards 🤷♂️👍
While that works, it sucks to set up every time.
@@TREXARMS yeah it is definitely a bit of pain to setup, but it gives you the advantages of direct thread while speeding up attachment. I'd prefer to spend the time getting things ready ahead of time, rather than taking a long time when I need it.
22LR can on a bolty boy. That’s the real Pewshhh pewshhh.
Make it an integrated suppressed barrel and ooooooomaaaaynnee.
Came looking for “is that a suppressor in you pocket or are you just happy to see me?” comments. Guess I’m a bit early to the chat 😂😂😂
I really struggle to get over Lucas' childish ego but I can't deny the content he and TREX produce. . . Godspeed.
My guess is his delayed adolescence resulted from a difficult childhood.
@@82stuntman do you think daddy touched the no no?
Can you elaborate on his childish ego? I’ve not noticed that and am curious to see what I’m missing
Not gonna lie, i was really hoping to see an ironside reign can holster. This is cooler though.
Suppressors are really becoming the norm now, I see them at the gun range all the time
It would be pretty cool to see this in a movie like John Wick 5 or something
Thoughts on tri-lug adapters for pistols?
Lucas is the kind of guy that shows up at 7-11 & Demands Starbucks quality Coffee! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ran a VP9 Tactical with a Ryder9 Ti2 and got a baffle strike. Pistol suppressors still need a lot of improving
Could the sidecar grenade attachment be next?
Will you guys ever make a duty holster for patrol officers.
My Staccato C2 and VP9 are two of the best host guns I've ran.
“Not Hollywood Quiet” my .22 w/ suppressor would like a word
One would think you'd carry the suppressor next to your wee-wee to… ehem, do the male version of high heels! (and to not compromise on an extra mag).
But my opinion don't count as if I could I'd carry a Beretta Px4 Storm and you can't put a can on that (and I'm Argentinian so can't have guns here period)
Any recommendations for the best threaded left hand twist barrel for a Glock 19? I always prefer oem but from what Ive seen the G19 oem barrels only come in RH. Thank you.
Would anyone know what the song is in the background around the 7:40 area
I thought that's what the tq holder was for
Can I flip the suppressor holster upside down to conceal my tip from protruding out of my belt?
Do these guys know about the duct tape quick attach system? Cause they look like they need it.
Yes, and it sucks to set up constantly lol
In my experience with suppressing 9mm, the 124 grain stuff is the best balance of cost, felt recoil, and sound.
So glad I got muh EZ locks ordered before this released.
Glock 21 is actually one of the best 45 suppressor hosts, I think he means the 9 mm caliber being not as tolerant of different suppressor designs.
@@adyszel I personally wouldn't know. I don't use suppressors on any browning actions. I only use them on non tilting barrels.
