EXACTLY why I will buy from TRex Arms. You guys are great at showing your product. Showing how it’s used. And explaining what is different compared to your old one.
I modified and put a mono block on my old raptor. it was an x300 version and i actually use it to carry an 1911 with the light with a small amount of dremeling to accommodate the safety. Used it for years. Glad to see an updated model.
I'll say it, the Sidecar 1.0 is the best appendix holster ever made. I have several as well as the O.G. Raptor, they're awesome. I also have a Sidecar 2.0 for my 320. It's a great holster, but the 1.0 with my MR920 gets carried the most. Great company, great products. 🙏🇺🇲
As an avid 3-4 o'clock carrier with the side car, it works great. Super comfortable, very concealable (Glock 48 MOS with a TLR-7 Sub). Love to see the continued development, but I love having my accessory option (usually a CAT TQ).
Just got mine today for my 19 with the TLR7A. By far the best 12-clock AIWB holster I've owned. After a retention adjustment and the T1C XL foam wedge, I barely even feel that it is there. I can feel my IWB dual mag carrier more than it. Worth the price and wait, which was roughly a week.
Good job being clear for which holster is intended for what - Sidecar for appendix, Raptor for 3/4 o'clock, etc. Thanks for the clarity and great products!
This holster is easily used for AIWB. The pamphlet that comes with it says can be used from 12-1 o'clock position. I've been wearing my Raptor 2.0 all day at the 12 and it's fantastic.
It will be money well spent. After a few adjustments of the retention and moving the claw to the back, it is perfect. Even at the deepest concealment height, I can still get a full purchase. Couldn't do that with my other two holsters.
I ordered one of these weeks ago for my gen5 G19, probably the 4th I’ve had made for it. This one is the best, by far! Now, I’m looking forward to ya’ll making me one of these for my Sig P229 Legion…
As a new owner of a raptor 2.0 holster I’d like to make one suggestion. I’m a right handed shooter and I carry this holster about one inch off to the right of my belt buckle. I’m 5’11” 165lbs and the holster digs into my right thigh when I sit or bend over. I carry a g26 with no light. I had to trim the bottom corner of the holster under the right belt clip in order to fix this. I think it would be easily remedied from your factory and there would be zero downside to making that change. Other than that it conceals and carry’s very good.
I have an original raptor for a P365. It’s by far the most uncomfortable holster I’ve ever owned. I’m glad to see you guys have made some changes to it.
Hey T.Rex friends… the backer needs to cover the rear of the slide of the gun. Your backer is great but the gun isn’t covered on the Ironside version. Don’t make that mistake in this version.
@@ballisticbeard7 yeah that’s what they said when I called them. There’s literally no point to their backer. AlienGear makes excellent backer. Never had draw issues. Don’t reccommend their half shell holsters and stopped carrying it a long time ago. I actually took their backers and glued to one of my T Rex holsters. No draw issues. And I did practice.
I wish you guys had come out with this years ago. I was angling for a Raptor when you replaced it with the Sidecar 2.0. I like it, but sometimes it's a bit much for what I use it for.
I have two old t-rex holsters from maybe 2017 or 2018 and I was frankly not impressed with them. I think they had a lot of kinks to work out. The first generation sidecar was really uncomfortable, and the early raptor holster had a terrible fomi clip and didn’t conceal well. I’m glad to see your company continually improve. This holster looks much better. I would probably buy one if I were in the market right now.
Really bummed there isn't any support for the 43x with the Surefire XSC. It is understandable from a business standpoint, but on the consumer side of things gotta say it is a big bummer. You guys are the best!
The original raptor was my favorite holster for several pistols, so I’m glad to see a new iteration of it. I also have a sidecar, but don’t care for it.
I still carry the original raptor and it’s great. One think you guys should work on is improving the claw to be more comfortable or a little different so it doesn’t poke lower
I predict that this may sell better than the current Sidecar. Most folks don't need or want the spare mag/tourniquet/handcuff option and the price point is a more approachable. I own a Sidecar, but I may still pick one of these up.
I've been carrying the iron side with the hybrid backed awb. I didn't think they'd make this with the backer too. But hell it still works very well for me
If carrying 3/4 o’clock IWB which is a better option, the ironside hybrid or a raptor hybrid for concealability? Also, please make a concealed carry holster for the Springfield XDS. I know they’re discontinuing them but the other holster options suck.
Yes I do. Because I have one and it’s a great gun. It was on the market forever and they sold more than a few. Also, T.Rex makes holsters for other discontinued guns
@@Dusther210how about you ditch that gun and get something else. You will get straight roasted if anyone sees you with that pistol and are seriously saying it’s a good gun lol.
Why spend $600+ on a gun plus magazines and holsters when I just want to spend $70 on a new holster? I’ve been using an XD and XDS for work for years and I have no issues with either. I like them. I also like T.Rex products. I have the Sidecar and Ragnarok for my XD but they just don’t have a holster for the XDS.
I have swapped out all plastic clips for those monoblocks from DCC, holsters i wanted to trash became favorites overnight, my P-01 prints less and carries better than my 365x all with a clip change! they are soooo underrated and im guilty of looking at it just as a "clip" as well! recycle the plastic lol, go all steel for all holsters!
I have a few, and Safariland duty holsters seem very reasonably priced for what you get. They’re multiple layers thick, nearly indestructible (not literally, but compared to normal holsters), and have “industry leading” retention hardware. Their ALS system alone is worth the price of admission. (I just wish they liked H&K more, but neither does T.Rex.)
Recently thought about getting a summer carry set up with a 43x and a holster only load out Currently I run a Glock 45 with an X300 and RMR in a sidecar and I love it but if I feel like going light on clothing it's just jot always the easiest to conceal lol
I have multiple holsters that fit most or all of them, some with lights, some without. 100% provable. But the only replies from TRex is, “that won’t work, they don’t fit.” They absolutely do. I should make a video and send it to them but I don’t know if they’d be interested.
It'd be nice if you say you have scans of guns that you would expand the amount of guns that are compatible with your holsters. I had a sidecar for my cz (that was stolen) and I replaced it with a px4 and you guys don't support that gun in any holster configuration
Hey guys this may be a dumb question but with light retaining versions of the new raptor say i order a g17 length one with a surefire 300 light and it retains to the light could it be used like a msp style holster aslong as the guns slide isnt way out of the normal glock shape? I just noticed the holster mock Up didnt switch shape when i switched brands and models just the length switched when the lights are added to the mock up or if threaded barrel coverage was selected. Love your work!
Can we get the raptor backer option for the sidecar? I sweat a lot in TX and need either the backer or perhaps a higher sweat guard so I don’t sweat all over my slide
I’d really like to have this holster but the only thing that keeps me away from buying trex arms is that they don’t offer many different light options.
Can you make some of these for some older models? Everyone makes a holster for glock and 2.0 and PDP. There are so many good guns that aren’t even that old that need holster upgrades. (cough cough m&p9C 1.0)
Why did you originally get rid of the raptor When you put out the sidecar? I don’t know if I understand getting rid of the raptor just to bring it back when I’m sure people said the sidecar was too big.
You’d want the Sidecar. That’s why I don’t wear those belts even though they’re great. Most guys run the buckle on the side, which I find pretty uncomfortable. I ended up going with a super-flat G-Hook belt (from Volund Gearworks but I’m sure lots of places make them), just to wear appendix without having to try to stuff a belt buckle between two clips that are nowhere near far enough apart to do it.
How about installing ALL the clips for MAXIMUM CLIPPING STABILITY!
That will really hold it to the belt that you are holding up with suspenders!

Hey T.Rex friends… the backer needs to cover the rear of the slide of the gun. Your backer is great but the gun isn’t covered on the Ironside version. Don’t make that mistake in this version.
The problem with that is if you have excess backer material it can interfere with holstering the gun while wearing it.
