Edit: if you ever want to P Rank Minos Prime (You dont have to P rank him to unlock P-2) I recommend using the default marksman since the split shot can take out multiple of the healing eyes at a time. Also most of his attacks can be parried at the end, you can tell depending on if they flash yellow. If they flash blue they are unparriable. He also shouts out every attack name, the end of 'PREPARE THYSELF!' 'THY END IS NOW!' and 'JUDGMENT!' are parriable. Also try not to stay in the air, he'll usually upper cut then use 'DIE!'. Also, when Minos reaches half health he can do attacks as much as he wants without breaks, on violent difficulty atleast. Edit 2: Quick lore dump. After God disappeared Minos began a renaissance in the lust layer since he believed eternal pain for loving each other was cruel. He built entire cities. The heavenly council caught on and sent Gabriel to assassinate Minos. Minos has so much shear will he manifested into a prime soul, a being who's soul has enough will to lack a shell. He wished to kill V1 then the council to save the last of humanity however, he failed. Minos' theme 'ORDER' has leitmotifs to the lust city's theme 'Requiem' showing how Minos cared more about his people than himself.
also, you don't need to punch in order to restore health, quick switching shotguns in order to cancel the pump animation work far better and give +QUICKDRAW stylepoints or green nailgun (only if you have the alt fire ready) all these things make the finger your using for melee free for when you need to parry (also helps avoid carpal tunnel).
I'd recommend also learning how to core nuke, as it can get rid of a majority of the eyes, if not all of them, if done right. firing off a core from the blue shotgun then using the red railcannon on the core creates a huge red explosion that will insta kill the eyes in the radius of it, which is incredibly useful for dealing with the flesh prison.
Tip on the blue saw gun: the saws go AROUND the magnet. For bosses, shoot the magnets in the floor to maximize damage (especially when paired with the green saw gun)
Quick tip: the saws of the blue saw gun do zero damage to enemy if you stick a magnet to them. Best way to use it in a boss fight is to stick a magnet to the floor and wait for the boss to walk into the trap, you're better off using the regular nail gun especially in your first try. Also shooting an enemy with the blue rail cannon after you stick a magnet to them does a bit more damage
Im not *that* good at ultrakill, (only 52 hours so far) but heres some tips ive used alot: (you can skip 2, unless you want to do p-1 again) 1. Before a boss fight starts, you can set up either rockets using the freezeframe rocket launcher OR throw some coins into the air, swap to the alt piercer and use its right click attack when the boss spawns. This gets a fair chunk of damage in for both strats. 2. (this is mainly for p-1) In the Flesh Prison fight, you can use a nuke to wipe out most of the eyeballs easily (A nuke is where you use the core eject shotgun, then hit the alt fire projectile with the red railgun) and for the Minos Prime fight, he calls out most of his attacks. "Die" is unparriable, and pretty much means hes going to slam into you, similar to Crush. "Prepare thyself" is partially parriable, as Minos will initiate a 3 hit combo into that golden snake thing. Parrying the snake gives you a ton of health, so this attack is amazing if you are low health because the main attack is easy to dodge if you slide or dash. "Thy end is now" is similar to prepare thyself, as it uses a 4 hit combo with the last one being parryable. "Crush" is very similar to Die, but it only happens when you are below an airborne Minos. "Judgement" means Minos is going to dropkick you, although it is parryable, with a shockwave right after. Dashing after parrying is a good way to avoid the shock wave. "WEAK" just means Minos is entering his second phase. Also, stay on the ground. 3. With crowds of low health enemies (i.e filth) you can use the sawblade gun to get amazing amounts of style points if you use the magnet right. Make sure your in the air doing this, just to get alot more style. 4. Malicous faces/Maurice can be instakill by doing a chargeback, where you line up the beam attack to hit your coin. Another good way of dealing with them is to shotgun swap with the knuckleblaster. 5. (for p ranking 6-1) You need to kill the enemies that are spawned from the blood orb located above the final hallway, before Gabriel says "Come to me". 6. This is more of a fun fact, but you can kill the first V2 encounter before the health bar appears by coin punching.

As an experienced ultrakill player, I must say you are surprisingly good. I knew about p-1 and its contents before I even played it, and even then, I ended up watching a guide on how to defeat the boss because of how frustrated I would get. The fact that you went into this completely blind with almost no help from anyone makes you better than most people in the community. I could do an hour-long lecture explaining all of Minos Prime's attacks and how to counter them, as well as the Flesh Prison, but I can simplify it down to a few fundamental concepts, if you ever consider playing this level again. 1. You can avoid taking damage from Minos' "Die!" attack by simply dashing to the side and jumping. 2. When you see that yellow flash right before an enemies attack, that means it can be parried (this applies to every enemy with a parriable attack) 3. "Prepare thyself" and "Thy end is now!" can be dodged by sliding to the left continuously. You actually used to be able to just walk backwards and he couldn't hit you, but it got buffed somehow. When it comes to any bossfight, I would recommend practicing their move set and parry windows before trying to use all your weapons on them. Parrying is vital for Prime Sanctums. You can actually spawn any boss into the sandbox after encountering them once. The box is a great way to practice a boss or a new weapon. Hope that helps!
Another thing to add, whenever you use the sawblade launcher, put the magnet on the ground and guide your enemy into the blades. putting the magnet on the enemy will just make the saws spiral around the enemy and won't do anything.

Now I'm not really used to hearing anything that he says during battle since I'd rather use my reflexes, but the moment he disappears from your screen (teleporting ontop of you) he will drop on you in about 0.75 seconds or so with that shockwave. To avoid it, sinply dash yourself out with good timing, The 0.2 seconds of invincibility that the dash gives you might help with dodging the shockwave but I'd suggest doing 2 dashes if you're not familiar with it. Throughout the battle he will relase a homing snake projectile that's very hard to get rid of without a parry. Whenever he's about to release it, you'll hear a distinctive *shzz* sound (and some white rings around him). There's a blue explosion type of kick that he does that you can parry but I usually dodge it out of instinct. Absolutely avoid being on the air for too long cuz that's when you're most vulnerable to his attacks. The Flesh Prison is kind of a pain to deal with, especially it's eyes. The quickest way to get rid of them is by doing the nuke technique which consists of the player doing core eject (blue shotgun's altfire) at max distance and shoot the core with the red railcannon. Since it releases a black hole every once a while, circling around is also the appropriate technique to avoid it. When it shoots out multiple homing proj's, you should parry as much of them as possible while aiming directly at the Prison. Remember to target the eyes first if you failed the nuke tech or it haven't charged up yet. Have fun trying to P rank this level! P.S : Try stacking up your sawblades and coins as much as possible when Minos does his intro, would help a lot with damage.

@@Tusk By the way switch your slab marksman with default and piercer to slab because default marksman shoots way faster which means you can shoot more coins unlike slab which is slower. congrats on the hardest challenge so far. the second minos sees you in the air he just immediatly changes for ariel combos, which is why die gets spammed so much lmao.
but not doing it means he might not find them in the playthrough. a good middle ground is to tell him the locations but not what the secrets are which luckily most ppl are doing
Fun fact!! in 1-4 Claur de Lune at the door where you need to get the 3 skulls you can just break the glass above the door to get into the boss room quickly
remember that the terminals (the ones at the start of levels and before bosses) have strategies for enemies if you scroll past the lore. it can really help if your struggling with a boss (i can confirm). but if you dont want to its fine, its just an option if you want it.
Small tip for trying to p-rank both gabriel fights (and likely the third when that comes out) but he takes slightly extra damage from the nailgun, not a gamebreaking amount, but extra enough to help take him down quicker
My favorite boss of all time, I just love how cinematic it is, as well as the fact that he is so unbearably difficult unless you know his patterns and how he works. Hakita really cooked with him, but if you thought that was hard, P-2 is gonna beat you into 2034
i would recommend rebinding the knuckleblaster (red arm) to G and the feedbacker (blue arm) to F so that you won't get caught by the ultrakillers when accidentally using the wrong arm
i'm sure others have mentioned this btw, but while you're p-ranking act 2, consider jumping over to 7-2 and finding some slabs a la 1-4 to get that final alt weapon you're missing 👀it's my personal fav weapon in the game
Try double tapping tab on your keyboard to show the stats, like time, style, and kills. It helps so that you know when you have or haven’t P-ranked a level
JUDGEMENT: kick with explosion DIE!/CRUSH: slam PREPARE THYSELF: charges forward twice, summons the flying snake thing THY END IS NOW: charges forward 3 timss, you can parry the last one and then two attacks that have no voiceline, teleports behind you and slams and just summoning the snake if he manages to punch you during PREPARE THYSELF/THY END IS NOW he will cancel the remainder of the attack and just uppercut you

Quick tip: use the alternate overhea tsawblade launcher instead of the normal nailgun and put a magnet on the ground and use that as a healing instead of shooting the magnet to minos
A tip on P-Ranking 4-4 (It still should be easy) use the room that has the blue skull as a shortcut. There is also a secret weapon in 7-2 (I forgot how to get it though)
You have to be really quick with yellow hook point areas and click three things like in limbo with the revolver alt then it's in a hole in the ceiling of the train station
I would say that P-1 is where boys become men but that isn't true its where men become femboys. I P ranked every single level in ULTRAKILL and now I own many pairs of thigh high socks and wear skirts. This is a known effect of ULTRAKILL.

btw, you can double tap TAB to open the speedrun menu, good for P ranking btw (also a quick tip: if your at gabriel and he does the attack where he lunges down, dash after the noparry sound and i wanna see you P rank act 2 cuz hehe :3) another fun fact: the eyes have 1 hp, so theyre essentially a filth 2x (let me clutch up with another tip: dont try to parry unparriable attacks, since Minos doesnt have a frame for parrying, so only the yellow ones are parriable)
congrats on the hardest challenge so far. the second minos sees you in the air he just immediatly changes for ariel combos, which is why die gets spammed so much lmao.
Telling Tusk the secrets takes away all the fun of finding them on his own.
but not doing it means he might not find them in the playthrough. a good middle ground is to tell him the locations but not what the secrets are which luckily most ppl are doing
Fun fact!! in 1-4 Claur de Lune at the door where you need to get the 3 skulls you can just break the glass above the door to get into the boss room quickly

remember that the terminals (the ones at the start of levels and before bosses) have strategies for enemies if you scroll past the lore. it can really help if your struggling with a boss (i can confirm). but if you dont want to its fine, its just an option if you want it.
Small tip for trying to p-rank both gabriel fights (and likely the third when that comes out) but he takes slightly extra damage from the nailgun, not a gamebreaking amount, but extra enough to help take him down quicker
My favorite boss of all time, I just love how cinematic it is, as well as the fact that he is so unbearably difficult unless you know his patterns and how he works. Hakita really cooked with him, but if you thought that was hard, P-2 is gonna beat you into 2034

i would recommend rebinding the knuckleblaster (red arm) to G and the feedbacker (blue arm) to F so that you won't get caught by the ultrakillers when accidentally using the wrong arm
i'm sure others have mentioned this btw, but while you're p-ranking act 2, consider jumping over to 7-2 and finding some slabs a la 1-4 to get that final alt weapon you're missing 👀it's my personal fav weapon in the game
You should probably buy the drill railcannon (the green one)
it is pretty good for getting blood and regenerating.

PREPARE THYSELF: charges forward twice, summons the flying snake thing
THY END IS NOW: charges forward 3 timss, you can parry the last one
and then two attacks that have no voiceline, teleports behind you and slams and just summoning the snake
if he manages to punch you during PREPARE THYSELF/THY END IS NOW he will cancel the remainder of the attack and just uppercut you

Quick tip: use the alternate overhea tsawblade launcher instead of the normal nailgun and put a magnet on the ground and use that as a healing instead of shooting the magnet to minos

A tip on P-Ranking 4-4 (It still should be easy) use the room that has the blue skull as a shortcut.
There is also a secret weapon in 7-2 (I forgot how to get it though)
You have to be really quick with yellow hook point areas and click three things like in limbo with the revolver alt then it's in a hole in the ceiling of the train station

I would say that P-1 is where boys become men but that isn't true its where men become femboys. I P ranked every single level in ULTRAKILL and now I own many pairs of thigh high socks and wear skirts. This is a known effect of ULTRAKILL.
tip: using the piercers charge move on coins does significantly more damage than railcoins!
Better use malicious railgun + core eject shotgun, for kill eyes of flesh prison
btw you can shoot the window before the first v2 fight and skip the skulls

If you press tab twice quickly it will display your rank as you play a level
at the flesh prison, theres an easy way on how to kill them u just gotta hold right click with the blue shotgun and u throw it then immediatly pull out the red railgun and shoot the bomb u threw thats called a nuke
