I can't tell you how much I love you guys and your music. It helped me through getting shot 3 times in August of 2023 and after brain surgery in July of 2022. My doctors and others often ask how I bounced back so quickly and am back trying to work full time. I tell them to listen to you and most times send them my playlist of your music. A lot of people ( us employees ) are walking around the hospital with smiles on their faces lately. Thank you and may you all forever be blessed and happy for what you do and the lives you've changed and saved, me for one.💜💜💜💜💜
I'm deaf with Ménière's disease (same disease beethoven had) so I feel very connected to him and his music. I've loved him since I was a little girl!! (Before I lost my hearing) I went several years without hearing aids, not being able to truly listen to music. When I finally got hearing aids, I listened to this song and I cried!!! I cried so much. Hearing THIS song after many years of hearing basically nothing was an experience I will forever be grateful for. This is so, SO beautiful. Thank you so much for giving me such a masterpiece to listen to! I feel so overwhelmed when I listen to this. It's amazing!!
I've listened to this song many times, but now listening to it after reading your story, when it gets past the halfway point and the volume and everything rises and it feels like a triumph, it allowed me to see this song in a new way. Thank you for sharing. I hope your hearing aids work well for you so you can continue to enjoy music.
My Mom passed early Thursday morning. I'm completely broken, please keep me in your prayers, she was my best friend, we slept in the same bed for years until when she was admitted to the hospital. One of my dear sister in the Lord sent me this song this morning, and I’m being blessed right now….perfect timing. Sis. Scott, thank you so much. My spirit is lifted…glory to God!! Love you all my
That quote by Beethoven in the beginning -- I wholeheartedly agree with it. When playing an instrument, you are making a commitment to a lifelong journey that you can't halfheartedly play every now and then, you gotta pick it up or sit down or do whatever, get out that sheet music, and practice your heart out. No song is impossible given enough practice.
this song was part of a very important moment of my childhood. I never forgot it, and looked for it for almost 10 years and today I found it. I can’t believe.
I don't think the true magic is the music but what's it's able to do... I see Italian, Russian, English, french and German comments. people from all over the world have the same emotions. I don't think that it is only the truly beautiful music but the unity and connection it makes.
Still watching this video in 2023. My absolute favorite piece from TPG. It's on my list of Songs That Make Me Weep. I think of my late husband when I listen to this. He's been gone for 18 years. He introduced me to classical music. I wish I could have shared this contemporary masterpiece with him. I'll be seeing you soon, my love. ♡
I'm just scrolling through the comments in different languages and it makes me so happy to realize music is bringing people together who speak different languages, especially now. It's really amazing. Who agrees with me?

October 18, 2019, and yes still watching. I’ve been studying for a doctor’s degree for 7 years at Hong Kong University and this song has been my only refuge in times of distress and pain. I have Asperger’s, which makes my social skills worse than that of most people and I still get bullied a bit even in university. This song has pulled me through dark moments in my life when I was in despair, self-harmed and even had suicidal thoughts. Thank you OneRepublic, and also ThePianoGuys, who have made my life worth living. Also, to people who want to suicide out there, please rethink your decision. I do not think suicide is brave or cowardly, just that you are leaving a trail of destruction behind you. Sometimes you might think that life is not worth living, or nothing in life goes along your plan, and you feel just useless, a waste of oxygen, a piece of trash in human society. Nobody cares about you, and you just want to die, leave your life behind, no more worries, no more pain. Believe me, I have experienced that before too. But please, think of all the sadness and despair you’ll leave behind in your family and friends’ hearts, and also the life you’ll be leaving behind. Think of all the good moments in your life, the happiness, the sparkles. Please, do continue living on, and be happy as your life progresses. Try to live happily, and remember that suicide is a dead end.
When this song started playing I was on the brink of tears. When I was about 9 I heard this song for the first time, and I was so inspired. My musical journey began as I set my heart on playing cello. After 5th grade I received a cello as a gift from my grandfather and I couldn't have been more happy. After my grandad passed away, I turned to the Piano Guys once again for inspiration. To this day in High School, I play the Cello alongside, alto, bari, and tenor Saxophone . I'm so happy you guys showed me that music has more power than words. Thank you so much for everything.
Amen brother. I love the sound of music, when it's difficult to explain in words how one feels, the instruments are perfect for doing that for you. keep playing your heart out bro, God bless you and your family.
10 years ago I listened to this as college student. It inspired me to try harder in life. Now I graduated college and have stable job. Comes back here every now and then as reminder to "Not only practice one's art but force one's way into its secrets."
I just saw this live last night and it was so beautiful. This has been my favorite song for a long time. Back when I was at rock-bottom and super depressed, I would turn on some music. One night, the emotions got so bad that I actually sat on the floor with the pills in my hand, and I turned on my music to at least fall asleep not feeling so alone. But this song came on and I realized, If music can be this gorgeous and uplifting, why can't life be the same way?
piano music like this is so inspiring for me, i created my piano channel when I heard music like this on piano, in an attempt to one day sound half as good as these people, it would mean the world if you showed any support on my channel but what amazing music!!
Beethoven was right. "Don't only practise your art But force your way into it's Secrets for it and knowledge can raise men to the Divine." ~Ludwig van Beethoven~
When my grandma was in hospice care, I showed her this song and she told me she wanted this to be played at her funeral. Naturally, we played this and I still nearly cry everytime I hear it :'-)
Stephen, you need to know how much this amazing arrangement means to me. I have played the piano/violin/organ my entire life and done well - but only on a academic level, not on an emotional one. But the first time i saw you perform this, the joy on your face was just so touching. I struggled for a very long time to find that joy. To feel the overwhelming presence of Heavenly Father and KNOW that as i played i was actively blessing others. I feel blessed when i watch/listen to you play. Thank you. Thank you for the joy and love of the music that you portray.
Music is a manner of communicating. :) I'm not a professional musician but I've played piano and sang since childhood. To get passionate and emotional, I think about what story and message the song is trying to convey. Is it mourning a loss? Is it romantic and loving? Basically, like in "method acting" I meditate on those emotions and feel them personally and come up with a reason why I must deliver the meaning of this song to people and let them know my story. I only say this because it might give you some ideas or inspiration to try new things while you play? Good luck. :)
I sincerely hope that the 20 and under generation will come to realize just how amazing the work that ThePianoGuys accomplish is. I hope real music comes back. -17 year old.

+xFlylyful Lol ik ging op zoek naar covers van secrets om het nummer van de reclame te vinden en na het zelf te confirmen melden mensen het hier dus ook. Goed dat ik niet de enige gek ben die zoiets op zoekt :p
There has been many nights I have just put this song on loop and just poured my heart out! I have been watching since 2016 and been to one of their concerts and I can say that these men are influential.
0:05 - the procession stands for the bride 0:10 - my best man pats me on the back, shakes my hand and gives me the nod. 0:15 - I slowly turn and look down the aisle... and feel a lump in my throat as I realise I'm about to witness the most beautiful spectacle that a man will only witness once in his life. 0:28 - the church doors slowly open, the summers' day light so blindingly floods in, I have to squint my eyes. 0:34 - an angel emerges from the light, slowly walking in hand with her father, everything seems to be in slow motion. I feel a shudder of awe as I stand in silence, tear rolling down my cheek locking eyes with my best friend, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, my wife to be. This song is going to make my wedding day. Thanks.
Then you wake up and realize it was a dream Nice comment tho made me realize I want to get married I'll be crying so much when i see the gir of my life walking down the aisle
sadly, it seems that there were 3000+ people who were somehow unable to appreciate this real work of art, this real music... i feel bad for them. this was a great find.
Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day! :)

Don't only practice you art. But force your way into its secrets. For it and knowledge can raise men to the divine. Ludwig van Beethoven. so true don't stop playing
Jelmer Ajax well that depends on what you associate this song with I must admit I don’t associate this song with many positive things considering what hand god has dealt me
As a huge OneRepublic fan, I was blown away after hearing this. Absolutely beautiful! To think I found this originally because I was searching for stuff to help my mom with a summer camp she was running. Here I am now, totally blown away and racing back to you guys. I own a copy of Uncharted, but this is something worth listening to beyond that.
October 1st 2019, yes somebody is watching. I am 64 years old. I love classical, and I also really rock out to rock and roll. Def Leppard and Jon Bon Jovi still live on. But so do The Piano Guys. Cynthia Castoro
❤️Still remember this feeling when 3.5 years ago I found it on RUclips and then realised that this song is my perfect wedding song! We used it for our wedding in 2015 while I went to the Altar😍
To be able to hear this performance is reason enough to believe there is beauty out there in the world....you might have to look far and wide but when you discover this performance the journey is well justified! I am sure that for each of the young orchestra members...being part of this production will change their lives in so many ways! Bless you all and may your journey be long and safe and fulfilled!
Listening to this beautiful arrangements again in 2021 when my whole country is in lockdown.. first heard this back 8 yrs ago..I think this is going to be my all time favourite from the piano guys.. felt so alive again during the darkest times. Take care everyone

THIS should have MORE views, like BILLIONS, this gives me the chills, I want to cry so bad and I have no idea why. Are joyful tears I guess...So majestic!
This composition brings me to tears nearly every time I watch it. And I've pulled it up over and over during the years. It's not just the music, it's the cooperation and syncing of five men... I love it. It makes me think that humans aren't always horrible. We can do amazing, beautiful things too.
I used this as my background music when i proposed to my ex girlfriend (now my wife) last Dec 19 2014. I will not forget her reaction and how she cried when i bended knees and ask her to marry me. She's my classmate since elementary, high school and college schoolmate too. That's 19 years of solid friendship! It's the most unforgettable moment of my life. :D
Vajra Obsidian generally, a proposal isn't the most physically intimate thing, which is what tends to make people uncomfortable. being uncomfortable around an emotional scene is indicative of other things.
Эта музыка вошла в серде после того как я услышала ее в произвольной программе нашей чемпионки Анечки Щербаковой. И вот теперь слушаю постоянно. Это волшебно! Спасибо!
If anyone is looking to validate that God does really exist, or that man comes from his hand, one only needs to listen to this song, it's magnificent orchestration and layering of sound. Close your eyes and let the music wash over and through you, harmonizing your inner self with the sounds and harmonic vibrations. In a world that most now believe that man is simply the result of biology and evolution, one has to ask ... what utilitarian purpose does music (or art) such as this serve man's evolutionary journey, other than to express his inner soul. Music (such as this) is to me simply Divine. Thank you for sharing!
i was actually just listening to some of your videos while doing homework, it wasn't a good idea, i ended up just laying in my room with my eyes shut taking in the music, I love you guys
when this Song was released I was still in school and in every music class, the first 15 minutes one kid would bring a song and we would listen to it and talk about it. Most kids brought pop or rap, when it was my turn, I brought this Song. My music teacher didn't know the piano guys but really liked that song and was pretty impressed, asked me how to find it on RUclips and everything 😄 still remember that day
But isn't thins song is a mash up from a quite well known Pop Rock band OneRepublic song's Secret? Even though they combine it with Beethoven's 5th Symphony, the tune of Secret still distinguishes in here. So even if they don't know this mash up version, it will be natural for them to at least recognize some tunes from Secret in here.
@@MirantiMentari4 yes it is. I think most of them recognized the Song secrets, and my teacher asked me if it was the acoustic Version of secrets by One Republic
Don't only practice your Art But Force your way into its Secrets For it and Knowledge Can raise men into the Divine -Ludwig van Beethoven Best quote ever, nearly brings tears to my eyes

Dear person reading this, I hope your day has been going well, if not, I hope it gets better :) You are an amazing person who will inspire others to do great things so keep up the hard work. Just trying to be nice on the internet, sometimes we just need such a message ! I hope this comment helped you a bit and if not, I‘m sorry :)
That's really nice of you Daniel! Thanks for your words. I think God used you to write this comment for people like me who will one day make an even greater difference in this world. God bless. Hugs from Brazil. :)
This song brings back so many memories! I remember in seventh grade I and 7 other young players got to play on stage with them and it was the coolest thing! Put some elbow grease into whatever your doing and you can achieve greatness! I believe in you!
Watching these two men as they play their musical instruments seeing the utter joy and love they have for music, makes me feel happiness and purpose somewhere in this life. Thank you so much!
Watch Ekaterina Bobrova and Dimitry Soloviev skate their long program to this song. If you want to be moved, their program will hit you right in the feels with the story they have for it.
Loved to listen to classical music since I was little still stinks my family never had the money so that I could learn to play a classical instrument. Thank you for the great sounding music!
It’s kind of beautiful that this comment section is filled with so many different languages. People all around the world are able to enjoy the same music, type wholesome comments, and have their days improved while lifting up others too.
I hope the kids in the orchestra can see and appreciate all of the passion you have for your art. I hope that some day they will be able to share that passion with you.❤
Simplesmente belíssimo ainda sou adolescente, ou criança depende do seu ponto de vista. Mas eu quero que no meu futuro eu esteja tocando todos esses instrumentos aí
“From the glow of enthusiasm, I let the melody escape. I pursue it. Breathless I catch up with it. It flies again; it disappears; it plunges into a chaos of diverse emotions. I catch it again; I seize it; I embrace it with delight.” ― Ludwig van Beethoven . . . Will

It is sad that Beethoven will never experience the emotion this performance has brought to his music through One Republic and the Piano Guys.
Maravilhosa
@Yong Hui This tune is non-sense mixed with a little bit of Beethoven paraphrase, still pretty but not sure Beethoven would like it

Some commercial in The Netherlands used this song, and I must say I'm glad they did! This is amazing!
Door Thompson/TUI, 'Simon the ogre'

There has been many nights I have just put this song on loop and just poured my heart out! I have been watching since 2016 and been to one of their concerts and I can say that these men are influential.
James Hinchfield and Sharna Burgess sent me here. LOVE this music. Good Luck on the Freestyle on Monday Night!

I could listen to this a million times over and never get over how beautiful it is
Liv Fahi
0:05 - the procession stands for the bride
0:10 - my best man pats me on the back, shakes my hand and gives me the nod.
Thanks.
Aaww this made me tear up!
Then you wake up and realize it was a dream
Nice comment tho made me realize I want to get married I'll be crying so much when i see the gir of my life walking down the aisle
The fact that Beethoven became deaf eventually and yet composed such heartfelt pieces is testimony to music being the language of the heart
sadly, it seems that there were 3000+ people who were somehow unable to appreciate this real work of art, this real music... i feel bad for them. this was a great find.
+Jerrald Mollohan probably they're JB fans...
My grandma passed away yesterday and sent me this video. Every time I hear this song I will think of her. I love you infinitely grandma.
May she rest in eternal peace, I am sending you positive energy ❤️

thank you, i really needed that. ❤️
God bless you, comforting words. You're a beautiful person

My spirit exploded listening to this...
I adore this duo. The pure happiness you see from playing makes me want to pull out my old violin and play along with them.

James and Sharna's amazing freestyle brought me here!

That's what prompted me, as well.
They make beautiful music. My sister introduced me to them and I cannot stop listening. ♡♡♡

Le Monk some of us aren't that lucky, btw. Its like seeing two people making out dirty and making surrounders uncomfortable
Vajra Obsidian generally, a proposal isn't the most physically intimate thing, which is what tends to make people uncomfortable. being uncomfortable around an emotional scene is indicative of other things.

Let's feel the greatness together!!
I fall asleep every night to Piano Guys.

when this Song was released I was still in school and in every music class, the first 15 minutes one kid would bring a song and we would listen to it and talk about it. Most kids brought pop or rap, when it was my turn, I brought this Song. My music teacher didn't know the piano guys but really liked that song and was pretty impressed, asked me how to find it on RUclips and everything 😄 still remember that day
I cannot like this comment enough! :-)
You definitely have a better taste in music than most of your classmates in that class.
Your teacher probably thought a quiet... "THANK YOU!"

This version has me actually crying. Even the most hardened of Hearts can at times "feel".

Loved to listen to classical music since I was little still stinks my family never had the money so that I could learn to play a classical instrument. Thank you for the great sounding music!
You can always learn it later in life! My grandfather (now deceased) learned how to play the piano at age 86.
Fancy Moose Thats very inspiring. I hope to learn the Cello eventually.
I catch it again; I seize it; I embrace it with delight.” ― Ludwig van Beethoven
