Casper the white male lion taking care of the Satara lion cubs in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
The Satara lion pride welcomed 3 new cubs last year November. Over the last few weeks Casper the white lion assumed the protector role. He is often seen alone with the cubs or in the company of the mother and 3 cubs. With Casanova and Footloose of the Shishangaan coalition usually patrolling the nearby territory. Mfowethu sustained an injury last year October/November so he is often spotted alone and condition seems to be on a slow decline. He still joins up with the Satara pride and his brothers from time to time but not as frequent in the past.
There is another lioness from the Satara pride who is due to give birth soon so wee look forward to seeing their arrival.
The Shishangaan males seem to be spending most of their time with the Satara pride.
It’s been a while since they have visited part of the N’semani pride which they fathered cubs with last year.
So it will be interesting to see if they go back or if their sole focus will be on taking care of the Satara pride.

It's amazing how Mfowethu takes care of the lion cubs despite being injured. One would think he'd be aggressive because of his injury. We can learn so much from animals.

The lion 🦁♌ cubs seem very happy to be with their Dad and he is so patient with the little ones. They're crawling all over him and I didn't know that he was injured 😞 but he's carrying on his responsibility very good 🎉

Great video. Male lions are great leaders of the pride and lioness respect them. The cubs just know what to do. Wow, great examples to humans. This is Gods gift to us. Praise God in the highest. 🙏❤⛪

When Daddy had enough of his playful babies, he gets up to walk around. Or he might growl at them-without harming them-like saying “enough playing!” Very cute though. Cutenesses overload. 😊😊

Did the other cub of Casper that was lost last week get found? I fell so sad watching the lioness looking for her other cub missing 😢? So sad . Praying that this cubs will reach their adult hood like their dad and uncles 🙏❤️🙏

These are two different males. I wonder if white Lion isn't Grandpa filling in on cub-sitting duty even with an injured leg. The glorious male with the catitude roaring issue at the end is probably dad in my opinion--I've seen the second male with cubs in several different videos. This is the first time I've seen the white lion on feisty cub duty, and I was SO impressed at how gentle and tolerant he is even when he's clearly in pain.
