- Well guys the bad luck just keeps sticking with us! But There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We got this!! Ron is back!!
Grab all your JH Merch from www.cleetusmcfarland.com/coll....
OK… For all the people that obviously don’t follow the videos or watch the whole thing….
1. A Duramax will not go back in this. The original builder cut out the Duramax engine crossmember and several other key components that would be needed to put a Duramax back in it. The cost would be astronomical…
2. Nothing wrong with a stock junkyard engine. I personally heard this engine run back in October. It sounded fine…. It was pulled to swap an LS in it. Just had an unforeseen issue. The guy I bought it from even felt bad and offered to reimburse me for some of it. I told him no worries. Stuff happens.
3. We can and did build a solid “built” engine for this. Forged crank, h beam rods, , balanced, good pistons, ARP hardware throughout, aluminum heads, roller rockers ETC. the list goes on. Unfortunately due to a fluke oil pump failure and causing the oil pump to shoot metal throughout the engine we had to remove that engine. We simply installed this with the plan to sell the truck with a decent stock big block in it so somebody would have a reliable and fun truck. The 6.0 is getting close so we want to put our focus 100% on that for the mud side of things!! Hope this clears stuff up for some of the people.
You really need a Dart Big M block. It'll actually hold together. With the weight it's trying to move especially at the RPM
That's that cheap Chinese metal. Fjb.
TRUMP2024
Some just don't know
if money wasnt an issue, id have a custom p pumped 6.0 powerstroke in there just to piss everyone off
Hey Justin, could we maybe see your mini mud truck going personally I have been wanting to see that white short cab mud racer behind the blue frame for over a year now and I was kinda thinking your blower big block that was in Ron would be awesome for that truck I mean you could enter mud drags
Its going to be impossible to make everyone in the comments happy brother.
The real JHdieseland4x4+hybrid burnout boats and gasser fans are here for the good days, the bad days, the build, the trophy AND the carnage days.
Keep doing you JustinxJustin! Thanks for all the great content!
Couldn’t have said it any better
Hell yeah brother, just here for the personality’s and entertainment. Ain’t no reason to get worked up because JH will do it the JH way.
This. Man, I get trying to keep fans happy, but stop caring what morons say in the comments section. 99.99999% of the time they know nothing about anything other than what they have read online. Who cares what advice they have? Stop it JH!
I love how you guys cleaned and setup the shop. It actually makes for a more pleasent viewership. Hopefully, continue/small tweeks when there is time.
You're NOT ALONE on the BAD LUCK thing. It's been most of my life with it.🤷🏻♂️
Hell.. I think that truck is my match👌😄
Enjoyed the Ron Burgandy content but I’m glad y’all are offloading it and doubling down on the OG mud truck. It’s what brought a lot of us original followers to the channel in the first place! 🙂
I really enjoyed old Ron on the channel, never a dull moment. Hate to see him go…maybe he’ll make his way back in the shop on down the road. Whoever buys it is getting an absolute unit.
“If it weren’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all”.
Lol
Always something… never fails to fail lol
Story of my life for sure.
Buy some super cheap oil and do few oil changes to help get all that junk out. I’d personally drop the pan and clean that out along with a new oil pump because they don’t like that metal slurry and that’s exactly wat that pump got today pre oil filter.
Man I feel this. If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all. Keep the head up man.
Keep your head up and keep moving forward brother.
We ABSOLUTELY loved the content of this truck man. Dude i love this channel. Good people
Awesome video guys!
Man that's my favorite truck and you put so much work in it....
Awesome seeing you posting more frequently JH
I’d like to see JH build something with a duramax, a blower and no turbo, I believe that’d be a cool engine setup, very interesting to see done I think. Maybe in like a classic car or something, just a random thought
I looked into doing that but nobody has that setup even close to dialed in. I have talked to several guys that have experience with it and nobody has had great luck regardless of what you see on the internet. I wanted to build a roots blower duramax for a burnout truck. I think it would be insane. But the $50k+ setup to just start out is out of my price range
@@JHDieseland4X4 oh wow that’s really interesting, never realized it was crazy difficult like that. Hey maybe down the road you’ll be able to! Thanks for the reply too that’s cool of you👍🏼
That extra built 454 and blower you have would go nice in a burnout truck.
Great content thanks for sharing
JH and Justin, y'all rock! Peace
I prefer the 6.0 but Ron was a good stand in while you were rebuilding the Ford. Ive enjoyed them both. And like you said, stuff happens.
Ol Ron was a good addition to the channel. Good change. He added the right amount of issues to piss us all off. It's time to go back to 6.0 life Ron
Loving all the videos lately!!
JH" From the start something didnt feel right"..... Proceeds to ring it out for over a minute doing a 4 wheel drive burnout.
Just figured lifters needed to be pumped up from sitting for a few months. Heard this engine run back in October and it was perfect. Ran all day at an event no problems.
@JHDieseland4X4 I've had that happen before I immediately drained oil dumped new in and fired up left it get up to temp then proceeded to rev the shit outta it.. worked for me seriously
Your problem is your right foot JH!! You hear or assume an issue you inspect and fix it before you go cowboying it bouncing it off the rev limiter lol love ya brother but gosh dang you do it to yourself 😅
Hopefully all that metal from those lifters don't eat up the bearings in it good luck. Love the channel
Holy Crap, what next with Ol' Ron. Lots of Bad Luck for sure. Love the content and projects though, keep it coming.
Had a few 454s they don’t like high rpm 🙃
Love the mud truck content. I still say build up one of them 6x6 for pulls.
Damn dude I like your style!!!! Keep on goin
Love the old dryer in the yard lol typical Florida man stuff. You could’ve at least ran it over for us!
I was thinking the same thing. I was hoping he'd jump the Crown Vic.
Great RUclips content!!!
“Junkyard” engine, fresh spray paint, 4 wheels burnout on the chip and Boom!!!
You know you can do better, unfortunately will cost a lot of money.
Yell yeah brother!!!
Living up to the new name. JH gas and diesel! Lol
Fresh big block he says 😂😂😂😂😂
Justin your new shirt . My right foot breaks everything 😂😂😂😂
This Chevy big block identifies as a dodge 3.6 v6 😂
I heard it in the burnout, and I cringed....
But it died for GLORY!
Doctor tune em all bang stick incoming
when you start to hear that Tap enough to talk about it lol!!! that's basically the point you send it! after that you either brag or say d max time. I'm sure JH an Justin sent it off video! I was hoping she held together for the pulls...
Man I was right behind u in the drink line and was too shy to day hi haha anyway keep on the good content bro. Maybe the 6.0 will be at the next tgw event
Say hi next time!! Thanks for the support!!
You guys tear up more motors than anyone else ive ever seen butttt they are here for a good time not a long time haha
How does the cam lobe look? Can you shine a light down the lifter bore? I hope its still good
I'd love to have it
Everything you've ever had seems to have engine failure right off the bat 😂
Craigslist rebuild 🤣🤣🤣
No visible oil leaks
JH check the distributor. I seen a distributor that cracked near the base where the oil passage is. It bled the oil off and starved the driver's side lifters.
The saying is, if It wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all...
Id go high compression with some flat top pistons, with an E85 carb. And make it a "high revving" naturally aspirated beast
Maybe it's Justin's right foot being to heavy... He always goes hard... Lol 😂
Had a 2015 5.3 that did the same thing lifters need replaced needless to say after 3 trans in less then 100k miles I have a new truck now 😂
Well now you can put a little larger cam in it.
Nice truck, too bad about the cam and lifters though
The walmart association was doing what's right. We see how much walmart management and / or higher up cares for their associates and customers
Really wanted to see this truck work well with the blower motor
gas engines don't belong in a mud truck
@@christianshadrick1150diesel engines don’t, all that waiting time to spool
@@Southrn_Maniacyago yes diesel engines do
@@christianshadrick1150 I prefer the sound and power of a big block over a whistling turd
Have y'all thought about building a portable deck with a wide platform & easy climb stairs to make working on tall shit easier?
Build it proper so it lasts & you'll be set when you're 90.
On mud trucks like Ron or the 6.0 are limited-slip differentials or lockers useful as they can be on other 4X4's used for different purposes? Can't make it work with 5 Ton Axles? Not necessary? Just asking.
Gen 6 is roller cam. Gen 5 is flat tappet
Jh focus on the builds that make you happy. The haters are always gonna hate. Besides JH gasser is not what drew us all to your channel.
Put the Steve Morris engine that killa b got. No more games lol😀🤘
good ol Derek Bieri Ebay rebuild... give it a few tssssssst tsssssssts of the rattle cans.
If it wasn't for bad luck you would not have any luck 😂
I'm surprised you weren't at snowed in with cleeter😢
Put a cam and some lifters and go.. I'm sure someone has a big block cam somewhere
Hey you should offer Ron in a merch giveaway I'm sure you would make more then what your asking for it plus it would give someone a chance to win something that not all of us can afford to buy
It needs a hemi lol. Like a hellcat engine lol
Just remember that’s a non-adjustable net lash you have to put screw in studs, and rocker arms
Y'all should check out Edison Motors. They are making kits to hybrid swap diesels
I was so pissed when I realized I missed the barn. I literally realized the next morning.
17:30 does the engine need dissasembeld and cleaned? Or can you slap a new set in and run it?
Too many projects my boys. Time to focus on 1 or 3.
That’s the plan!!!
Definitely should have started it and let it run and build oil pressure to let the lifters build pressure before you went and ripped it.
If I could get my money from my retirement I would buy the truck now. Unfortunately I don't know when I will get the money. Plus I would let you drive it anytime you wanted. But you would have to fix what you broke if I bought it.
How wide is that truck. Outside of wheel to wheel.?
You guys have Finnigan levels of bad luck. Lol
Texas 427 Maybe next? Haha
Don't cleet got a old block u could borrow😉
Nobody is loaning him shit… dude destroys everything he touches
My dad use to race alcohol big blocks get one or two runs an they be cooked an rebuild it again they never really broke down they still run but not like it should one truck an a trailer full of quick swap engines
I got a brand new cam for that engine for sale got for my gen 6 454 never used it
Looks like ya have the radiator in bed of truck. Does the stock water pump keep up or do you have a inline pump too?
I've mounted rads in the rear and never had any issue with water flow. That's just using the stock small block chev water pump. For coolant pipes, I use one and a half inch exhaust tube. I've used bigger tube and honestly it never made any difference.
Stock water pump seems to work fine for this
@@MikeAnderson-uj3oo any problems with air pockets?
@JHDieseland4X4 good to know. Any problems with air pockets? Can't wait too see that 6.0 mega throwing mud again!
well was gonna make an offer >>>>
Yeah if my lifters looked like that I’d be putting an engine in it. Good luck next buyer.
Please revisit the aquaprius
We will closer to summertime
He should get his buddy to build his motor
Damn that sucks! Guess that’s why your name has diesel in it and not gas!!
If it wasn't for bad luck you'd have no luck at all is how the saying goes lol
Thay run so many tests on shit around here they're experts on what shit breaks before you make it ⛽️🇺🇸
That guy you bought the engine off of had to have known of that issue
Damn bro I hate that for y’all.
Put a LS in Ron maybe then it won’t grenade itself
Junk yard 6.0 ls and put the blower on that
Meanwhile my TBI 454 wont even spin the stock tires.
Thats just proof Gas sucks. haha
JH i love ur videos man i will always support you man hope u get what u want 20 grand american shit ouch the cab is abit crunched the left rear rim or axel is bent im sorry i dont mean to pick on you id give you 10 grand canadian
Clicked on this before cleetus’s video 🤓
The SJH channel sh__ just happened lol
Where did all the metal go?
does the bad luck happen with your customers vehicles too or just yours😂
Have you thought about renaming the truck Ron Buggery cos it's a pain in the ass?.🤣
The saying is" if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all"
Rod knock?
Didn’t you put a blower motor in that at one time not too long ago?
