- With the sport compact series coming up and rangers being added to the schedule we had to get this thing dialed in.

Old roundy round trick , sag that front left spring about 1/2" ,just Jack the truck up in the front, heat the spring with a torch and lower the jack down slow , it'll make the truck naturally dive left without messing with the toe or camber
Heat the drivers side main leaf spring just behind the front shackle mount, let it bend up 2-3 inches. It drops the left rear of the truck and also brings the left side of the rear end forward which helps get rid of some of front end push.
Its an edge, so you can adjust the preload on the front torsion bars to drop it down some. Also can remove the lift blocks in the rear. The fx4 L2 ranger came with a 31 spline 8.8 with a torsen and 4:10 gears....
Next time you build a Ranger I would suggest a 91-92, reg cab, short box, 4.0l, 5spd. Lightest chassis by hundreds of pounds, decent power, if you can swap rear ends, find a 95-00 explorer V8. Factory LSD 31 spline, 3.73 or 4.10 gears, easy bolt in, 5 inch drop if you use factory perch disk brakes. Only mod needed is 1 shock mount bought. Just an idea if you really want to dominate.

I'm not sure if this weekends race at the FF is going to be live streamed. I see it listed on the Cleetus website under the season schedule. However, not all of those event are live streamed. Then, when I look at the FRDM+ website, under "upcoming events" it's not listed. The next live stream event according to the FRDM+ website is the "Tour of Destruction" on March 8th and 9th.

I would love to see you mess with a small 4x4 like a Suzuki jimny or a Old panda 4x4 if you have them over there🤘🏻
We never got the panda here, but we did get the Jimny. It's called a Samurai in the US. We also had the Suzuki sidekick/Geo tracker. They all have a pretty big following here, and I've owned a few.
No panda and we don't have that sick new jimny that you have either. The samurai stopped here in like 95 and they've been going up in value. We really don't have any small offroaders unfortunately.

Skin the hood, bed, and interior and gusset it to the cage. Tons of weight savings there

Get you a set of 4 x 4 adjustable ball joints. That way you can just a toe and camber on that right front wheel.
What was the weight difference with the different wheel and tire combo? That's where you're going to pick up your most gains.
Get rid of the bed cover, the Mythbusters proved that they rob air flow and make a truck slower.
Bed cover is better when riding on a track and turning
some people forget to flush the oilcooler when they get a lot of metal in the oil , font be that guy and flush that too
Can you ditch or alter the bumpers? Remove leaf springs except for the primary rear leaf springs?
307 lbs? That's a big fat JH out of that truck, now he's much skinnier.
Set your toe and camber based on a circle track. The fine tuned adjustments are going to be based on weight distribution of the vehicle.
I would buy some headers and get rid of those exhaust manifolds that might give you a little bit weight reduction
Since your doing cam would hurt to pull the oil galley plugs and flush the oil galley out just to be sure you get all the metal out
Please close those holes in the firewall from the AC, heat being removed!!!
Drop the belt drive fan and put in an electric. It will Rev up alot faster and have a little more hp

Cut out the inner bed walls. If the rules allow it cut out the bed floor just cut out the square panels in between the reinforcement ribs.
If that Ranger has torsion bar front suspension lower the driver side and raise the passenger side with the adjustment bolts it'll lean it to the driver side it should Corner better

Cut the floor out of the box and take out the overload spring if it has one

Hey, the lighter the vehicle the less stress you have on suspension, brakes, and tires.
Now put 25 pounds worth of battery cable and move that brick to the left rear.
Take off the rear bumper and put a roll pan to save more weight
Random event idea. A bunch of 4x4 trucks built for extended time burnouts. Chain each truck too something heavy like an excavator. Each truck has a pit crew. Teams to put new tires on. See what team burns off the most tires in 20 mins. Have like 5 teams.

Few extra pounds could be cut out of the bed flooring to if ya dont need the bed space but wanna keep the look.... plus its one less thing in the way when ya gotta work on it
Per the rules the truck must retain factory bed and cosmetically look like a ford ranger.

I feel like Garrett is dropping the ball on promotion of this race, I realize that it's an outside promoter putting the race on but it's at his track and I'm sure he gets a portion of the attendance and probably all of the concessions. He's put out a bunch of videos in the past week with zero mention of an upcoming race at the FF.

It doesn't need a tailgate if it's got a big ass spoiler on a bed cover the only time the tailgate helps the aero is if there isn't a bedcover.

That battery doesnt look like the lightest, probably can shave half the weight with a lithium battery
And if you're going to weigh stuff reset the scale with you on it, that way you can just stand on it while holding the parts and no need to balance them on the scale
