-You’re right, that not Wu, that’s Sensei Yang with the Yin Blade. I don’t know why I didn’t notice that
-City of Stix had a Ronin’s shop before
-I apologize if some of the sections are “leaning” or not properly connected in some parts of this review. This isn’t because I was “in a rush” like some people are saying. The sections are very exact and finicky, and while I tried to make them all exactly connected, it’s difficult to notice every mistake with a set of this size. They may not be slid in 100% correctly at the beginning, but when I put the set together at the end they should be good.
-Also a lot of people are suggesting the statue is the Grundal. That’s a good guess! But it’s suspended from the ceiling and has wings, so that’s why I said I think it’s Griefbringer

Fair play to this dude for getting a review up so quickly but it's so rushed, wonky set, crap mic that keeps going quiet, constant mumbling and "I don't know what that is" type comments. Jeez, just slow down a bit and think about what you're saying.

The set looks so awesome, even though the ninja zone does not exist in the show, it definitely reminds me of the Borg tower, maybe using those colors and using other pieces it could be made into said tower.
You could imagine that it is the "Hero Suite" from s2 e1
I really like how they chose a different roof design for each build in this set!

For the museum questions: I think that map is to the four golden weapon. That is actually a picture of sensei yang and the dragon represents his yin blade from day of the departed. The great devourer poster is the diagram Nya used to find the Constrictai and Venomari tombs in season 1.
That thing on the Ninjago fan's apartment could be a microscale dragon
Yeah, I was thinking that too. The blue colour on the bottom makes me think maybe the water dragon?
I think it is the new jungle dragon coming soon because it is turquoise and is part of the same season as the catamarans and the keepers village.
I think that this is Jay's lightning dragon from Skybound

Wasn’t too keen on this set from the leaked pictures, but after seeing this review I’m all in. It definitely looks better when you can see it from all different angles, and I’m sure it looks even better in person.

Can't wait for this to turn up - it went to "back order" in about 2 hours this morning in the UK. Great review, thanks for sharing. So happy to see the extra details you pointed out. The little bottles are soy sauce (as others have said). The bonsai tree leaves (claws) were also used for the Chen minifigure, so I think that is the reference there. The lavender building on the top is the Zen Garden and the tea balcony is on the second level at the 21:18 mark. I would guess that the hidden flying mech in the fan's apartment is a jay lightning mech from the movie (it has silver spokes out the back). I am so impressed by the micro-build of the Temple of Airjitzu - so simple but instantly recognisable. This is a lovely set.

This set is so beautiful and amazing! Thank you for the review. I do wish we had gotten different city figures, like a Dareth in his Laughy's clothes, Dr. Julien and Krux/Dr. Saunders. Plus Nya and Cole should have been the Legacy Ninja while Kai and Zane got casual clothes. But other than that I love this set and can't wait to build my own!
To this day this is still my favorite set that I own. Also, that ornament hanging in the Ninjago fan apartment to me looks like a reference to a Jay plane build.
A lot of fun details and use of parts indeed.
In Ronin’s shop, that little balance thing is in his shop in the show, you can see it right after REX breaks through the floor, I know it’s not a big thing but it’s just a nice little detail that they decided to put in

I haven't finished the video yet, but I'd like to point out that the little robot worker seems to be modeled after the villain robots from Exo-Force.
This looks beautiful, I need to get this set. Also 30:12 is the blade that was used to open a rift between the departed realm so that cole could become a human again. And I don't think that is sensei Wu's portrait I think it is sensei Yang. This scene was in the day of the departed.
I think that the drill is referencing to the old power miners line.
The drill is referencing rock raiders an earlier mining theme

I'm glad we got a physical figure of the Mechanic but there is one difference I would do I replace that gold arm with an official Lego robot arm

I'm late to the party. Bought Ninjago city a couple months ago and enjoyed all the little details. Just got the city docks a few weeks ago and felt a little disappointed. This looks good. Just wish playsets had more play features. I like that trap door for loot, the hole in the wall, but I oddly really liked that retractable ladder feature. Most definitely gonna pick this set up.

The lego minecraft turtle eye is a reference to the kai minecraft figure when he came in village raid and the portrait on that looks like Star Wars references the poster in ninjago cinema that has the poster for the movies and advertisements
