Bacraft Combat Shirt Review - It's a shirt... with a hood

- This is my review of the Barcraft TRN BDU SP2 Combat Shirt. This shirt was sent to me by workerkit.com. You can find it in the link below. Short version, this is a very good combat shirt. I find it to be an well thought out design. It is both comfortable and appears to be very durable.

I wouldn’t have minded the hood on this combat shirt though, I feel like it’s where they lack when it comes to the utilitarian use, besides the pockets and adjustability they do provide. But other than the added bonus of where I could slap any patches I want for larping, it just gives that Assassin’s Creed feel just by how the hood gives that shadow over your face too as you just wore it before even removing it in the first place. Small nitpick would be the fabric color used for the torso, as I feel like black will just make you stick out more even if you’re rocking a chest rig or a plate carrier, really wished that they could’ve gone with OD green or something.
I happen to own a combat shirt myself as well, it’s a Chinese replica of the Crye G2/AC combat shirt (evident by the half-open elbow pad slots), while it is good, my only regret is not getting it in large. Next time I might go for it.
Bought the elite 1:2 sling and it is great! I highly recommend it and it is sold at a fair price! Keep up the awesome work man!

The hood on a combat shirt makes a lot of sense for concealment purposes. Not saying this particular hood shape is good for that and it could also use some netting on the outside to add vegetation… but to have what is essentially a viper hood without needing a viper hood ‘is’ appealing to me :-)
Also… and this is said with only love for your efforts and for shits and giggles… but for someone who doesn’t want to go to deep into the nerd forest… the shirt comming from under the combat shirt is hilarious… and ‘gunfather milsim’ doesn’t sound larpy at all ;-) ❤
The story behind the "Gunfather" call sign is a very short one. It was a call sign a friend gave me when we played Perfect Dark on Nintendo 64 circa 1999. It was an inside joke in my group of friends that everyone had "Gun" in their call sign. There was a "Gun Logic", "Gun Fabulous", etc. Just some dumb shit a bunch of college kids made up while playing video games.
In 2007 I joined an online forum for airsoft and you had to use a callsign for your handle. I didn't put any thought into it and just put down "Gunfather". If I had known that 15 years later I would have a RUclips channel, I would have picked a cooler sounding name.
@@GunfatherMilsim hahahha I for one think there is nothing wrong with the name bud. Don’t stress to much about being a nerd or not… Even hardcore operators like yourself can be nerds at heart. The two are not mutually exclusive :-). Also being in a clan back in ‘99 doesn’t help make you less of a nerd ;-) Again… nothing but love dude. I am the biggest nerd you’ll find for miles and have long lost the notion that being one ‘isn’t’ cool. Actually possessing the strength to not care what others think is the cool part 😎
@Nirodha Well it wasn't a "clan" it was a bunch of college roommates playing Nintendo 64 on a couch. I forgot people used to use the word "Clan" for online gaming groups. Pretty sure they don't use that term anymore.
@@GunfatherMilsim hahaha I am a Xenial like yourself and pretty sure people still use the word clan in gaming to describe their group of regulars… especially in shooters. Otherwise ‘guild’ is more applicable :-)
Anyway.. cool shirt! Good review! Just had to giggle a little at the need to ‘not be a nerd’.
Would that be closest to Ranger Green?
It is the only "green" available for this model of shirt. In my experience Ranger Green is several shades darker than this. IMO it would not be very close. The plate carrier I am wearing at the beginning of the video is OD. You can see it doesn't quite match with that either. There is definitely a gray hue to it. I like the color but if you have green kit you are trying to match it to this may not be the choice for you.
