Macklemore came up to me while I was working cashier at Target like 8 months ago. I didn't say anything about recognizing him but I knew it was him cuz he was with his daughter and I already saw they were at the nearby mall on his snapchat story. Anyway, he was buying toys and dvds for his daughter, and when i was scanning them I forgot to take the security case off of Beauty & the Beast, so after he had left, they had to come back in and he just handed it to me without saying a word LMAO so I was like "oh my bad" and took it off. I was pretty high and he looked pissed off the entire time haha. I hope he thinks of me

You said the Thrift Shop music video was made long after the release of the album "The Heist". Which is false.
The thrift shop music video was actually released on August 29th, 2012 which was a month a week before The Heist came out on October 9th 2012.
One thing that really put me off Macklemore was when I went to see him live last year and they performed an extended version of White Privilege II and did vomit inducing preaching to what was mostly the converted. It felt so forced.

I think some people have formed opinions about the man himself and have turned him into a cartoon. If Chance the Rapper released the same album people would be all over it. He tries too hard for people to like his music, but I would really like to see him say fuck everyone and release music that is more focused conceptually so that we can really get a sense of who he is.

Gemini for me is only about a 3 or 4. A lot of the songs sound generic and for the ones that are good I prefer a similar song off another of his albums.
