  • "Nobody is ever broken." That's how Dr. Claudia Six begins her talk about women's sexual performance anxiety. She addresses specifically how women (and those that love being with them) can overcome such anxiety, which appears VERY different from the kind that affects men. Arousal slows down for women, rather than speeds up; and many women think there is something broken about them. Dr. Six calls her approach to helping women overcome their anxiety the achievement of "erotic integrity." When a woman owns her sexual being and desires, when she can give voice to her needs without worrying about her partner's reactions, she is on the road to "erotic integrity." As Dr. Six says, making this step is about more than the bedroom -- it is about women saying "We are enough. We are not broken."
Dr. Six has 25 years as a practicing Clinical Sexologist, and is a successful sex therapist who has helped thousands of people find their authentic selves and enjoy a more fulfilling relationship. Her approach is unique, and her style is warmly engaging, putting her clients and workshop attendees at ease. Her credentials include a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Sexology and she’s a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist by the American Board of Sexology. Her new book, Erotic Integrity: How to be True to Yourself Sexually was published in May, 2016 and has already garnered several awards.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Lovely Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you ever tried - Rozardner Big Signals Reality (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning how to last longer in bed minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy at last got cool success with it.

Sex is the only thing I don't have performance anxiety about... sex is the only thing that my ancestors actually all accomplished! It's in my blood!

You ask that men ask themselves "what am I doing wrong?"
That's not a very good way to put it. Some of us, probably many of us are haunted by this question. At least this is true for those of us who do care and are curious, but who's partner is frozen by shame and is either too afraid to speak up, or too afraid even to be aware of what they are feeling.
But I agree that men on the whole would do well to be more patient and curious about their partner's experience.
