I drink ginger tea every morning on an empty stomach. Ive not had indigestion since I started. It tastes good and I save money on expensive indigestion remedies.
I love ginger, but I went crazy with it - juicing it and drinking it in large amounts - and I believe I gave myself subcutaneous thyroiditis. One night about 7 months ago I drank about 3 ounces or so of fresh ginger juice; subsequently I felt a kind of "pop" in my throat, which then swelled up and was very uncomfortable and unnerving. I had it for days - it would flare up in the morning and the evening - and sometimes I felt like my throat was constricted almost to the point of not being able to breathe properly (although it never came to that) and I even had heart palpitations, which were caused (I found out) by my thyroid leaking T3 and T4. I scrounged the internet and first determined that what I had was thyroiditis, but subcutaneous thyroiditis (not any other kind, according to my symptoms), then tried to figure out what caused it. I came across a paper by doctors in Iran, I believe, saying they had a patient who had thyroiditis triggered by ginger. I then talked to a nurse friend, and asked her if she'd ever heard of this, and she said "Oh yes...plenty; some people can't even breathe properly as a result and it's from ginger." I'm still recovering from it (it flares up and then subsides). Never went to the doctor; just taking care of my diet and eating and supplementing to support my thyroid. This is just a cautionary tale for anyone who might be thinking of consuming a lot of ginger.
Even being an Indian who eat ginger in everything… but it does not need to be over consume it.. at the end of the day it’s a medicinal herb and to be used in moderation! Use it everyday but not in excess

1. Where can i buy genuine ginger tea products?
2. How much of it do we drink and how often throughout the week, and life in general?
At this point, im going to assume you have my phone bugged... almost EVERYTIME I have a certain area of concern, you post a video about it. E V E R Y T I M E! I've been having conversations with coworkers about certain issues and then "dr berg video". FREAKY! But.... thank you! 🙃
The universe listens and sends you the help. I have often experienced the same.
🌺🌻🌼 what I would do for ginger now. Sitting on this slow train at 23.15 in absolute agony from pain in my tummy.
@Dharmic Science
💕💝💞 Thank you, I will give it try. 😀😀😀
for any stomach problem i chew on small piece of ginger sprinkling some lemon juice and black salt on it 5 minutes before eating...in winter we use dry ginger powder (sonth) in India in our tea
Put 3 cloves in water & boil for 3 minutes (add pinch of tea leaf)& then before take out put graded Ginger ,you will have the best drink for the day
I take ginger tea every day for years now. In TCM, it's very beneficial
I make lemon ginger ale from fresh ginger root, lemons and champagne yeast. Love a glass before or after supper.

Wonderful!

Yes! Betaine HCL gets a mention. I take one before T-day dinner, before X-mas dinner, or before any other big meal. When others are groaning, I'm like ready for dessert.
it would be such a pleasure to meet DR.eric berg in persona and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. would love to have a chat with you one 1 one.
I added Trace Minerals 5 drops and my acid Reflux came back felt on the left side of the Esophagus at the level of the Thyroid.
You mean the Grandmoms have been right all along?! 👀
🙄
Yes we have 😊
Dr. Eric, you said there's no side effect of Ginger. Ginger can cause mood irritation in some people. People taking medicine of hypertension (high blood pressure) should be very careful in taking any extra ginger (such as ginger flakes or ginger tea etc.)
I love your videos by the way. I learned a lot from your videos.
I take the lowest dosage of blood pressure pills.. am I ok to drink it 2-3 times a day?
@@danniedebe9885
Try mild quantity of ginger only once a day and see how does it work for a week, then you can gradually increase and see what's the response.
Still, I'd say better get doctor's advice.
@@usman3D I appreciate that advice!!
Holy Smokes I just sat down with some tea to look through my feed. Lemon Ginger tea! I did not know this about ginger. I just like the little kick.
Dr Berg thank you for highlighting the benefits of ginger, My question is if the gall bladder has been surgically removed, will that person also benefit from ingesting ginger through the liver?
Use an artichoke extract tablet or capsule with meal life saver
i will start that tomorrow, thank you
i also feel better when i drink apple cider vinegar
These things have been part of our culture and medicine for centuries in the East. I don't ever remember using ear drops for ear infections as kids. My mum always fried a few cloves of garlic in oil and put a few drops of that warm oil in our ears. Never needed antibiotics!
Hey handsome im drinking that right now! I hope it helps get rid of this flu thing i have. God speed.
