I’ve been using ginger in my soul, tea, vegan tofu fried rice, thai coconut curry, SO MANY THINGS. It’s one of my favorite scents and I just love the spice.
Side note-my acne has gotten better since I’ve switched to intermittent fasting/avoiding dairy, anything processed+eating fresh/steamed veggies everyday.
If you can season your food correctly, veggies taste sooooooooo yummy! I started about 2 years ago and initially lost 30lbs and now feel absolutely great.
I’ve noticed my mood shift as well-I used to be tired all the time when I primarily consumed heavily processed foods, which lead to me thinking I was depressed/anxious. It’s a drastic change-having energy and feeling....cleaner. Healthier. I just love your channel Dr Berg, can’t express my appreciation towards you enough!!

I learned about ginger in a book about herbal medicine my sister purchased 15 years ago and so I have been using it for various things, we also use it in our cooking. Last night I had a stomach ache out of nowhere after eating lunch, I could barely walk straight! I went into the kitchen and quietly and confidently made myself ginger tea. I put fresh grated ginger in a cup and then poured boiling water over it, i let it steep for 15 minutes then drank it... 20 minutes later I was fine! Thank God for these medicinal herbs I can't imagine going in my hunched over bent shape(from the pain) to the shop or pharmacy to get medicine. All I did was open the fridge and there was ginger as usual.

Fresh ginger tea: peel a chunk of ginger using a knife with a small, narrow blade. Slice it thinly so you have about 2 tablespoons (experiment to taste) of slices (not bits), put it in your mug and pour boiling water over it, wait 10 to 15 minutes . . . add what you wish and drink. Ginger stays on the bottom while you drink the tea. 🍁🍃🍁

My wife grinds up ginger and mixes it with fresh orange juice and fresh lemon juice. Lets it sit over night in the fridge, then strains it to remove the fibers and pours it all into a glass bottle and stores it in the fridge for fresh ginger shots. Great for the immune system as well.

When ever I get an upset stomach (especially when bloated) my mom will extract Ginger juice by crushing it well and squeezing it, so all the juice will come out. Then she mixes it with equal parts of lemon juice and a pinch of Himalayan salt. I drink it as a shot, no diluting
With water. It do wonders, it relieves pain and bloating, also a soothing effect to the throat too. The squeezed part of Ginger can be dried(dry ginger powder) and used in curries..

I was bloating really terribly, and I started adding a thumb of fresh ginger, 1/4 spoon of turmeric powder, to my morning drink upon waking up. Blend it on high speed then add your favourite mix drink etc. My bloating has nearly disappeared and I don't miss a day without it. I also add ginger to my food dishes when I can. I love it because it's natures best medicine all round.

I love ginger, but I went crazy with it - juicing it and drinking it in large amounts - and I believe I gave myself subcutaneous thyroiditis. One night about 7 months ago I drank about 3 ounces or so of fresh ginger juice; subsequently I felt a kind of "pop" in my throat, which then swelled up and was very uncomfortable and unnerving. I had it for days - it would flare up in the morning and the evening - and sometimes I felt like my throat was constricted almost to the point of not being able to breathe properly (although it never came to that) and I even had heart palpitations, which were caused (I found out) by my thyroid leaking T3 and T4. I scrounged the internet and first determined that what I had was thyroiditis, but subcutaneous thyroiditis (not any other kind, according to my symptoms), then tried to figure out what caused it. I came across a paper by doctors in Iran, I believe, saying they had a patient who had thyroiditis triggered by ginger. I then talked to a nurse friend, and asked her if she'd ever heard of this, and she said "Oh yes...plenty; some people can't even breathe properly as a result and it's from ginger." I'm still recovering from it (it flares up and then subsides). Never went to the doctor; just taking care of my diet and eating and supplementing to support my thyroid. This is just a cautionary tale for anyone who might be thinking of consuming a lot of ginger.
