Kelly I always enjoy watching your channel and as an older woman I try to give advice when I can. An appliance repair man once told me to never put detergent and bleach in the things on the washer made to put there. He said pour it directly into the water as the tub fills. He said that detergent and bleach rust your washer when you do that. And he also said when you set your knob for older ones if you decide you need 5 or 10 more minutes never turn the knob in the opposite direction to always turn it clock wise all the way around. He said they are plastic and doing that they will eventually break. My daughter had one that did that some years back, and it cost her almost what the washer cost new to fix it. Now I realize people have newer washers now mostly, but I’m passing it on. Looks like you have rust going on in yours somewhere so thought I’d pass it on straight from a repairman. Love what you’re doing with your home. Beautiful.

🦋Hi Kelly, I have the same issue as you with having only porch steps and no sitting area. So what I’ve recently decided to do, is put down flat walk way stones. They cost about $ 2.00 each at Lowe’s. Just sharing that idea with you. You can make your own concrete slab for a patio. I’ve got to go pick up more of those stones today. I can only afford to get a little here and there. But , it’s slowly coming together ❤

Oh gosh your sliding door reminds me of my bedroom windows I cleaned last week. I had to spray the bottom of the frame with 409, which was the strongest cleaner I had and use a toothbrush to get all the grime out. Boil some water in it. Thats what i do for my microwave. Just boil water in it, let it sit a bit, then wipe it down. Cleans it out perfectly. I dont use a lot of chemicals as i have copd, so the less i can use to clean with, the better. 😊
