This car is an absolute Masterpiece. I love to see that Nissan is taking so much pride in their car, and that they have not cut corners like other people have, for example giving you a great chassis and then leaf springs ( the company shall remain nameless). This will be my next investment if possible. I hear that the next availible year of production is like 3 years from now, the waiting list is just that long. Anyway Im proud to be a Nissan/Infiniti owner.
I just went to a GR-R preview evening in Exeter, UK. They had a U.S spec car there. All GT-Rs are made by a total of 14 people in a clean environment, so you really are getting a hand made supercar.
This car is HANDMADE!!!! 0.o, and its costs as little as it does AND it runs as well as it does........that is simply ASTONISHING, well done Nissan you have created a legend
I may not have the exact numbers but I'm sure a mate of mine who worked at Nissan in Sunderland (UK) said that a nissan MICRA was rolled off the line every 104 seconds or something silly! In contrast the engine alone in one of these is over 100minutes from a video I watched so in car-manufacturing terms they're not exactly a quick car to build but still fantastic value for the amount of time and effort thats put into the build :)
Agreed. I'm all about the American muscle cars but, the Skyline is an impressive vehicle. The GTR model just took it one step further. If I was going to buy a foreign car it would be a Skyline for sure.
The cost of a brake job will be far less than $7,500. We are still working to finalize the last details of the vehicle and more information will be available closer to start of sales in June.
Gentlemen, I still have both my 1970 AMX 390 and 2004 350Z roadster. I thought these were reasonably fast street cars. I had the opportunity to acquire a 2009 GTR at msrp so I ordered it six months ago. I've always wanted a "supercar." I took delivery last month. On my first drive I honestly felt I made a mistake... WAY TOO FAST FOR ME!!! I mean I almost soiled my shorts! I haven't even gotten it out of "comfort" mode yet! But now, I realize that this car makes anyone a better driver.
Mines has tuned some for racing. Pushing 530hp with only a ROM-tune and changing the exhaust. It still doesn't beat the Mines R34 but give them time...
Well done Nissan you have done what others said could not be done . Astonishing that it is so much automobile for such little money. While many others go bankrupt and foreclose As long as you make cars like this I see a bright future for Nissan.
Pricing of the 2009 Nissan GT-R-- $69,850 for the Base model and $71,900 for the Premium model, which adds a standard Bose® audio system, heated seats and side air bags.
I agree 110% Very important piece. Now can't wait for the next Honda NSX(Or whatever they gonna call it) As well as the Lexus LF-A(Seen enough of concept already. Lets actually make it happen.
Actually the Nissan R35 costs around 3000million yens in the production costs but the market price is only around 777million yens therefore Nissan is losing money for the R35. The R35 engine is all handmade and assembled in the factory. After assembly and before the car goes on the market for sale, each car is tested when the driver step on both gas and brake at the same time to ensure its performance and quanlity therefore each R35 is track race ready right off at the lots.
thats true they will never be.... but at the same time the gtr is special process the extra atten cannot be compared to regualar cars. Youd have to scale it against specialty production. The engines are hand built ext and by those standards in that genre of car production its prety normal in fact.
First question: why did Nissan wait so long to actually sell this GT-R here in America? I love everything about this car: AWD, styling, the electronics, what more can I say? Also, IT'S A SHAME ONLY SO MANY ARE COMING HERE THE FIRST YEAR! YOU CAN BET THE DEALERS ARE GOING TO TRY TO GET GREEDY ON THIS WORLD CLASS NISSAN, AND I HOPE NISSAN PUTS A PRICE LIMIT ON THIS CAR. WHY CAN'T THE AMERICANS MAKE AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE CAR LIKE THIS? NISSAN DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON THE GT-R, AND I'D LOVE TO DRIVE ONE
@TargetRender keep in mind that the used GTR that is selling for $50,000 will be abused alot........ur much better off with a brand new one or one with really low miles
if i had to chose between a gtr 35 vs a skyline gtr 34 i would pick the 34 or a gtr 35 and take out the engine and transmission and put a rb26 with a OS-88 Six Speed Sequential Transmission. i wonder if that's possible any one selling a gtr 35body? i wont to find out!
@92toyotaterceltuner there you have a point! thats what im thinking. but this one is still a fast and outstanding sportscar. but nothing against the rb26dett and the 2jzgte! the last gtr that nismo had build was the best ever. it has the whole front made out of carbonfiber! even the mask and everything!search for it here.
First of all Infiniti is currently only sold in the U.S. with plans for expansion in Europe. Anyone who doesn't trust the Nissan name probably doesn't know to much about the auto industry and is probably driving a Mustang. They don't have Infiniti in Japan, and since Japan is where most will be sold I don't think it's a problem with the name. And honestly they're all back-ordered anyways so you don't know what you're talking about. The GT-R spec V won't even be available in the U.S. until 2011.
Really guys if your not a Nissan fan then out with the Ford truck comments and search those vids else where. And hand made cars are better made than "robots". Hats off to the Nissan plant!

Great stuff to be able to see a car such as the GT-R being created at the factory. Whoever put up this video, thank you.
Peace out!
The amount of electronics in this car is just outstanding!!!
virtually everything is done by hand, no robots used here... these technicians got skills in abundance!!!
I may not have the exact numbers but I'm sure a mate of mine who worked at Nissan in Sunderland (UK) said that a nissan MICRA was rolled off the line every 104 seconds or something silly! so much care into every car.
i have a new respect for Nissan
i love the japanese pride in work and attention to detail. one of the finest and most desired cars on the planet. omedeto nissan! yabai!
Great job this guys do with a lot of dedication, that's why you pay for it, there is no other Japanese car like the GT-R!
It looks damn gorgeous, even when its still in the making!
i just love the way they design their door knobs
Best car in the world!! congratulations!! From ROMANIA!
@Ganeva69 its still part of the skyline family. the full name of the car is nissan skyline R35 gt-r....look it up if u dont believe me.
It does, I already saw one in LA like 2 months ago, its insane
Agreed.
I'm all about the American muscle cars but, the Skyline is an impressive vehicle.
The GTR model just took it one step further.
If I was going to buy a foreign car it would be a Skyline for sure.
Over 400,000 views to watch the assembly of the Nissan GT-R, now you know the GT-R is not to be messed with.
nissan is getting serious with all their cars (and trucks) styling, and thats a good thing!
WOW!!!!, so many GT-R's in one place!, that must be a sight to see, as far as the assembly is concerned now thats what I call exclusivity.
Absolutely phenomonal!!! Makes me proud (which has nothing to do with the GT-R) to drive my Pathfinder.
my neighbor has one and i am so happy i get to look at a gtr everyday.
they are making the FUTURE..by hand! magnificent!
The cost of a brake job will be far less
than $7,500. We are still working to finalize the last details of the
vehicle and more information will be available closer to start of sales
in June.
Man when i see the blank body panels it makes me thing how badass a blue GTR would have looked.
@ 1:44, the best looking handbrake lever I ever seen! I haven't stripped the central console away yet to see it.
I will have some engine assembly footage up soon. Very cool.
Stay tuned...

Masterpieces in the making
You should be, this car kicks ass. I own an Evo, and will own a gt-r in a couple years.
Mines has tuned some for racing. Pushing 530hp with only a ROM-tune and changing the exhaust. It still doesn't beat the Mines R34 but give them time...
Well done Nissan
you have done what others said could not be done .

やっぱり技術の日産です。
it is so a cross between the skyline r34 g-tr and the nissan 350z , but i love it
They are beautiful cars, no doubt!!
Pricing of the 2009 Nissan GT-R-- $69,850 for the Base model and $71,900 for the Premium model, which adds a standard Bose® audio system, heated seats and side air bags.

I really love this car. Its tail light look similar to corvette.
I agree 110% Very important piece. Now can't wait for the next Honda NSX(Or whatever they gonna call it) As well as the Lexus LF-A(Seen enough of concept already. Lets actually make it happen.
I think the pagani zonda F1 has a new record...check it out.

I think its 7:27 for pagani zonda F stock...even the tires. But again the GT-R time is incredible for a car that costs $380 less LOL
it may just be a blue gel coat.
@TargetRender good luck with that, man.for real thought good luck
so what your saying is that from driver to driver you can't get like a 5 or 10 second difference?
Nice upload.
does anybody know the solo production time and max nummber for the GTR?
Actually the Nissan R35 costs around 3000million yens in the production costs but the market price is only around 777million yens therefore Nissan is losing money for the R35. @92toyotaterceltuner
Ok beats it at what exactly?
Not in 0 to 60, not in the nuremburg, not in overall HP....to what are you referring?
its beautiful
i would love to work there
WOW I love these man!!!!!!
awesome car ... ohh if there is manual transmision of it
thats true they will never be.... but at the same time the gtr is special process the extra atten cannot be compared to regualar cars. Youd have to scale it against specialty production. The engines are hand built ext and by those standards in that genre of car production its prety normal in fact.
GTR for sure. it already proves its power on nurburgring races. VS M-5
can't wait to work there at the finish line, Drive GT-R everyday and get paid, best job ever.
I would love to visit the gtr factory

@Persocondes There are guns which are made in Japan
that car looks tight , kinda look lik a 350z and a corvette , but out proforms them tho , o and wats the song?
Blue? That is not a GT-R color. Maybe you mean the bumper protective pieces used when assembling the vehicle on the line?
fantastic
Is it just coincedent, or is it Tochigi is the place where most of the top japanese car were built? i.e. Honda's NSX?
Hey....they didn't show the part where they install the flammable wiring harness, like in the Sentras. I'm disappointed.
@TargetRender keep in mind that the used GTR that is selling for $50,000 will be abused alot........ur much better off with a brand new one or one with really low miles
And thats how u create a monster, its hard work people!
You mean that won't be available in the US ?
GT-R the best Japan sport car!
dang a brake pad cost that much? does the standard GT-R have brembo brakes?
if i had to chose between a gtr 35 vs a skyline gtr 34 i would pick the 34 or a gtr 35 and take out the engine and transmission and put a rb26 with a OS-88 Six Speed Sequential Transmission. i wonder if that's possible any one selling a gtr 35body? i wont to find out!

Why so much buffing?
Dude, its not a frickin job, its frickin heaven.
