Same here they're fantastic for me DIYing some plaster just pencil the studs on ceiling or floor and lazer for the line to drill on. Perfect level for shelves too
Lasers aren't even that much money either. They range from like $50 to $1000 on the high end and are a game changer when it comes to making sure everything is level without spending too much time doing so. It's always best to double check with a regular level however because if you drop the laser or anything happens to it it can fuck it up

I've pex-ed 5 houses fully. Pex-A is great! It's those "brackets" for the stub out are sh**ty. If you put a stainless steel supply line for the water heater, the "bracket" doesn't keep the stub out pipes straight. They kinda get crisscrossed in/outwards, or pushed up. I prefer a solid straight connection, so I pex onto a dog ear elbow female thread and stub out with a galvanized or brass pipe. Another note, if you pex into a "pex-to-valve" fitting, you'll have to cut off the pex-valve WHEN (not if) the valve fails, shortening your stub out. Better to use the pex-to-fe/male thread fitting, then screw on your valve. Edit: Lol! Drop ears! Didn't catch that til now. Thank you Mr. Anderson. Dog ears sound more fun. I'm leaving it.
Learned recently that you have to let PEX-A shrink back for 30 to 60 minutes before turning on the pressure. I didn't do that and about 6 fittings were dripping. In about 15 minutes the drips stopped and all was good.

Love it man! This piping system is soo efficient and you get to go home (mostly an earlier time than otherwise) at the end of the day after getting a LOT done and still have more than enough energy to live life and spend time with those closest to you- the way as it is intended to be, instead of being tired out from dealing with crappy piping materials that should be obsolete(in new builds) and the procedures that come with the territory... it's soo good to see a job getting done right... it's highly satisfying love it bro 👍
@@jackpeoples1609 I have had pex in my house for 16 years. No breaks or dry Rot. I have a manifold that allows me to turn off the water to a single fixture if I need to make a repair. I don't have to shut off the main valve and disrupt the rest of my family. I even added a line to my refrigerator in my garage and didn't need a plumber.

У них такая технология сборки дом. Он сейчас смонтирует водопровод. Придет надзор поставит галочку о приемуе. Придут следующие положат вату в стены и зашют. Вот лично сеня поражает что у них точно также провода идут. Без гофры, каналов просто в стене в вате.

Good stuff ..me personally .I like transitioning to copper rite before stubbing out...reason being ,I like to feel it solid and strapped..no flimsy pipe dangling around ,so therefore can now use a quarter turn ,compression, anglestop, for copper pipe..instead of PEX angle stops...but that's just me...keep doing your thing brothers ,..stay safe ..and dont forget to lock up your work van/trucks👍🏼

This for sure looks way easier! I have never seen plastic pipe being used for drinking water though.. My in-floor-heating has some special pöastic pipe...but for drinking water I do not know if code allows it in Europe...

I had a handicapped addition built to accommodate a family member. PEX made it much easier to connect the 700 square foot addition to the main houses water supply.
Pro tip: run your lines at the exact level where its code for electricians to place receptacles

You new builders sure got it easy to build now. Before industry caught up we had to design are own support parts.
A cap or tape on the ends of that pex before running it can save a lot of trouble later.
Anyone who installs something with an aerator before running flow through the line would agree.. they would also qualify as busted scrubs
Caps would be great . So many times, big splinters end up stuck in fridge valves, etc. Please plug the lines during the pipe run...
