Her books on her life in domestic service are a great read as are her travel books .She wrote some very amusing ( and caustic ! ) accounts of her trips to North America , Europe and Australia.
@@stevewright7745 thank you Steve. Yes, I remember as a child hearing her laugh when she visited, so that bit was not put on, though of course she had had a tipple from the look of it there, so it was a bit more exaggerated!
Hello. Any influence you may have to encourage a dvd release of ' Beryl's Lot ' should be welcomed. You might offer to contribute some cover notes. Have you you heard this, please, too ?:- ruclips.net/video/J1WeZf9VCUM/видео.htmlsi=3bx5BtwyYkZ38_aF
Dear Miss Baddeley looked embarrassed for this gobby below stairs creature, who actually did write the original works that went on to become the idea for Upstairs Downstairs. But oh my, Margaret was very 'common'. Loved her books.
I'm just reading her books. They're very entertaining and great fun. It's nice to have the chance to see her on TV.

She is so delightfully cheeky and clever. I enjoyed her books so much. I wish more of her books were easier to come by

What a wonderful lady! Xxxx
Enjoyed her book
I really enjoyed seeing that clip. Margaret Powell was my auntie. I wonder what year that was made?
I reckon it was around 1975/76, sorry I can't be more precise, your Auntie was quite a bubbly lady.

This programme - 'Russell Harty' - was broadcast by ITV / LWT on Friday 18th October 1974. I hope this is of interest.
@@Creighton-Jones many thanks for your comment and for those dates.
