I've always wanted to get a squad of friends to get the Tommy guns like the Italian Mob is stereotyped to use a lot and go on the field with nice suits, dress suits and fedoras.
Then on weekends wear socks with sandals.
That sounds awesome! If you do, totally make a video!
Damn.
I somehow just refound this comment.
I sounded like such a geek.
"Heuheu alright guys listen up yah cunts. I want to just get a group of friends yah see. Get Italian style Thompsons. And just go out in nice suits with dress shoes on and some nice fedoras. And just be all badash!!! Heu"
Ok you have inspired me to do this
+Clayton W *You're.
Am I the only one who thinks a Thompson looks best with the stick mag?
no
you have right
no it looks great
+S. Eriksson seems like u know ur stuff
wrong
It'd be nice if every gun on this video wasn't "OUT OF STOCK", "DISCONTINUED", or cost more than an actual gun.
You are right and that makes me depressed
The costs more than an actual gun is so true😂
Amen 🙏
Dude I looked and it was like 300 bucks for a pistol, no thanks😒
out of stock at this point means discontinued on a lot of the old guns like these. It sucks
My great grandpa was a master sergeant in the US military during world war two. He actually brought home a Luger, Nazi armbands, some German helmets, and some pictures he took (one of them was a picture of one of Hitlers many houses!). I recently looked through most of this and it was really interesting.
It's funny how you can buy a REAL mosin nagant sniper for $160, or you can buy a Airsoft one for $300+ Dollars :/
But you can shoot people with the airsoft one so it's funner to use
XD
Ben W I mean you can shoot people with the real gun
Zach S exactly
or buy a ak 47 500$ or buy ak47 airsoft version for 1800$
No Garand, Carbine, BAR? *goes away from computer crying for the rest of the night*
+ThePoopMaster01 Garand should have been here. The BAR is like 500$ sadly
+ThePoopMaster01 ACM/Echo1 makes a BAR.
+ThePoopMaster01 www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=20205 here's the M1 grand they have
+Burningsheep Gaming springers suck and its not good for reenactment because in real life it fires semi auto
I know it fires semi-auto in real life but that's the only one i could find... That's something i don't like about airsoft. You can't have an airsoft CBJ-MS, nobody makes it...seppä hinkkanen
The Mp18 was the first submachine gun
Yeah even older than the thompson
Ikr
wasn't the first but it was the first useful one
+gavin banwell Mp18 was good weapon.
+Captain Co James not saying it wasn't, I said it was the first good smg
Wasn't the mp-18 the first sub machinegun
Raptor Man he means the first gun marketed as a submachine gun
Raptor Man nein the berreta itallian top magazine thingimajig
Well the MP in MP-18 stands for Maschinenpistole, which is the german term for submachinegun
@@EmperorJavik he said branded and its machine pistol
@@talkidrew In german submachineguns are called Maschinenpistole as well. Not just machine pistols.
we miss you Bob!
What happened to him?
he just moved on to other things. him and tim made airsoft feel like it was for adults too. they were cool together
Omg.
This has nothing to do with the airsoft guns but you're like such a positive man. Your energy alone is making me watch this.
@@sypriz Damn
funny how the grease gun is more expensive than the thompson when it's the exact opposite in real life.
best airsoft reviews on RUclips. good job
No soviet weaponry? :(
Drdtf
they have a ppsh
Not in the vid
Harrison Fournier Mudder Ruzza gunnes r trashe.
PPSH :(
Was this guy fired or switched jobs haven’t seen him in any newer videos
I like how he says his favorite gun is the kar98k (the most expensive gun in the video)
I have a real P-38 from WWII. It was made in a factory outside of Berlin in July of 1944, and I still use it to this day. It is incredibly smooth and fires like a dream. It truly is a testament to German engineering.
Are there any airsoft Japanese arisakas? I've always wanted one but can't seem to find any
Bootertooter Not really, Arisakas are not really in a high demand. why would you want? Japanese infantry load out?
yeah
Go to ww2 guns .com
There are some but they are very expensive, around $655
Go the ehobby asia
World at war fans are drooling right now
Congrats again Airsoft GI, you got history wrong. The Thompson Submachine Gun was not officially known as the "Annihilator." That was one of its many nicknames, along with Tommy Gun, the Chicago Typewriter, the Chopper, and a few others.
Rob The Closer Its funny actually, he has no idea what the hell he's saying 😂
The gun was called the annihilator its in bf1 and supposed to be shipped 2 days after the war ended it was called the Thompson annihaltor and looked a little bit like a tommy gun but didnt have a stock
And just with the Vertical Grip looks good with the Drum Mag in my opinion.
you should have left the 1911 out cause its owned by pretty much every airsofter and has about 90 different modernized variants
I'm glad you send not every German had a Mp-40 I'm a German WW2 reenactor in the Midwest and I hate at times were everyone thinks that ever German soldat (soldier) had a Mp-40 and you are correct on the K98 the Germans heavily relied on their Mg42 since its role was not to suppress the enemy but to do all the "killing" first then the other infantry normally armed with a K98, G43,Mp44s would move in to finish the job
how he says "Sturmgewehr" :D it's funny because im german :D
I'm getting into German, isn't it pronounced "shturmgevair"? It's hard to type pronunciations lol
bikelife_shaw same
bikelife_shaw bist du deutsche
I own the cybergun Thompson. Its amazing.
First smg ever was the german MP 18
I'm sorry to correct you but you mean .45 not .45 ACP. ACP is licensed to Colt.
I see what your trying to say but you're not executing it right
Really he deleted his comments because he knew he was wrong smh
Yeah but it wasnt considered an smg rather a rifle so yeah the germans were the best and all but they werent smart enough to call it an smg before the americans did with the thompson
Julian Lopez guess what the German shortcut MP means: MaschinenPistole which translate into the english submachinegun, so the Germany designed and produced the first "true" SMG
I’m picky about historical accuracy so I want to know if that airsoft Thompson fires from an open bolt or not.
The coop772 of airsoft
That is true, but what Bob did say is true that the Thompson was the first to actually be marketed and called a sub-machine gun and the British purchased mostly civilian versions, the 21 and 28/28A1 as there had yet to been a true militarized grade Thompson (the M1/M1A1 models) at the time, so they would have been able to use the drum mags for the Thompson. If you look at pictures of some British soldiers with Thompsons, theirs have the cocking lever on top like a 28 as opposed to the side
If I remember correctly drum mags for the Thompson weren't used to during World War II.
Not true
Actually they did towards the end of the war
Yes dumbass
I know this is a year ago but I love Airsoft guns including The "BAR" Baby Strongest Rifle That I Ever Loved In My Life😍😍😍
the tompson in the 30s was called the chicogo type writer
Crazy Cow no, that's a nickname, not a designation
Trust me, 36:42 is the best part.
itd be nice if you guys restocked the AGM mp44s
Zach Opie I know right they are on sale to for 80 dollars and they don't even have them. Whats the point of putting it on sale?
Zach Opie Aw man that's a good price, they are usually $200 or more with a wood stock
Yup, the StG-44 fires a 7.92x33mm (7.92mm Kurz which is a shrunken version of the 7.92x57mm Mauser round used in the K98-variant rifles the Germans employed) in the real steel making it an intermediate cartridge (not a far cry from the 7.62x39mm round developed by the Soviets for use in their SKS carbine and later to be used in the AK-47 assault rifle) so this definitely fits the assault rifle category, while an MP40 fires 9mm which is a pistol round, making it a submachine gun.
They actually created the grease gun bc tanks would some times get over run and run out of ammo and ways to fend the enemy. So they created the grease gun, bad for a regular usage but great for CQB,in movies you would see soilders clear out building with the grease gun bc they are great for close quarter combat
The fuck did you get your history from?! Grease Gun was made to replace the Thompson. Thompson cost 200 and took 24 to make 1, M3 cost 20 and took 2 hours. Please please pleeeease don't go off movies. Makes you look stupid.
No, he was right. The M3 was cheaper, lighter, more efficient, and had just as much firepower as it fired the same cartridge as the Thompson.
the brits were issued with more 1928 and 28a1 thompsons than stens. the 28a1 was actually the first attempt at a simplified military version, as it was outfitted with a straight forestock. because of the expense, in 1942 the m1 was introduced which had a redesigned action(visible from the side mounted charging handle instead of the earlier top) and it could not take drums because of their unreliability. the m1a1 was later introduced which similar to the m1 but had a fixed firing pin.
No, the Thompson was always called the Thompson named after the creator of the weapon. "Annihilator" was just a nickname just as " Tommy Gun"
If I'm not completely wrong "Typewriter" was also a nickname. I think that most of the nicknames were for what you could actually call the "Tommy Gun" the M1921. As far as i know the army made Thompsons didn't really have so many nicknames.
Kikox its the Thompson M1928
I highly reccomend the Cybergun Thompson, while it is heavy, it's accurate and fun to play outdoors with, and can take a beating
The grease gun one has the battery in the mag. I like how they kept it just as unreliable as the real one.
I've never seen so many pretty darn cool things
Mg 42 hands down best weapon of ww2
Yes it shreds everything in it's way besides armored vehicles etc.
M1 GARAND BUTT HEAD
Mike Esman you, you do know the Garand didn't have a fire rate of 1200 RPM right?
@@pointingsoyjak4271 I would say the m1 granad is better do to the fact that they were issued to all amarican rifle men, and like he said in the video, the mg42/34 were only given to one person per infantry squad. So over all the amaricans would have more fire power
@@JoeB2425 you’re setting up different parameters than what I saw in the original comment, I figured it was like a head on 1 on 1 between the garand and mg42
FYI the bakelite plastic on the MP-40 is authentic. it was used to protect the users hands from burns as the mp40 is stamped steel and gets very hot when fired. also the gun just heats up from being in the sun in places like north africa.
How is this guy sweating by the end of the video
Maybe strong studio lights?
He picked up a Sturmgewehr, have you ever played COD WW2
WWII-era stuff is why I've had to put a hold on airsoft for now. Just bought two M1 Garands and plan to get a few more soon and have my money tied up in more real steel gear right now. Ugh, I need another universe to hold another job in.
no m1 garand
+Project Bravo Paintball www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=20205 M1 grand.
Bob is the mask you use the mI-7 same as the mI-3 because i have the mI-3 and look exactly the same just different color just wondering it has thermals lenses to purchased it from airsoft Gi.
Your German pronunciations are on point - and those guns are pretty damn sexy
before you hate on me for the previous comment, i gave GI a chance they have great prices and all its just their stock is low and it makes sence for their prices. i didnt just try to find any GI video to rip on them and praise evike "because their so great" or anything because i really liked GI's site. and no i didnt go to GI around christmas time
Flag is on the wrong shoulder.
TheRandomguy9999 they do it so that people don’t accuse them of stolen valor
the regular infantry used the mp40 aswell but they were usually - mortar crews(for personal defence) - submachine gunners - light support class(up until the FG42 and STG44 came) - and tank crewmen
its not the *MP44* its the STG-44 sturmgewher 44, and the *MP44* was never called like that.
Early versions were called the MkB42. Was called the MP44 by the designers because Hitler didn't want rifles, he wanted subs. He saw the MP, loved it then renamed it the STG44.
you guys dont have any ww2 airsoft loadouts at the office? the display image with the nylon canteen covers, h-harnesses from vietnam, and various other modern clothing really threw me off..
picks up sten mk2 smg calls it a paratrooper rifle. ......... (doctor evil voice) rrrrrrright
You are correct. The PPSH packed the raw firepower of an MG-42 and the weight and mobility of a large handgun, making it an extremely effective and versatile weapon in WWII.
ppsh ? mosin nagant ? tt tokarev ? where are the russian weapons ??
If you want a really good Soviet weapon used in WWII but in the realm of airsoft, check the S&T PPSH-41.
You look RIGHT holding a Luger. It fits perfectly.
they call the stg/mp 44 the first assault rifle, what the hell would the fedorov avtomat be?
They would call it another russian try to copy a weapon (look at some of their prototypes and u can't deny that they copied)
Manuel Kaserer Dont't want to be the atypical troll, but the Federov came before the stg :/
Exactly what I was thinking
The mp 44 was what the first model was named because they hid it from hitler and when they showed it to him he liked it so they re named it the stg 44
kidsandpot i know, he didn't want an other new gun with another unique caliber.
but im talking about the fedorov avtomat m1916
The p38 wasn't issued just late war, it was issued to those who needed a sidearm at the beginning of the war as well, and the P08 wasn't issued to officers, nothing was except a cavalry saber, they would have to buy their own uniforms and pistols, of course though they could buy a P08, and the MP40 wasn't issued to SOME German officers it was issued to NONE of them, officers couldn't have any weapon except a saber and pistol don't trust everything you hear in this video
No m1 garand
The Thompson was my first gun! Took off the stock and put Velcro on the battery and the side of the gun. And now I have a 400 fps 15+ round pistol :)
Where is the M1 Garand?
i have that we tech m1911 and i can tell you its fantastic love having it as my side arm
You flag is on the wrong side
Free market Advocate where is it supposed to be at
It is supposed to be on the right side and his flag was made backwards
what type of mag does the MP44 take???
MP means "MachinePistole" Which Which obviously translates to An automatic Firearm that fires a pistol Caliber, The StrumGewehr 44 (Gewehr is pronounced "Goover" or just go on google translate) Fired a 7.92mm x 33mm Round which is a rifle Caliber making it the worlds first Assualt rifle.... So It really Really REALLY bothers me when Someone calls it a MP 44 which is the incorrect name.
+Sgt. RoeBuck Well the I rember the story with the STG 44 went is that Hitler originally did not approve of the rifle's production as he so no use for it. Some of his higher ups did and cleared the gun's production and the "MP" was used to disguise the gun from Hitler. Later being shown the guns effectiveness Hitler him self named the rifle the Strumgewer 44. Plus the name MP 44 is convenient for airsoft manufactures as most of the time they want to avoid using real gun names and designations.
+LermanCT that is correct! you deserve a cookie! that other guy tho, shouldn't get annoyed when he doesn't know the while story
Maschinepistole*
The AVT was the first AR.
Tjeerd De Limburger not true. What happened was the designers if it showed Hitler, and he hated it. Hitler only liked submachine guns or machine pistols such as the mp40 so he wanted to invest. He said to stop the production of stg. The people disregarded him and gave it a new name, the mp44 so Hitler thought it was a machine pistol if he saw the name on paper. After weeks all the troops with the stg/mp44 were out gunning russian troops. Theb when one of the generals in a conference meeting slipped up and said "we need more of those new rifles" Hitler hearing this demanding to know about new rifle. So they showed him the gun and the damage it has done and he loved it and put it in production. However it was a little late because the war was already a lost cost for them
+Matteo Milazzo m pretty much how I heard it.
I ordered the luger and it's getting delivered tomorrow soooo excited
The Russians did most of the fighting, yet their guns are not even shown???
Germany actually did most of the fighting
KieferDragoner As said before.
And to answer the original question, there are some ww2 russian weapons. S&T and 6mmproshop both make the ppsh. King Arms makes a gas powered Mosin Nagant. And Win Gun makes a nagant revolver. And there's a few tt-33 models on the market.
*****
Excuse me, you went through that whole paragraph and defined each clearly listed FACT as unintelligent and false?? lol Brainwashed much?
Toronto PB If russia didnt who did?
You seem to have forgot that the Luger carbines and snail drums were only used in ww1, so thats actually incorrect
99% of people watching this video only knows these weapons by playing cod world at war
no..no NO NO quit assuming that all airsofters are gamers...... iv now about these guns from books...I KNOW A BOOK RIGHT...IT IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE NEVER HERD OF.....THIS MYSTICAL DEVICE TEACHES YOU THINGS
You know what, we are out side playing airsoft. Not sitting on our hams playing CoD.
Yeah and they forgot the classic Russian ppsh-1
@@brysondowell3045 heard* clearly havent read many books
Here is some info on the different types of Tommy Guns All Thompson submachine guns fired from open bolt. The cocking handle was located on the top of receiver on Models of 1921 and 1928, ad on the right side of the receiver on models M1 and M1A1. Separate manual safety and fire mode selector levers were located on the left side of receiver, above the trigger. Barrel was usually partially finned, and on model 1928, fitted with so-called Cutts compensator (not present on M1 and M1A1). Feed was from double-row box magazines containing 20 or 30 rounds, or drum magazines holding 50 or 100 rounds. Box magazines were inserted into the magazine slot from below; drum magazines were inserted into the same slot from the side. Drum magazines were not available for M1 and M1A1 submachine guns.
Did u copy and paste this
Yes I did, And here is the link: modernfirearms.net/en/submachine-guns/u-s-a-submachine-guns/thompson-eng/
When he said MP 40 who instantly thought call of duty?
nobody
Wrong about the Thompson, the MP18 was actually the first SMG. I wish they made an Airsoft version
we're were the Soviet weopans
dopdoocat
Are you trying to say that you were a Mosin Nagat or a PPSH-41 or some other Soviet gun?
I'm not a gun I was wondering why there wasn't eny Soviet Airsoft guns in it
+dopdoocat fuckin bolsheviks
888nivek Fucking Capitalist.
@@Spooky_Flops69 fuckin' commie
That's why I said and I quote "the best SUB MACHINE GUN" which implies close quarters. Also the high rate of fire almost had no affect on the recoil especially when the gun had stick mags and not the drum mag but it was still stable and I am the happiest person in the world to have had the privilege to fire the actual thing originally built in 1942 with both the drum and stick mag and trust me it has a very controllable recoil all the way up to about 100 meters at best and it is very stable.
Reject modern weapons, go back to WWII
Correct, it was. The MP 44 started life as the MP 43, or machine pistol, 1943. Hitler saw the design specs, and banned production, he wanted SMG's (MP 40's). So, the factories made MP 44's anyway. Hitler inspected his troops, saw the gun, and fell in love with it. He renamed it the STG 44, meaning storm rifle, 1944.
Roses are red
Violets... Wait violets are blue?
Violets are violet
NOT @$&%ING BLUE!!
Ducking, Locking, Mocking? The hell are you trying to say what the point of this censorship.
I like this it made me laugh
Jack Wang roses are red, here's something new, violets are violet, not f*cking blue
So you have both the Thompson and a drum mag, which somehow you "can't guarantee will work" even though you could load them and just simply try it out at any time? Not buying from you guys anytime soon.
My great grandpa brought back a dead German officers p38
How far can the real one shoot?
doctor pepper shet
Wish I had a gun like that...
because not only airsoft gi did not have it in their possession but the garand is also a rare item in the airsoft world and even now they are just coming out with an aeg varient. also this was of june of last year
It's very entertaining to witness a grown man giggle to himself because he said tutu.
Any places to buy the uniforms?
I want to eventually make a WWII Battle Reenactment some day..
Nice guns btw, I will definitely check them all out
And that Kar98k looks awesome too!
great review for the excellent well-made replicas
ahh I love the Sten Tommy and 1911
Thanks getting the AGM Full Metal MKII Sten
That PO8 LUGER IS SO COOL
I know about all of them. The company I was that made the Nagant I wanted made it out of real wood and the feeding system was flawless because it was ALL steal construction, not a bit of plastic throughout the entire gun but as I said, it was discontinued, oh well.
Totally agree. Still waiting for some Mosin Nagants and Arisakas, although I think someone has a Nambu and they do have PPSh replicas, although I can't remember if they have an SVT-40 or not. A G43 would be nice and still waiting for affordable Enfields, 1903s, Carcanos, and Garands, let alone a 1919, MG34 and MG42, an M2, and a Type 92 or Type 99, a BAR, FG 42, DP-28, Bren, and so on and so forth...
Great video aside from the fact that it was literally impossible to put a drum mag on a M1A1 Thompson. Also, the British didn’t use the M1A1 Thompson, but they used the M1928 Thompson instead.
Version of p08 with stock and long barrel was only used in ww1. The thompson drum mag wasn't used in military
The MP18 (MaschinenPistol 1918) (Machine Pistol 1918) was the first SMG. Just like the Russian Fedorov was the first select fire rifle.
my right ear really enjoyed this
The sound of this video reminds me of standing inside a large warehouse right next to the beach.
I miss this dude
don't get me wrong i love asgi but actually bob the grease gun was made because it was more compact and it was compact because it was given to tank squads the thomson is long and heavy so having a light short automatic weapon inside of cramped tank was very helpful
the grease gun has been discontinued
yes and?
You and Bob are right bruh
Not to mention the Thompson took around 12 hours to produce and cost $300. The m3 grease gun could be made in 2 hours for $30.
Ok. So there is a snail drum magazine for the Luger po8... so why don’t we have an mp18? They take the same magazines.
please correct me if im wrong, but the first submachinegun was the mp18 schmisser, it was a sub machine gun in WWI by the german military and ran the same 9mm luger cartriage
Man, now this really makes me want to create my long dreamed Us, UK, Russian, and German World War 2 loadouts!
A Japanese company called Marushin released a GBB M1 Garand in several versions. It's a fantastic airsoft replica but it's pretty hard to find now. I've heard about some company releasing an AEG M1 Garand soon.
The German sub was also given to MP please correct me if I'm wrong but I am think they patrolled with all sorts of guns.
