One miss here is the Grom has a single spine frame vs the Benelli trellis frame being much stronger and rigid especially on side loading. Add 41mm vs 31mm forks and you a much stronger platform. You’re have to spend $850 plus labor to get the Grom a 4 valve head, and who doesn’t like the analog tach over a LCD. Benelli seams like a much better value for money and I own two other Honda motorcycles.
My friend and I went to a motorcycle shop today to check out some gear and were set on Honda Groms, but so hard to find NEW out here, so we ended up sitting on the Benelux they had their and almost are completely convinced just haven’t sat on the Honda Grom to make a full and final decision. I think the price on the TNT is about $400 less than the Grom new MSRP.. Id go Grom, also with the much larger aftermarket and dealer support.. Also can get ABS on the Grom now and it is a 5spd also. But the TNT especially in the bright green color looks awesome.. At one point at the beginning you hit the rev limiter on the highway in top gear. Nice comparison! I have both and agree with your thoughts, grom feels tighter overall but benelli is more comfortable and less harsh (I also don't have the bad vibrations people mention) at speed. @@SmallBikeStuff yup definitely, when one is comparing a 4 gear transmission bike vs a 5 gear, when clearing there is a 5 gear version for the Grom available. Didn't state it's a sponsored video or anything. Should have stated upfront to made it worth the viewers time.
OK, the Benelli is a Grom clone just like the various Vaders. The problem I see most about the clones are poor quality control issues (welding, cheap metal parts, poor quality bolts etc) and the need to substitute Honda parts into the clone to make it more reliable. So, is the Benelli quality closer to the Vader clones or closer to the Grom quality?
I had new 1st n 2nd gen groms in the UK, i bought a tnt 125 and it was evenly matched but the benelli beat it on steep hills, for the money the tnt has so many good points over the Honda but new plugs and leads make a difference on the 1st gen models, not ridden the newer ones but for the money the Honda had crappy tires, seat and suspension so that bumped the cost of improving it from new much more money so the tnt is a no brainer unless you want to mod it heavily as the motor is hard to tune even with a big bore kit, but can fit bigger motors if you have the skills.
@elcpc thanks. Yeah, I figured that out later after I actually saw one. I figured it couldn't be like that & if it is was, it was definitely a 1 year design flaw lol

@@SmallBikeStuff yup definitely, when one is comparing a 4 gear transmission bike vs a 5 gear, when clearing there is a 5 gear version for the Grom available. Didn't state it's a sponsored video or anything. Should have stated upfront to made it worth the viewers time.
@@thefellcor 🤣🤣🤣
Freedom units... Outstanding...
Thanks for watching!
BENELLI tnt 135 is true beautiful bike ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It does look awesome!
hi, for bikes like these…are motorcycle licenses needed? im tryna learn before i go and purchase anything
Yes they require licenses. Thanks for watching!
When it came to him being the better rider does he weigh more or less than you?
We were the same when filming. Now I’m a bit bigger 🤣🤣🤣
Do we need a motorcycle license to drive this here in NZ? Which one do you reckon suits for first riders?
Yes, learners motorcycle license is the minimum requirement
Proper review indeed
Appreciate the view!
Good info! Thanks for watching!
Ducati mini fun bike. Sexy exhaust pipes + iron bars. Better choice ! 😀😆🤣
They are the same price here in iowa
Interesting!
Tnt cost less, has better suspension, looks better and has more power.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you to you and cos that was good respect
Thanks for watching mate. Appreciate it.
I didn't know you couldn't have it in neutral w/ the kickstand down. Kind of a bummer, but it is so light probably wouldn't matter much
Thanks for watching!
Mine runs with the kickstand down...until you put it in gear, then it cuts out...but it idles in neutral on the side stand, no problem.
@elcpc thanks. Yeah, I figured that out later after I actually saw one. I figured it couldn't be like that & if it is was, it was definitely a 1 year design flaw lol
I would have liked to know “Why?”
Ken would have chosen the Bernelli ...
If it were me, the only reason would be the little extra power, and miles per hour, but i would still keep my 2023 ABS grom.
They just used a tack set for a 4 speed prob idk tho like both of em
Yeah they do look good, both of them.
Have Gromie Bear test it out.
Great suggestion!
not sure the N light is a detraction.. id just use it to know im in 5th so you dont ghost shift
Good idea! Thanks for watching!
Eh... as long as you're having fun!
I have a 2001 Bandit 1200S that a 5 gear really anoying it will power wheelie in 3rd gear.
Thanks for watching!
The 2022 Grom is all new and even better than the previous Grom you have in this video. Can't beat Honda quality and reputation. Grom is a better bike overall.
Look into the transmission issue on the new grom.
@@bfarm44 There is no transmission issue. The transmission sounds different because it's new and a 5-speed. There are people complaining about the sound, because it's different, but I'm not seeing anyone with breakdowns. My Grom makes the same noise. Honda says it's the normal noise this transmission makes.
I have the 5speed abs Grom no issues yet 1000miles. I can't get it near 60mph unless I'm flat on seat and has to be flat. I'm going to test ride new 125 Benelli in an hour. If it can do same speed I'll buy
@@jamesgeorgevellavella1961 let me know! benelli or grom?
"it looks like a Suzuki GN125 motor"
You know... Yes it does!
also, my GN125 had that sidestand swtich. I was able to put the sidestand back down after starting it just fine. I imagine this bike is the same.
Thanks for watching!
My binelli has 40kmiles shit is still alive
Good distance!
How about benelli 150?
Haven't ridden it.
Ow...
Holy shit I only hit 75 mph on the 135.
I’m in New Zealand. We use KPH.
Wooow ....nice bro
The Benelli has a real frame
Thanks for watching!
For those of you who need freedom units 😂
Haha gotta make sure we accommodate for all!
If only I could understand him 🤔
I speak tooo fast! Haha
@@SmallBikeStuff ok 😊
Everything is nice and easy and wholesole until the SUZUKI RAIDER R150 arrived there. Bro you should review that beast from SUZUKI someday
Benelli TNT looks better to me
It does look cool!
with bikw stick in nuetral it dont have the proper power
Thanks for watching!
A rider should always ride the seat near the front and not ride way back on the seal
Thanks for watching!
Speed 👎 não good for 125cc
Don't be fooled by the name. It's made by Ojanjiang which is a Chinese company that owns Benelli. Junk as far as I'm concerned. Honda all day.
Fair enough! Thanks for watching!
Seems like you got some paid trolls on here. Appreciate the video. Gonna look into buying one of these, but need to get my motorcycle license. Good Stuff Sir!
Except they are completely reliable and your full of crap
You gotta learn to downshift
Thanks for watching!
Chinese manufacture and assembly. No spare parts available. Lousy tires. No heritage for incremental improvements/dealing with issues.
Thanks for watching!
BRO ITS MAKING ME SO MAD THAT YOUR RIDING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD
That sounds like a YOU problem my friend.
I know the metric system is definitely superior to our made up units of measurement, but what is the reasoning for left or right road travel? Genuinely curious.
Kann man die Benelli 135 auch mit einem Autoführerschein fahren?
In my country we need a motorcycle license for it.
Yea, I looked at the specs and it’s actually 11.9 horsepower not 13.
135 was closer to 13. The newer 125 is lower.
