Can't wait to see your Promoted Listings video! I have been promoting for almost a year and haven't really seen a drastic improvement in sales. I've changed the percentage, added coupons, etc. Looking forward to your views on it.

I tried promoted listings. The first two months were amazing! Now it's like crickets. So disappointing. I wonder if ebay gives you a boost when you first start then tapers you off to get you to promote at a higher percentage

Congrats, quite an accomplishment. I’m finding a combo of promoted listings and reducing price have helped me move some older inventory. Looking forward to the video on your method.
it's smart to budget in cost of goods, the price of running ads. But it isn't always easy to have the extra margins. This is why prices keep going up and up. Everything costs more to get in front of users, and everyone in between trying to get a bigger piece of the pie.

Hello! If you wanted to provide good customer service, I'd ask her to send pics (if she hasn't already), then I'd refund them if it's true (I doubt you want it shipped back), then from there try to create a claim with USPS if you have insurance on the package.
I've been wanting to tell you that you should turn on offers. I get so many sales that way. You can still counter low ones. Or just turn them on once they hit 90 days old etc. I cant imagine how high your sales would be if you did. ❤ you do so great! Goals.

I have about 7.6k active listings.
The blue Adriana Papell dress is simple and pretty and isn’t matronly. It’s a good size. It has a lot going for it, and the name brand is not one of the things that would’ve mattered if somebody’s looking for a dress- in my opinion. The name would say that it’s a good quality dress, but the style is something I could see lots of people being drawn to.

eBay Promoted listings charge the fee if the buyer clicked on the eBay listing at any time but then bought on another platform, do you see it having an impact on your fee charges?
I will do a more detailed video on this soon. But, there are 2 kinds of promoted listings, one is pay per click and one is only if they item sells.

99% of my inventory is thrifted. I do buy wholesale from people who thrift for me.

Did you do a flat percentage across the board or did you use their recommended rate per item? I’ve used promoted listings at 4% across the board on every item and have not seen any change in sales. It’s been about 4 months now.

How long do you wait before sending out offers to watchers? Sometimes I want a quick sale so I’ve sent out offers the same day or the day after listing it 😬
I send out offers to watchers in bulk multiple times a day.
@@cayleyelaine I noticed sometimes you say this was sold offer to watcher, is that both on ebay and mercari? What percent of sales do you think is sold full price, best offer, or offer to watcher? I mean, mine might be 60% full-price, 35% best offer (usually on Mercari), 5% offer to watchers - I don't send out that many offers to watchers! Maybe I should?

Similar to that Schaeffer's shirt, keep an eye out for men's athletic t-shirts by the brand Ten Thousand. They look very unassuming but have an over 100% STR! I just sold one with a faint stain on it for $15. They sell for more in great condition, obv. 🙃

ten thousand is the bomb. i just sold one of their t-shirts for $23. It was the only time someone has asked me for an extra measurement and they actually purchased the item afterwards. and they left glowing feedback.
the shorts, specifically the "interval" short, sell really well. 165% STR and you can usually get at least $30 depending on size and color. easy to spot on the rack, just look for the big X logo. thrifts don't clock it.

I’m confused I thought you did not offer best offer? Is that offers that you sent or you do accept best offer? 🤷♀️
Hi! When I initially list an item, I do not accept best offer. You can still send offers to watchers on these items. After an item becomes stale, I will drop the price and usually turn on best offer then

Currently at 40 a day.
How come your titles dont use the keywords? Like the affliction zip up you said y2k but it wasnt on the title why not?
I have employees who are still learning to add certain keywords to the titles :) Brands that are really popular (like affliction) probably don't need the aesthetic keywords to get them in front of the buyer.

No, not the first time. I have dabbled with it here and there. But this is the first time I really went all in to to try it.
@@cayleyelaine I will watch when you do the video on this. I was using it where it changed daily to recommended % until one day I sold an item and the advertising fee was 20%! That was enough. I bulk edited down to 4% on all my listings. My sales are growing and my take home is up 36% on ebay. I also went "free returns" and that's also helping. (thank you) But I have also gone from 3-4 to 7-8 daily listings and it's all showing up now! I heard you say changes take time. I made big changes this year in inventory and number of daily listings and it's exciting it's working! I love your videos. You are one of the best out here not only in sales. I started sharing to poshmark 3/1 and that's going super slow but mindless to do with LP and making more than it's costing for software to do it. I was considering promoting on that platform but from what I researched that's a bad idea!!??

is this math adding up? you actually paid almost 25% in fees to sell a item?
4:03 is where I breakdown how much I paid in promoted listing fees. Which was 6-7%. Total fees (which includes promoted listings) was about 18% of my gross sales. If you add in my shipping costs, it's close to 30% of my total gross sales.
@@cayleyelaine so you promote @ 6-7% over the standard 13% selling fee on ebay? how much does the selling fee end up running you on poshmark if you are promoting there too (on top of their already high 20% selling fee)?
@susanneal4295 I am not promoting on Poshmark. Just ebay. This is my first month going all in on promoted listings on Ebay. I will have a video soon with all the details.
poshmark is done. even the live shows are fixed. only the same people get the viewers. everyone else is 10 or less veiwers. posh is finished. im happy.
