Klick rose, red ones are permanent live
Yep 👍
Red ones are not permanent live, red ones have a permanent live inside aswell as a switch live for emergency lighting
Klik rose, they are made by Hager. They also do Klik boxes, which are multi connection units. The red plug is for emergency fittings with maintained supply.
I've always called them rock roses. Used to be made by Rock Ashley before hager brought them out
Respect for remembering good old Ashley - Ashley Rock. If I remember right the sockets were blue on the back 👍
You spelt Rick wrong
klik rose, rock rose, pcr200. Can get them flexed up ready. Saves a lot of time on site. Can also get them with two live pins, the plug is red, meant for emergency fittings. We often use them for occupancy sensors though.
Klik rose, white plugs are 3 pin & 4 pin for emergency lights, they also make multiple versions. Handy for office refurbs 👍
Klik rose, I used these for led batten lights in a carpark converting from the old sodium lamps. The great thing is, no need to isolate the supply, turning all the lights out if you need to change one fitting.
Officially they are luminaire supporting couplers (LSC) as mentioned on page 37 of BS7671.
However there are different brands and one of the most popular is the Hager Klik (manufacturers brand name), made to go into a LCM (Lighting Control Module).
I didn’t know any of this before hand, however as an adult student who is also a geek at researching stuff I doesn’t know, I thought I should look it up so I don’t look silly if ever asked. Even Hager documents call them luminaire supporting couplers (LSC).
Always knew them just as plug in ceiling roses. 3 and 4 terminal types. MK and Klik were the common makes I came across.
Its a Klik or a Klik Rose. Some Jurassic sparks still call them Greg's. Apparently that's what they were called years ago.
We used to have the ones with a 5A BS546 style plug inside for the ceiling lights at the student union debating chamber (PAR 38 recessed cans), was my job as a trainee to climb above the suspended ceiling (make sure you step on the metal ribs!) and unplug them, then lower the can down on a rope to be relamped... happy memories
Klik system, awesome for running loads of lights of a marshalling box above a suspended ceiling 👌🏻
I have Flexispot desk too in white with 4 mode buttons. It's great and much cheaper than Ikea! 👍👌
Good to see you've finally joined team red.
Klik rose, white SL only and red for EM lighting
Klick rose ! two types available - the White one you showed was the non emergency one so loop in / sw live / Neutral / Earth. The Red klick has the addition of a Permanent live.
nice up grade as desk are getting better for office and kids gaming stations.
They are klik plugs but thats a brand name which hager bought out so its now hager klik. Other no name brands are normally just called a pre wired ceiling rose or a conduit box ceiling rose.
Klik lighting sockets, great for office refurbs
Hi bundy happy easter from Malta
Back in my day 30 years ago I always called them a Klick ceiling rose.
I've always called them Klik connectors.
In my TLC Electrical catalogue as a Klik rose!
as always good video keep up the good work
Will call these the Greg Bundys from now on ⚡️
Greig to me too. Plug-n ceiling rose, but the very originals were a compny called Greig as far as I know.
WTF though, I'm only a Jurassic spark
1:56 I’ve always known them as a rock rose 🤷🏻♂️
We got shut of a load of those standing desks in various offices as they were a waste of money unless there was a specific purpose. Someone with a bad back had one ordered and it was of great use to him while he was in a huge plaster case, but then a load of overweight women that thought it would make them slim suddenly wanted them. You know the type, every office has them - they will eat a lettuce leaf and put lemon in hot water, then go home to a takeaway and 10pints. After a day of using them, ordered at vast expense I must add, they stopped standing at them and soon got back on their special chairs. The standing desks hurt their knees, feet, legs, back etc, every excuse going.
For most, the novelty wore off quickly, they were a waste of money and never used as intended.
Preflexed ones are even handier
Greg or PCR (plug in ceiling rose) PCR 2000 for the standard ones or PCR 64 for 4 pin emergency!
Same, reading through the comments thought I was the only one
Nevermind the klik rose, that tower set up like that is a bit on the dangerous side dude.
Welcome to the M12 revolution, hardly use anything 18v unless it’s a grinder or larger SDS drilling.
You have to get the band saw and the circular saw (swap blade for a metal cutting one) if your doing containment save ton of time
Im only an apprentice so could be a stupid question but does it not defeat the purpose of putting in the klik or a Greg as you call it and then running a flex to a click connector to join into the flex coming from the light.
the original connection point is further from where they want to put there new lights, instead of adjusting the wiring they've used the click to extend the cable as to reach the flex off of the bay light... if that helps you buddy
btw as an apprentice nothing is a stupid question, soak up as much as you can and ask if unsure... sparks would much rather explain something to you rather than fix your fuck ups... an if your being told that your asking stupid questions probably not the best place to learn
You love that camera LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I called them Greg's. That's what they were referred to when I was a apprentice
I call them clicks now
Klik rose for hager Klik, PCR for a generic term (Plugin ceiling rose) 👍🏻
Ooo Milwaukee! Hope they've sent a good mix of 12&18V kit for you to try out 🥳
I know a guy who can look after your Bosch batteries if team red is here to stay 😏😆
They are called handy! But £3.75 lol
Was that a cheeky snap shot of the new tool brand when you were putting the desk together?
Rock Rose
I wasnt paying full attention and initially thought that was Adam! 😮😮😮
Definitely a Marathon only new school call it a Snickers 😊
(A Greg by the way but as you may of guessed I’m ancient)
It's a klik plug in rose .
Those appear to be Hager Klik connectors.
Rock rose
shock horror no ferrules on that flex , oh naughty nick
Luminair supporting connector or something like that
Klit box. I can never find them
I’ve literally done 1000 that I forgot to put the cap on before the plug.. 🤦♂️
Duraplug 13A plugtops were famous for that LOL, you almost never found one without the cord entry snipped...
I always knew them as click roses onsite, I can’t remember if that was the brand name??
Defo called a Greg 👍
That Milwaukee drill looks almost as if it’s fresh out of the box 👀
Na found it in a loft mate
I call BS
Plug in ceiling rose
the future
Looks like you’ve got the male and female click plugs the wrong way round.
Klik connector by Hager I think
If I am not mistaken @residualcurrent called it a Greg, and suggested it was because they were first referenced in a GREen Guide.
Always been a rock rose for me.
That wasn't a bosch drill mate, is that a teaser to your new tool supplier
👀
Klik or rock rose
Never heard greg!
Easy, klik rose :)
Red ones are 4 pin kliks
clip rose
Definitely called a klik where I'm from 😂 out of curiosity what is the new camera? Osmo pocket?
Yes mate , I really like it so far
Is it the new pocket 3? I have the 2 at the moment debating the upgrade
@@braters1993 yes mate so far so good compared to GoPro
in ireland its a 3 pin click or 4 pin click nick mate who cares as long as it works
Rock rose, Hager klik rose.
Klik rose or a Greg
It’s deffo a Greg😂 also what’s the name of your boots again?
Blue steel I think bud
Interesting, I'd never refer to these as a greg, in my mind a greg was the old style where the connector was a 2A BS546 with twist off cover on the terminals, and the socket was usual porcelin. I'd not call the modern klik roses, even though they replaced them and therefore I can see why some of the old skool might do so.... but who am I to talk?, I think I wrote a circuit discription down the other day as being a "Halon panel" when its something like FM200 or Novec these days.....
Greg socket
Where does this term come from?
@@anthonybragg
"Luminaire Support Couplers were introduced to the UK market in the early 1980s and coincided with the first amendments to 15th Edition of the Wiring Regulations:1983 & 1984 (Green Cover) where they were first defined. I believe these became linked together in Sparky slang as a contraction of Green Regulations ie. Gregs = Luminaire Support Couplers or LSCs"
@@tarmaccowboy4939 Thanks, I remember the old type Rock/Ashley ones but I have never had a fellow electrician call them a Greg but I now can see where the slang term came from.
I call them klix I know thats a brand name but is what it is
Gregg rose
Does Gregory not want ferrules?
Great video but that scaffold was scary if you are doing a lot of towers well worth getting yourself on a PASMA course to learn how to put them up safely
I did the hi-bays in my unit, borrowed a platform lift from the warehouse next door at night when they wernt using it . then went on youtube to learn how to use it. thats the way to do it.
Always called them Klicks. Even the one's made by MEM.
Ceiling rose ??
We call them a klik on our jobs
You got pasma Nick?
I just call them klik base and klik plugs
Greg(g)
Klick rose
Greg rose
Klick Rose
Gregg
It's clearly a greg
Greg but old skool name...less common nowadays
3 pin klick
it looks like a click connector
PCR!
It’s called a Greg
Knew it
Why don't know
There called clicks 😂
Klik or Rock Rose, but they’re brand names rather than the proper name!
Your working at height procedures are dangerously against h&s guidelines and do you have a PASMA licence , not a complete platform or kick boards🤷🏼♂️
Kick or a Greg
Klik rose
Klik Rose.
On another note……whatever happened to the 100k subs give away?
Most of them have been given out mate, only I think 3 things left like the iPad and fuseboard dude
I’ll take the iPad off your hands if you’re struggling to get rid?! 😜
a "Greg"
no idea why though
It’s a klik
klik plug
Unless you really do remove the chair then I am willing to bet that the desk will get little or no use in the standing position
Not being funny…you sure Adam didn’t do the dirty with your misses, that’s definitely his kid 😅
Adam’s only 7 years older than him so probably not 😂
loved the video. One major thing I have to mention though. Never walk around anybody with a the sharp edge pointing toward them!!! I cringed when you walked past your lad with the knife at had height and then continued walking around the room waving it about!!!! concentrate on safety, not how good your new camera is
