Where some may see scaffold tubes, others may see conduit. I'm sure a job will come up where a 4m bit of muckle conduit might be needed to run a supply from a house to a something or other in a garden?. . . or maybe even use one as a stripper pole for the unit?

Make sure if you get any of the battery storage stuff for off-grid use make sure it's not got grid following inverters. They need the grid to put out the correct sine wave by measuring the timings of the grid. There is another type which generates its own sine wave
Anytime you want to come up to A121 and have a go with some solar more than welcome. Likewise on a solar job. Ive got some nice all black panels you can have aswell to take home with you!

Hi mate, I’ve been installing solar for about 10 years, yes you can install solar of this type of roof intact it is one of the easiest roofs to install on

Feel exactly the same way, abhor waste and never throw away anything that might conceivably be used, repaired, or scavanged for parts and materials. Always on the look out for goodies going to scrap at work or skipped while out and about. I can let go of anything though, so long as it's of use to someone, love giving away on Freecycle and Facebook free stuff groups.

I tell what i think is stupid with regs is earth sleeving. Especially fit a metalnsocket thats earther but need to sleeve the earth makes no sense if your neat with your wiring its completely unnecessary and should never touch a conductor.

Why would you even consider throwing away scaffolding tubes? They'd end up being salvaged at the tip anyway. Maybe they could be melted down and turned into scaffolding tubes!?? 🤦♂️
