Dude I work the Metallica concert one time here in Orlando Florida I was standing around the center stage James and Kurt kept throwing guitar picks at the back of my head. I walked out with 30 guitar picks
Besides I gave out about 1000 guitar picks cause they just gave us boxes of guitar picks to hand out. They just didn't want to deal with the people I'm guessing?

Metallica I love, their music is on a different level. Old and new music they are still solid and sound absolutely fabulous.
They seemed really tight to me !!! I think he does what has to be done for thier music !! He works really hard I would say . His opinion isn't the best always but I dont.walk in his shoes !! Great informative video as always! Take care and stay safe my friend !!
Lars was a lot faster and more "on point" back in the day, but he's added a lot more soul to his drumming on this album! I actually think he has gotten better over the years.
72 seasons is the best album they put out since Justice!

People complaining about Lars is a meme at this point. They heard it from someone else so they regurgitate it out to other people. Lars is, what, 60? and putting out a kickass album??!?!

Lars' older stuff set him up for a lot of criticism. The stuff on 72 Seasons is better but the controversy is simply that Lars has trouble staying in the pocket. I think he messes up because he tries too hard to silence critics and reaches outside of his role. He has never been the real technical and creative type with the drums, but set the stage for metal drumming in the 80s. He focused more on evolving the band than he did on evolving his skill set. Which is not a bad thing.

Lars is great, he do what he should do, to make Metallica sound good imo, i dont like to compare him to any, just looking at how he does it for Metallica, is he selling the show..yes..
the advent of yt has meant the technical standard for musicians is higher than its ever been. But not all technical musicians are creative. Lars is too rich to deserve pity but he doesnt deserve it all either. he knows what to do and does it very well. Try a blast beat drummer in metallica. Or a death metal growler on vocals. theyll never work
I really don't understand why Lars gets so much shit. He's fantastic and he does it over and over again live. It's almost as sad as the asshats who shit on Kirk for using the wawa. It's part of the damn instrument! Anyway, these guys are, and have always been, amazing live.
