If you like what’s already happened to California, you’re going to LOVE what’s happening to Colorado right now.
I grew up in Boulder, lived in Denver for school, and now live in Broomfield. Especially the climate stuff is true here, but I'm a rainy weather person so I kind of hate it. I'm not a very outdoorsy person either so I don't care much for mountains or wildlife. As far as traffic goes... yep, that's what happens when you design a country for cars rather than an effective transit system. RTD is okay-ish but woefully inadequate.
Great job on the video, thanks man!
The dryness in Colorado is no joke. Just got back from a vacation in high-humidity Thailand and my body hasnt been able to adjust back. Skin peeling and sore throat every day. Also as someone who's lived here for over 20 years, I can confirm that the points made in this video are all valid and should be taken seriously before moving here.
I go to hole in the wall spots in Aurora, because Denver food truly does suck.
People who moved here anytime after 2012 were too late. I have lived here since 1993 and I'm planning on leaving for retirement.
The traffic coming back on 25 after work is so brutal, borderline demoralizing some days
I love this video. This really gave me insight no one else has shared.
All the cool people left Colo.
Regarding wildlife, you forgot to mention that we now get to worry about wolves in the mountains. Thanks to all the voters who don't spend much time in the mountains.
So glad you mentioned how the food sucks. Which is hilarious, because they consider themselves a foodie town.
Just stop moving here
Traffic sucks, but only certain routes and certain times, which stinks for all of you who are GPS dependent. Stay off the main routes, like 6th ave, or one of the interstates, and you can usually keep moving. Traffic hasnt been good the entire time ive lived here. 1989. The timing and the choke points have changed, but its never been "good" during commute times.
Reasons to not move here/to get the f outta here:
Hot hot summers
Cold cold winter nights and mornings
Hail
Dryness(lips,eyes snd nose are f-ed)
Migraines
Utterly destroyed roads-u gonna need a tank to drive on those
Denver traffic
I-70 corridor traffic
Traffic and closures on the highways in winter due to bad weather snd accidents and in summer due to never ending repaires after winter
Top 3 in the country by crime rate(violent crimes and property crimes)
Ocean of homelessness
Suuuuper expensive
Overall-craphole
Yes
Food tastes bland at high altitudes because lower air pressure and moisture effect taste sensitivity. The same reason why airline food sucks. Water also boils at a lower temperature, so things like coffee don't brew properly. People like spicy food like green chili because they can taste it.
Ya that and all the traffic
I've lived in Colorado my whole life and almost never have used lotion
Living in Denver is too expensive, and there are too many people in such a small space. The traffic sucks and so do the roads. Since we pay a lot to register our cars, you would think that our roads would be great, but they are not. When you are driving into Colorado, you can always tell that you are in Colorado because the roads get worse once you cross the state line. New Mexico is a poor state, and their roads and highways are a lot better than ours, considering that Colorado is one of the richest states.
Yes
Not as dry as Phoenix though right?
Nope-Denver is the third driest among big cities behind Phoenix and Las Vegas
The sun is more intense because of the altitude
@@mbompenza7082 Good to know! I didn't realize it was that close in dryness
Remember. Respect your Firefighters, Parametics, Police Officers, and Wildland Firefighters in Colorado. Without them, Colorado wouldn't exist.
What do mean no one is from here!!
Denver is overpriced you want real food you ain't gonna find it in Denver
Disagree. I've been all over the US. There's good food throughout Denver. Only thing I agree with is that it's definitely not a late night, NY/Euro-type food scene. Hardly anywhere serves food after 10 pm, except the normal fast food places. It was better before Covid, but not enough peeps are willing to work the night shift anymore.
dont listen to dude he doesn't know what he's talking about...
Cool. You should make a video to clarify what I missed. Or you can just talk smack without context like an unhelpful troll….
Where exactly was he wrong??
