as a teenager this song in particular of theirs really felt like it was meant for me. seeing them live back then with the rest of the crowd really was the closest i had ever been to pure happiness and im grateful to them for that.
These guys saved my life and when you go to their show you here people screaming thank you you saved my life. They're here for a purpose. Tyler's experience with suicide he knows to never ever take it with nothing less than absolute seriousness.

Love your reactions & how well you pick up on their meaning in their songs. You’ll notice in this, after Tyler says you can take it off when your ready (the mask) Josh removes his as soon as he is at the drums - his comfortable, confident place & Tyler removes his when he starts to sing, same deal. I love your thought process on the tape masks also.
The connection this band has with their fans is above & beyond any other.

i watch so many reactions to Twenty One Pilots. but you're one of them that actually know whats being said. loving the reactions! this video is the first time i seen your reactions. defiantly subscribing!
Suicide big topic with him. You'll also be noticing ALOT OF "day vs night" as nightime is hell as he's tortured by demons at night and does not want to sleep, BUT then daytime comes and saves him from hellish night, daytime is his salvation. (like ode to sleep where he says ""I'll stay awake, cause the dark's not taking prisoners tonight""). He often points out that nightime is suicidal (like in this song 1st verse he refers to the suicidality the night before. Also the song "holding onto you" song he refers suicide and says ""it probably happens at night, right"":). So yeah very TOP common> suicide & nighttime together. (and you'll also start noticing some songs connecting spiritual torture demons/spirits with nighttime , like ode to sleep....so look out for that 🙃). Nighttime, demons/spirits, and suicide connections.. so many TOP songs. In real life for him night is hard. In interview he's said that it's worked out well when their girl was a baby he'd take the "night shift" and his wife could stay asleep when baby cries. (And now wife is pregnant with their 2nd baby 👶 )

Congratulations to the engagement.. I finally got to see twenty one pilots live and I can’t possibly put it into words how amazing it was. I was so lucky to get a small venue, I’m pretty sure it’s a rare treat these days. They only did a few small ones this tour and normally they don’t. We had such great seats, I even got to touch him as he passed by me in car radio. Omg. They have ruined all other bands live for me now. I’ve been to roughly 20 concerts other the years but this was an experience like no other. We literally sang every single song with him. The feeling of that was so speacial. I can’t even type this without tearing up. It was that good. Now to this song. You picked up right on it with the meaning, Guns for hands is a special song and another great reaction. Looking forward to more |-/ ❤️🎶

I love this song. But it took me some time to grasp the band because the whole depression/suicide thing is so foreign to me. It wasn’t until I started catching the theological messages in most of their songs and connected the lyrics to scripture and and the daily struggle that I started to understand the messages of the songs within a biblical context and now as a huge TOP fan.
Trees is among my favorite songs of all time after seeing it performed in person in 2019. So many of their songs are written in the same style as David would write a psalm to God. Ode to Sleep, Kitchen Sink, Heavy Dirty Soul, Levitate, Holding on to You, Goner, Trees, Fairly Local, etc all so spiritual. All that was to say that their music has changed a lot of my ministry perspective, as you said in this video, Tyler is not talking at his fans, he is talking as one who is part of the solutions. He’s right there with them.

Thanks for sharing your feelings and thoughts. Just before everything first shut down in 2020, I was struggling several times with getting up and getting to church on Sunday. We have a wonderful pastor and a great church family, and we've been there since 2003. For reasons I'm not sure of, I just 'lost interest' and hearing sermons or even being there in general. I did log in for some of the services that were live-streamed, I've also logged in at a later time to watch some. Apparently they are back to attending church 'as usual' as they say... but it is not 'as usual' because people are wearing masks and some are still not hugging anyone, mask or not. To some people this may not be a big deal but that is my 'as usual' and I just simply cannot be around people who are not acting "my normal", what I remember being normal less than 2 years ago. It upsets me because we all need hugs and a lot of theirs were the ones I used to look forward to each week, especially if things were not going well.
I feel kind of disconnected from the church but more connected to God. However, I question if that's possible because I've heard for so many years that fellowship with your sisters and brothers is part of your walk. So, I feel really bad/guilty at times for not attending church but not guilt like I did something wrong. It's more like I feel bad that maybe I have disappointed our church family. I feel closer to God now than I did before 2020 for sure!! TREES really spoke to me!! I even commented on that reaction video that it sounded and felt like a prayer to me.
Not too big of the religious aspect of the band but I love the blatant messages in the songs

This was was never one of my favorite TOP songs but when I read what the message of this song was it gave me a whole new appreciation for it. Context this was the second song I heard of there’s so I didn’t know about Tyler’s issues and the connection to the fans. Twenty one pilots are 1 of 3 artists that I can relate to 100%.

The reason Josh took his mask off when he got to his drums is because his drums is his mask. He said before an interview that he didn’t ever wanna be front and center. He didn’t want people to look at him and when he gets behind his drums they’re in front of him. They are what he hides behind. At least that’s how I took it because he has said that in interviews.

I just saw these guys in concert Friday in Columbus, Ohio. They grew up in the area and currently live there. Since they got their start here his shows are more special here i feel like.. The guy that was next to me at the concert was reminiscing about when they used to gigs in bars before they became famous. We always are happy for him to preform at home. A side of them that you don't get to see in the video is that the two have a great sense of humor. My favorite non-music moment from Friday is that there was a guy in the crowd that had a Michigan shirt. (Ohio state vs Michigan is the big football rivalry here). And he tried to get permission from the fire marshal to burn the shirt and was legit disappointed when they said no. Even though I wasn't there on the other days he was performing there are videos oh him introducing his daughter on stage and checking the score for the Ohio state game every few songs on Wednesday and Saturday respectfully.
Just to rectify one small thing, the skimask isn't him. He put it on when blurryface, his other personnality, take the control and is going to talk.

That's fun, we all have another interpretation, for me i think it's talking about a teenager who killed people, probably at school. Tyler can't sleep 'Cause he feels not safe, he take the Kid outside to take a last walk before probably going to the judge.
Btw, i think the main topic is the fact that guns are easy to find in the usa (at all ages) and so peoples are not safe wherever they go
