I got a question. Why use ISLC over say memreduct and setup a timer resolution service to auto run? Memreduct can clear not only standby list but working set, system working set, modified page list and combine memory list.
Time. Doing it all manually is better for sure, but it's not as convenient and then imagine if someone wanted to revert it all back, islc is super simple

I did some research about the launch options that you mentioned and can confirm that most of them no longer work or give no improvements, see following: +mat_disable_fancy_blending (removed) +snd_use_hrtf (removed) -noaafonts (outdated, no difference in game for years already) +r_drawparticles (while technically it works, it's disabled for competetive matches) -no-browser (no longer works, Valve updated ingame overlay recently) so from your list there 3 are the only ones that actually work: -novid -nojoy -forcenovsync
What does -nojoy do? found nothing on google, also a big one that might help others is: -refresh 144 Obviously this is using 144hz as example but you can change the number from 120-240etc to match your monitors refresh rate.
I've had this PC for about five years now and although getting really old I could not figure out why I couldn't run CSGO without stuttering and crashes. I have a 1080 with i7-8700k. Turns out using the graphics card cleaner program worked and I can't thank you enough!!
Something that should be mentioned for anyone using an AMD x3d processor, core parking is disabled using high performance power plan. You need to have it set to balanced. Core parking is quite important with the new x3d processors and you are loosing gaming performance if you dont have core parking enabled. Wont make a huge difference with CSGO it has to be said but CS2 it just might so keep it in mind. You can always try both I guess once its released.
I have a Ryzen 5800X3D are you sure I need to enable core parking? Every other CS:GO FPS guide is showing to disable this, I even installed "ParkControl" due to this and set it to Bitsum High Performance Power Plan (which disables core parking as well)
@@kartiloco9929 from my understanding core parking on x3d cpus allows the os to make use of the l3 cache. Which is basically how the processor performs better in gaming. Update your chipset drivers and set to balanced power profile is the advice from AMD. But this advice should of course be tested. Try with core parking and try without see what works for you. On the latest x3d processors xbox game bar update is needed too and needs to be enabled. I dont know if thats the same for your generation of processor sorry.
just so people are aware, this only applies to the 7900x3d and 7950x3d because they have 2 ccd’s. only 1 ccd on each cpu utilises the 3dv cache so enabling core parking forces games to use the 3dv cache ccd for games, this is why the 7800x3d performs better because it only has a single ccd so the 3dv cache is used all the time
@@kartiloco9929 disable it buddy, i run a 5800x3d on the ryzen high performance plan to get the highest possible fps, the 5800x3d only has a single ccd so the cache is always being used, parking cores will hinder performance

I saw some people used -threads in lunch options, don't believe it was mentioned here unless I somehow missed it, but for example if somone had 8 cores I think you could set a launch option to -threads 8 for the better performance, not sure if relevent though. I have 16 cores on my new PC, but I've decided not to use -threads in my new set up as first im not sure if it still does anything in 2023 and second im not sure if I need to set -threads to 16 if the command still existed anyway, so whatever. But ya, hopefully you'll have a similar in depth FPS guide for CS2 when that officially drops.

Since CSGO came out 12 years ago, I have switched my rig multiple times (always high end components), internet connection, peripherals... I always had the same issue. Microstuttering all over the place. I watched tons of guides, forums,... and I knew most of the tricks and configurations you mention, but never got the game to work properly... UNTIL I SAW THIS VIDEO. As far as I know, you are the ONLY ONE that mentions the SOURCE ENGINE's bug regarding the installation path... That made it for me! Now the game runs as it was supossed to run on my computer. THANK YOU!
By the way be careful about using recommended audio in the CFG map. It’s outdated, so snd_mixahead 0.01 or 0.05 causes input delay and delay on bullets. Go with default 0.025. 😉
Had to comment here to appreciate your efforts and this video. I almost gave up hope of having decent FPS. When my system was working well, I was getting FPS in the range of 150-300. Then something went wrong and my FPS was dipping as low as 50, with an average of around 150. After following your guide, my FPS during competitive matches ranges between 250-450. Eagerly waiting for a similar guide for CS-2 when it comes out.

Those launch options only works in offline maps, game sees them as cheats in online games so they won't work. Biggest fps boost for me is tickrate 64 or 128. 64 is +50 fps more.

Hey all, I have an i3-4005u Laptop CPU, and it is very weak. I have paired it with GTX 1060 using eGPU adaptor. I am experiencing lags in csgo due to CPU bottleneck. Is there any way to improve performance in CPU bottleneck. If so, please share it, it will be very helpful. Note: I am playing other games like Apex Legends and Fortnite, which are much heavier than CSGO, yet still they run very smoothly with stable FPS, however i am majorly having lags in CSGO

@@marvelfan2025 the reason apex and fortnite is running smoother is because they are heavily GPU based so it utilizes the Gpu and not so much cpu and that makes it smoother because your processor is normally the one that is bottlenecking your pc so when the cpu isnt really used the graphics card can take control and get the desired fps from that but csgo uses alot of CPU aswell so when the cpu is hitting the high utility numbers it starts to have a hard time and caps your fps alot

I did this and i got the fps boost, but i resetted my config and now my audio is so messed up. Before i could hear exactly where steps and bullets came from but now i dont even hear step until im like next to them, and the gun shoots are so much louder then the steps. Please help someone
Some things are just straight up wrong... Don't put your PC on high performance it only boost your electricity bill For competitive settings you should put "effect detail" and "shader detail" at least on high for visibility through grenade smoke and turn on your global shadow quality for an advantage on some angles 💀

In the Intelligent standby list cleaner I have a current timer resolution of 0.9973. Maybe someone knows why this is so, and what it may be due to. After I made all the settings in the program as in the video and pressed start I have the current timer resolution changed to 0.4959. Thank you!
Acer monitor? Do not set it to the highest value, most monitors will have tons of ghosting on the highest setting. Set it to just On. Not off or the highest option

image sharpening on AMD GPU 6700xt will cause a black screen error within CSGO and Source games, recommended to leave that off as well

did u flip the recommended and fps text? high is better for seeing through stuff and low is fps but its flipped..
I did this and i got the fps boost, but i resetted my config and now my audio is so messed up. Before i could hear exactly where steps and bullets came from but now i dont even hear step until im like next to them, and the gun shoots are so much louder then the steps. Please help someone
Some things are just straight up wrong...
Don't put your PC on high performance it only boost your electricity bill
For competitive settings you should put "effect detail" and "shader detail" at least on high for visibility through grenade smoke and turn on your global shadow quality for an advantage on some angles 💀
its fine if you put it back to default after gaming/ heavy usage, to ensure nothing holding back the performance

In the Intelligent standby list cleaner I have a current timer resolution of 0.9973. Maybe someone knows why this is so, and what it may be due to. After I made all the settings in the program as in the video and pressed start I have the current timer resolution changed to 0.4959. Thank you!

set it ON it will lower ur ghosting in you mointer
Acer monitor? Do not set it to the highest value, most monitors will have tons of ghosting on the highest setting. Set it to just On. Not off or the highest option
