The case that Del drags around with him represents his burden of grief, which he doesn't share with anyone. When he finally tells Neil the truth at the train station, they are next seen carrying it together. This is a brilliant movie that should never be remade.
Yes but I wish there was a source for edited footage. The "director's edit" or whatever. Imagine the hilarious stuff that didn't make the final cut, must be hours worth!
I remember watching this when i was like 11. Instant favorite. But that car between the 2 truck, the skeleton/devil flash, that shit obliterated my sides. Never gets old.
I honestly believe John Candy should’ve been nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in this movie. It has so many levels and he plays it perfectly.
When Steve Martin is sitting on the train at the end, reflecting on the travels, those were moments between takes where Martin is waiting for the next cut. Hughes kept the camera rolling, and used those moments in the film.
This was by far one of the best comedy movies ever. It is heartbreaking at the end but even more so because John Candy passed away in 1994 of a heart attack while filming his last movie wagons east. Also it was just announced that this movie has been released with full deleted scenes. It includes the interaction with the pizza delivery guy who stole from them. There is an entire scene of Del explaining to Neil after his wife passed away he couldn't return home and has just been traveling the entire time. Fun fact the F word was said 19 times which is the most in a single scene ever. Great reaction you guys. Happy Thanksgiving
@@lee6198 On Amazon, I only saw the Blu=Ray in this extended version but it says 'Over 60 minutes of deleted and extended scenes I think is how they said it!👍
Awesome Reactions 😎 your laughter was infective 😂 and you totally got the mix of humour and heart strings. This movie is a forgotten Classic and deserves so much more recognition.. RIP John Candy we were Blessed 🙏 with your presence
So the timing on the ticket - 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm. Remember that Neil is going from New York to Chicago, west, from Eastern Time to Central Time. So the flight is longer than 45 minutes, it's just that he's "gaining" an hour.
You guys should check out "Cool Runnings" for another John Candy movie. It's similar to this movie in that it's a heartwarming comedy based on the true story of the first Jamaican bobsled team
Doogie who played Kramer twice on Seinfeld was also in "Running Scared" with Billy Crystal & Gregory Hines the year before this one. (1986) A Must Watch on your List!
Hey guys, this is my first time here. Great reaction! Glad you enjoyed it. There are very few Thanksgiving movies out there but this one is absolutely perfect. It's wholesome, heart warming and hilarious. They couldn't have picked two better actors to work together. Another fantastic John Candy movie is Uncle Buck. It's just as good as this one. Happy Thanksgiving!!
This Era was priceless man. 1987. What a year for iconic films. Original predator Original robocop Good morning Vietnam Lethat weapon Planes trains and automobiles Just to name a fraction from that year.
"What the hell are you drivin'?" lmao I never get tired of watching people enjoy this movie for the first time. If you haven't seen it already, you've gotta check out 'The Great Outdoors' with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. Another 80's classic.
Yooo, cool to see you guys reactin to a comedy movie. "Superbad" would be a good one for your channel.. also "Borat".. But if you want another old classic comedy.. "See No Evil, Hear No Evil"; starring Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder.. Trust me.. quality stuff.. Much love peeps!
If you want to watch another great road trip movie then you need to check out "Rain Man" (1988), starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, winner of four Academy Awards. An amazing film! Hope you react to it someday.
13:38 on the one hand while Del is a slob. How in the hell did neal NOT notice the fact that there was laundry and socks in the sink before hand lol? Also if I got picked up by the balls I'd probably be traumatized for a very long time.
If you enjoyed this movie and already seen Uncle Buck,, I'd recommend Dutch (1991), it's like a mix between Uncle buck and Plantes, train and Automobile, John Candy wasn't in this one, but it was still a pretty good John Hugues movie (written by).
I also loved this movie. It's one of my ole' favorite movies. Thank you so very much for playing it. If you get the chance, please watch another one called "Uncle Buck" I'm sure that you will enjoy it too. I hope and pray that you three will have a Happy Thanksgiving Day and a Very Merry Christmas. God bless youse'". Adios.
The guy who robbed them was a pizza delivery driver that neil didn't tip in a deleted scene. They should have kept it in because when neil said he had over $700 in his wallet it shows how much of a dick he was for not tipping the guy.
Like the young blonde I’ve have seen this movie several times, but I happen to become father that year it came out. But it is so seldom that USA can follow Europe humour. But this is not overplayed. As I often think Americans humour is at least on movie . Have fun with messing around 🌷🎸😊
You guys cut it but that infamous minute long 18 F-bombs at the rental car desk is a reason why this movie is rated R. They refuse to remove it to get a lesser rating
This film was much longer in it's original format, where Neal's wife didn't believe Neal, and thought Neal was cheating, so when she saw Del, she realized Neal was telling the truth
Let me be honest. He pities him. It is not a good scene. Sure he invites him to his home to see everything he does not have. He is polite but in his heart all he knows is a man brought him to a place where he now feels more alone than ever. If you ever have a friend who is a third leg. I promise you they feel like a third leg and hate themselves more because of what those around them have. Much love and keep on keepin on J.
Ha, surprised no one has pointed this out and maybe today it’s kind of a letter known thing, the guy who plays Owen, who spits on his hand and offers it to Steve Martin, plays the professor in Spider-Man two, sidenote, y’all suck, lol Hope you guys have improved your editing, also side note, Steve, Martin’s wallet, that’s right the wallet that got burnt, belong to the ass of my first cow, lol.
I'm the real article. My wife loves me. My mom loves me. My dad loves me. My brothers & sisters love me. My cousins love me. My friends love me. The Hobo down the street loves me. The crazy naked guy on the beach loves me. I'm the real article.
Ending commentary you said in the pool somebody said put my hands between two pillows that's not two pillows why would someone try to ruin a reaction video

@@kristatos2010 No not remade but extra footage on dvd would be awesome!
But Neil DID help him carry it around before then, several times.
RIP John Candy & John Hughes. A wonderful film from start to finish
Still Miss Those Guy's,May They Both Rip
Still one of the funniest buddy comedy road trip movies ever made!
I remember watching this when i was like 11. Instant favorite. But that car between the 2 truck, the skeleton/devil flash, that shit obliterated my sides. Never gets old.

If not he should get a posthumous(hope that`s the correct word) award for adding his talents the film industry...

Released where? I've been hoping that would happen for years!
Its that a new release? I'm going to check this out because this is my all time favorite comedy. And one of my fave movies ever.

Small fun fact for Breaking Bad fans. The guy driving the cab also played Walt and Jesse's junkyard pal. Larry Hankin is his name.

The taxi driver is Harry Dean Stanton, rip. First guy to get killed by "Alien"!
Uncle buck is another good one
Speaking of Jamaica, watch "Cool Runnings" (1993) if you haven't seen that John Candy film.

26:48 the motel attendant is also the guy who plays the lawyer in Jurassic Park.
Summer Rental is another great Candy flick. Kinda underrated. Great reaction guys...
Such a great movie! Murphy’s Law from start to finish🤣🤣🤣. RIP John Candy❤️
Another Thanksgiving travel movie to watch is "Dutch" (1991) starring Ed O'Neill from "Married, With Children" and "Modern Family."
"What the hell are you drivin'?" lmao I never get tired of watching people enjoy this movie for the first time.

Tommy Boy is another great adventure comedy, it's a great watch if any of you haven't seen it!
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed this movie, looking forward to seeing you guys watch many more classics from the 70s and 80s, greetings from Canada !!!👊😁
This was actually a low-key horror movie because …….the wife’s body was in the trunk😮
Camp candy was the name of the cartoon.u got a awesome memory.
John Candy might be the greatest actor of his generation.
Patsy Cline did do a version of the Back In Baby's Arms song but the version used in this movie was by Emmylou Harris
I Watch This Movie Every Thanksgiving, It's A Tradition In My Family
Yooo, cool to see you guys reactin to a comedy movie. "Superbad" would be a good one for your channel.. also "Borat".. But if you want another old classic comedy.. "See No Evil, Hear No Evil"; starring Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder.. Trust me.. quality stuff.. Much love peeps!
The cartoon series you are thinking of is Life With Louis, with Louis Anderson

John Candy was such a great comedian! He did the heartfelt.stuff so well, too
"Gnat...Bug....is there a connection there?"
Great movie.
He was Kramer in the Bizzaro world! Good call! Also in Armed and Dangerous which you guys might want to tackle.
Yes, John Candy did have his own cartoon called Camp Candy 🙂
One of my favorite movies. Thanks for your reaction.
To guy in the middle. Relax I was crying when first saw this film it’s alright not to act cool 🤣. 1 of the funniest film ever made 👍🏿
I still cry watching it, and I've seen it probably hundreds of times.
The guy who robbed them was a pizza delivery driver that neil didn't tip in a deleted scene. They should have kept it in because when neil said he had over $700 in his wallet it shows how much of a dick he was for not tipping the guy.
Oh wow that's crazy. Just thought he was a low thug robber tbh but that sheds some light
Damn the blonde girl got muscles!!
Yes! PTA is a Thanksgiving tradition. Move over Tarantino. Steve is the f-bomb f***** master! Did you catch the post-credit shot?

yeah there's some vid of Emma Stone re-enacting it. I've been that mad at such companies:)

The couch takes up 3/3 of the movie. I have absolutely no idea what's going on besides listening to it. That's too bad.
