In this video we are showing you how to remove and replace the headlight on a Jaguar X-TYPE. Unfortunately you will have to remove the bumper cover in order to remove the headlight. This will be the only possible way to remove and replace the headlight.
We cover the whole process in this video and once you see it you should be able to do the repair. It is not very complicated just time consuming. Most of the new vehicles are designed that way nowadays. It will be the same procedure for the left and the right headlight.

Than you very much. I did not expect such a video about an old Jaguar.
Just a warning guys. That car didn't have headlight washers and if you do be VERY careful as you are likely to snap the arms on the plastic cruciform pivot for the washers bumper cover. You also need to remove the washer fluid tube from washer actuator at the bottom of the headlight - there is a clip to remove where the tube fits and then the tube pulls off easily.

This is really a great video. I have a question for you. I just need to replace the passenger side headlight assembly......will I be able to just pull back the bumper far enough to remove the one headlight or will I have to remove the bumper all the way?
Take it off or you will break something. It's not actually that difficult
on the marker light you push the metal retainer in not off
What if the headlights are working at all with the replacement of the bulbs
You said in your video that the headlamp units are identical for the left and right, are you sure??
They are not. Depending if its LHD of RHD the headlight unit on the driver side is "shorter" length to comply with driving regulations.

Wtf 🤬 there are a few clips from the inside. They are a pain to get to but if you’re just changing the bulb it’s easier than removing the whole bumper- almost.
