HERMÈS Cut celebrates simple shapes through its powerful style. A circle. A round shape. Hermès Cut plays with the vocabulary of geometry dear to Hermès. Sharp angles and crisply drawn lines endow this universally appealing watch with a distinctive identity.
The balanced proportions of the satin-brushed and polished case and the gleam of its clean-cut edges accentuate its character. The crown, boldly positioned at half past one and embellished with a lacquered or engraved H, stands out for its originality. Playing with light and shimmering effects, the bevel-cut bezel frames a generous dial with a curved edge, punctuated by luminescent applied Arabic numerals. The unique embossed font complements the simplicity of the watch and enlivens time read-off.
The watch is powered by a Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement. This mechanical self-winding calibre, revealed through the sapphire crystal caseback, drives the display of hours, minutes and seconds. Polished, phosphorescent and partly openworked, the elegant baton-shaped hour and minute hands, along with a large seconds hand bearing a luminous dot, sweep over the silver-toned dial with its grey- and orange-accented minutes track.
The seamlessly integrated metal bracelet features supple links with a rounded profile and alternating finishes picking up the case design. In addition, a rubber strap is available in a range of eight colours drawn from the Hermès palette - white, orange, gris perle, gris étain, glycine, vert criquet, bleu jean and capucine - while a clever interchangeability system makes it easy to play with styles on a daily basis.
Whether all in steel or in an elegant two-tone combination of steel and rose gold - with 56 bezel-set diamonds or without - the Hermès Cut watch asserts its versatile and timeless personality.

Wow absolutely love it! Definitely hope to add to my collection!
The two tone is really beautiful.
I'd love for them to do a 37mm or 38mm version of the H08. Though honestly I would have no issue wearing this watch, its amazing. They made a unique integrated bracelet design, and that's not easy. PS never worry about doing videos in French, German or any other language. If people can't be bothered to read the subtitles then they can go elsewhere.
Attainable high quality watch. They will be very successful selling very high quality replacement straps.
Hermès meanwhile makes a turnover of 600 Million Euro with watches...
@@WatchAdvisor is this a pathway to buy a Birkin? I could convince my wife I need more watches.. BTW I own their first H8 with nylon strap. The clasp has a micro adjustment that is simply the best I have seen - you can adjust mid-day without taking the watch off
Great review, Alexander. I am the target market for this watch, and while I love the design and the interchangeable strap system, I think the brushed finish on the case/bezel and lugs detracts from the overall appearance. It looks a bit too masculine for my taste. It will be interesting to see how this line evolves over time.
Thanks for sharing your passion with us! Try it on your wrist and please keep us posted…
Bravo! Great design. Way to stay distinctly Hermes. Stand out while not SHOUTING. Thank you Alexander for the presentation.
Thanks for sharing our passion!
Middle aged male here.
😍😍😍 I so want one. Two-tone on bracelet
Same! Should be gender neutral advertising for these.
Ça fait plaisir d’entendre parler de montres en français lors du salon W&W…
Merci!
This collection will be a home-run for Hermès; stunning case shape
Absolutely true… that’s a home run ….
I’ve tried it on and it’s perfect for a 7” men’s wrist.
Thanks for sharing! Which one did you try?
@@WatchAdvisor I just purchased the stainless steel on bracelet and ordered a separate orange strap. Had they offered it in all yellow gold, I may have opted for it.
Very impressive. Perhaps the sleeper hit of WW. Sophisticated design that'll do well. I'll be interested to see how the range progresses because I'm surprised by the decision to go for 36mm (large size for most women) with a wide, low taper bracelet. And no leather? That seems perverse for Hermes!. The steel seems the most successful design and surely more colour will come. But a fantastic launch that will worry Rolex, Omega, Cartier and JLC. Sport chic for women! No diamonds! Mrs H will be happy.
I hear you and I can tell you that Hermès meanwhile makes a turnover of 600 million with watches...
english always......this hermes is a winner...
Looks lovely, like just about anything Hermes. In an age of rapidly increasing prices this is a good deal, like the H08.
Love listening to your discussion in French and I would totally rock the steel case with orange strap.
That’s the 100% Hermès one … Good choice! Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
Honestly they look like fashion watches instead of a fashion house looking to get into high horological watches.
The movements are high grade swiss movements. The quality is there.
I hear Parmigiani is for sale. Maybe Hermes should buy them so the styling can match the watch making because watches are all meh from a styling standpoint in my humble opinion. My wife loves their purses though.
Face-on this watch very much resembles the Tiffany Intaglio sold in the '90s, with the concentric circle design motif etc. (The Intaglio was slimmer and quartz, produced in all steel or two-tone steel and gold, with or without a metal bracelet.)
Really? Thats a complete different watch though....
Last years ho8 chronograph still isnt out, why keep releasing watches they dont have capacity to produce?
I ordered it a year ago, and my boutique sales agent told me its still not available, shorter rubber straps also not available yet.
The chronograph could be released very soon... I have an invitation for an event with Hermès end of the month... Concerning the strap your boutique should give you the answers... if not... send me an email and I forward it to Hermès watchmaking HQ in Switzerland... alexander(@)watchadvisor(.)com
Very nice
Thanks for sharing!
It is equally a men's watch, enjoyed the French (even though I don't speak it).
Yes! If you have the chance to try it, please keep us posted…
is there a version for men available or why not using this model cut for men as well?
Maybe later… who knows?
@@WatchAdvisor thanks for quick answer , is there an info for extra bracelet links to better adjust cause I guess for a 17 cm men wrist there should be one or two( Hermes said this cut is made for 16 cm wrists ) so would be super nice to get us an info about that, cause this watch is super interesting for men as well , regarding the fact that smaller diameter sizes won’t be a one trick pony only🍀✌️
Super! I like it put in on my wristS.
Try it and keep us posted please...
@@WatchAdvisor yup!
These probably look better in person than on video. Nothing special.
You should try them first as you wrote… “nothing special” How can you know without trying???
@@WatchAdvisor It looks nothing special on video, to clarify.
Try them if you can and keep us posted
They should stick to ladies handbags and accessories in my opinion , that’s what they do best . Not a big fan of the look of these and “ fashion “ watch brands depreciate faster than a new car….From a design point of view I doubt many men will find these breathtaking and no date will be an issue for many women I believe .The two tone with diamond bezel is decent , the case size being the best part , the dials and bracelets are nothing special , at least in my eyes .The pricing is also OK not too greedy , for once ; so well done there .
Hermès always manufactured watches - learn history please - and today they are highly successful doing it on a very professional level…
I never said they didn’t manufacture watches in the past , just that they are better known for some of their other products . It is just my opinion , and although I am no watchmaker or expert I am pretty confident that they rank pretty low in terms of horological prestige in the watch world, at least to serious collectors and aficionados . They might be doing well in terms of sales because they sell watches to ladies mainly ; but they have yet to produce a contemporary collection that has the “ wow “ factor and some serious horological cache .Some other “ fashion “ brands as they are known in the watch community have made progress , like Bulgari with their Octo Finissimo collection for example . If you compare this to what Bulgari has done , they are not even close ; again, only my opinion , to which I am entitled to I believe.
