Rolex has made me a Grand Seiko fan
just bought my forst GS, great video and hs addressed any buyers regret i may have had 🙂
Tokyo Lion! Stunning
kodo is incredible, no doubt about that, its really a thing of beauty. But a nicer bracelet on a base Spring Drive Snowflake, is the only thing holding back majority of its first time buyers.
Everyone complains about the current bracelet options; needs more taper and microadjusts. Why isn't this being addressed? Can y'all please introduce a new, refined bracelet, please?
Compared to rolex the bracelets feels jingly and not as refined. Also the tapering must be adressed! We need similar tapering as rolex
Please. This. Those bracelets need to be fixed.
Concur. Easy fixes too.
VC just did this with the Overseas. And that bracelet was starting from a far better place than any of the GS stuff.
Just put a leather strap on it & stop being petty. Why would a man want a shiny bracelet ?
Fantastic video, fantastic photos and amazing new releases. No other manufacturer comes even close to these amazing dials.
Thank you!
That Genbi valley dial is to die for. And the angular case and colour of the Tokyo lion is just pure watch porn.
I'm obsessing over the Genbi Valley Hi-Beat model
Excellent video! Thanks 🙏!
Thank you!
Nice presentation of some lovely watches. I just wish I didn’t need to hear the phrase “carefully curated” for the thousandth time in a watch/luxury good video 😁
What a great line up of new watches absolutely amazing.
Thanks! We agree :)
Best piece's I've seen from watches & wonders the best brand and gave a kick in the butt for swiss watches and no response from them
Respect!
That new Snow Valley dial is amazing. I could see that becoming GS's answer to the Rolex GMT-Master-II.
Love seeing more manualwind movements
Why do you prefer it to automatic?
@@milosmilosmilos- it’s a very elegant way to power a watch. They can be quite beautiful without the rotor in the way obscuring much of the movement, unless you simply like looking at rotors.
Manual movements allow for a slimmer, often better proportioned watch. Grand Seiko’s aesthetic in my opinion often benefits form a slimmer movement which in turn allows for a slimmer case with better visual balance.
Winding a watch is a pleasurable thing, even autos, if they aren’t worn regularly and actively, particularly with extended reserves, they still require relatively regular winding.
Manual wound watches are for those in the know, or at least a lot of those in the know.
@waterfordrs22 you had me in the beginning, but you lost me in the end
@@wardog5537 you’ll get over it
Beautiful watches. I hope they will introduce a glidelock system on their bracelets.
I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
Hey rob good to see you again 🎉
Hey Ryan! Ditto :)
The same way Seiko has been slowly bridging the gap to Grand Seiko these new GS Movements are slowly getting closer to Credor standards. Give the 9R31 the Credor Flower Motif on the Spring Barrel and you'd fool most casuals. This new 9SA4 is also a step in the Credor direction. Just gorgeous. Plus the new Titanium & Steel alloys are great ideas for a mirror polished watch.
All I want from GS is for them to make a new optional bracelet with Micro Adjust, Tapering and Rolex weight/feel to finally shut up the people who are like 'I love basically everything about the GS but because Redditors and pedantic Reviewers say that Micro Adjust and Tapering are incredibly important I just can't bring myself to buy a GS. If only my wrist wasn't so incredibly sensitive to that extra 2-3mm of space between it and the bracelet due to the lack of Micro Adjust. And IF ONLY I could stop obsessively thinking about and looking at the underside of my wrist to check that the bracelet does indeed taper THEN I'd be able to enjoy owning a Grand Seiko. But as it stands because it doesn't use an identical Rolex bracelet I just can't bring myself to get one... Even though GS beats Rolex in terms of movement, tech, dial, case, finishing, availability and price the Micro Adjust and Tapering issues are insurmountable issues for me...'
That new hand wind highbeat has my name on it
This E9 is HOT 😮
Kodo II (SLGT005) ... or a House...
Hmmm... close call 😊❤
Looks like a Bel Canto!
You would have more customers if your bracelets were comparable to the Tudor Ranger
Grand Seiko has released a cutting-edge Kodo/Kodo II which has NEVER been seen before and changed watchmaking forever! And you're going on about a F'ing bracelet lol
Agreed. I respect Grand Seiko, but good lord those bracelets need an overhaul. Any of their watches with a bracelet with explorer dimensions would fly off the shelves and open them up to soooo many new buyers.
@@ninjasrose1653kodo is incredible, no doubt about that, its really a thing of beauty. But a nicer bracelet on a base Spring Drive Snowflake, is the only thing holding back majority of its first time buyers.
So you are telling me this is a Lord Marvel with a clear caseback and power reserve indicator for 10 times the price?
I'd call this growth
I want the spring drive
Excellent choice!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
😁
You are so Much Better Then Teddy B
9sa4 Better efficiency is plus minus 10 seconds per day .?
-1 to +10 accuracy of 9SA5, same should be for this also, but grand seiko hi-beat movement are not known for accuracy, for its price point it's not worth it except the dial.
@@HARIHARAN-ow6bw I’ve SLGH005 such a beautiful watch and one of my favorite but it gains 10 seconds every single day and that’s what makes me regret buying it.
@@MK-mu7pf yes, if you want to buy grand seiko only go for spring drive, mechanical GS is not worth the money for its movement and bracelet quality.
@@HARIHARAN-ow6bw you’re absolutely right, Spring drive is better option.
Lovely but I don’t understand how the WR is only splash resistant. Why is this so much lower than the rest of the evolution 9 watches.
The 9SA4 is very tempting! Hoping for a Very Finely Tuned version.
So glad to hear you like it!
@@GrandSeikoUK
I believe this is the first evolution 9 series with the minute markers printed on the dial rather than on the rehault Nice!
What about bracelets?
None of that SBGZ009...
Bracelets are still too poor. Sorry.
Ugh. Agreed. Please overhaul the bracelets.
You actually didn’t have a single watch to show?
nice to see they copied the Bel Canto
Hi, thanks for your comment! The Kodo II 'Daybreak' is inspired by the Grand Seiko Kodo I 'Twilight', which came out in March 2022. Thanks, Grand Seiko UK.
@@GrandSeikoUK do you mean to say the design of the Kodo I predated the Christopher ward "Bel Canto" so it is in fact a Seiko design and the Bel canto is most likely inspired by the it ?
Well they are both watches, they have that much in common, but are completely in every other respect.
Mmm yeahhh pass
Subpar bracelet no taper and a useless clasp, releasing 100s of limited edition, useless grand seiko.
Who hurt you?
Seriously. The bracelets need a massive overhaul. Why are they ignoring these massive complaints?!
@@vintko yes, also the 9SA5 movement is very inaccurate
Yes bro
blah blah the whole gs spiel is wearing thin , how about a limited edition bukakke version next
